I order delivery from here a lot--probably at least once every two weeks or so. As far as Americanized Chinese food goes, there are a lot of options, but this one has been pretty consistently decent. Their food isn't going to leave you wowed, but it is a respectable place. They have all of the staples: General Tso's, egg foo young, seseme chicken, etc. It's all pretty typical Chinese food fare. Tastes like it should. I've liked every dish except for the sweet and sour shrimp...on that, the breading did not stick well to the shrimp. Aside from that, everything has been good. They delivery pretty quickly, and their portion sizes are large enough. They do have one delivery driver that will just mash the doorbell until you answer, which is a little annoying. Come on, give me a second to get to the door at least! They're not the best Chinese restaurant in Milwaukee, but sometimes being good enough is good enough.

I thought it was pretty great. The food came fast and it was hot. The vegetables in the chicken and broccoli were very fresh. The broccoli was green and had a little bit of a crunch to it. The sauce was mild, but flavorful. The sesame chicken had a good flavor, but could have used more sauce. It was a little dry. The veggie fried rice was amaze-balls! The flavor was good and again, the veggies had a fresh little crunch to them. The egg rolls were pretty good, albeit a little greasy. Overall, pretty darn good Chinese delivery. Oh...and when I say fast delivery, I mean from ordering on GrubHub to my doorbell ringing...20-25 minutes!!!! Fairly priced and came in resealable/reusable plastic containers; perfect to take leftovers to work for lunch because the portions are very healthy!!!!!

This restaurant has very good food AND a clean kitchen. We called prior to ordering to get an idea of the size of the portions. The person on the phone stated small is a single serving, large is for two. No real sizing. The quality of the food far out classes a more well known oriental restaurant just down the road. The size of their shrimp borders on brontasorus sized. If you are on the fence about trying this place do yourselves a favor and go for it!

Mehh... Basically a carry-out/delivery operation although you can eat there. Guy at the counter didn't seem to care that I was there-- I was the only one, at noon. Quick service. Kitchen seemed clean. Chicken fried rice ($7.95) was odd-- orange colored rice with almost nothing in it but some chicken strips. Flavorless. Chicken with snow peas-- $9.95 had odd-textured mushy chicken slices and pea pods that were not fresh (hence very soft., not crisp). For $18 total, not worth it! Won't be back. Surely there are better places in the area. Have to do some searching. (Front windows were filthy; mirrored walls weren't clean-- c'mon guys-- you really want business?)

Great Delivery- but if you want your food for lunch- MUST order by 11am to get by NOON! Food is really good- kitchen is super clean I like that you can watch the cook while waiting for your food. Our family favorites: Generals Tso chicken, sweet sour chicken, crab Rangoon, Happy family Mix- all good choices.. Cant beat the price.

Stay away! Worst service I have ever experienced from a chinese restaurant. I called to order for delivery and had a question about an item on the menu, the man on the phone says, "sorry, we are too busy for questions, please place order." I should have stopped there but I ordered anyways. He said 45 min delivery which is standard, took 1 hour and 45 min to get here and he forgot our egg rolls and crab rangoon. At this point I am already upset having to eat dinner after 8pm. I called to inform him that they forgot part of our order and again he advises me that they are too busy and places me on hold for 5 min. When he returns he has the nerve to say, we are sorry we forgot your food, we can add it to your NEXT order for free! What?!?!?! I don't want it for my next order because there will be no next order from this restaurant. I asked him to take the money off my bill for what I ordered or deliver it right now. He told me he cannot take money off of my bill, so I demandes he then bring me what they forgot. Another 30 mins later, we were already done with dinner and the door bell rings. Oh, our appetizers are here! Worst night of chinese food ever. Try Super No. 1 on layton ave, we have ordered from them many times and never had an issue. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars.

This is the best fast pick up or delivery Americanized Chinese restaurant in the area. Although we have quite a few good Thai, Vietnamese, and other Southeast Asian restaurants in the area, the Chinese dishes at the Vietnamese places are actually better. There are quite a few dismal Chinese take-away joints on the South Side, and they are all worse than this one. Their delivery is not that slow, and is somewhat accurate, their special fried rice is palatable, the standard Americanized Cantonese dishes are acceptable. In a bigger city anywhere in the West, Midwest or Northeast, this place wouldn't be able to stay in business, but here on the South Side of Milwaukee, this may be as good as Chinese take-out gets.

I'm giving this only one star because although the food tasted decent, I got a case of food poisoning a few hours later. Throwing up until 2 in the morning isn't something I want to experience again so I'm not going to order from this place again. Ever.

The food was a mix. The vegetable chow mein was excellent, flavorful, and fresh. The crab ragoons were the best I've had in the area- not awesome, but properly fried and filled. The fried rice was really good. The egg roll was mush inside, and not that great. The Sesame Chicken was bland, and not at all breaded or fried right- the breading was definitely chalky/floury inside, but the chicken was overcooked. Probably they let the oil get too cool during the dinner rush by overcrowding it. It took a little over an hour for delivery- but only 10 minutes longer than the estimate, so in the acceptable range. It was okay, but if I could order online from China House, I'd never order American Chinese from anywhere else.

I'm a regular customer of Super No 1 and probably order 3-4 times a month. Aside from 1 bad experience when they were an hour late on a delivery and the food was less than par, I've had really great experiences. I wouldn't say that this place is the best in Milwaukee, but they are good for the price. They have a nice sauce for their general tso chicken, their lo mein is very good and you can't go wrong with their potstickers. I also love their sesame chicken and pepper steak. Their delivery is typically average and they deliver quite a distance. I also love how I can order online through grubhub. I would definitely recommend if you want affordable chinese.
