Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

We used to eat here nearly every weekend. Presently it has the third owner so Lings is just a carry over name. We always had the buffet and drove in from Waukesha because of the special egg rolls, better than normal fried rice and some other items. We stopped coming because unless you are there at five o'clock on the weekend, the buffet is not fresh. The fried rice was too often under cooked and hard. Tables are not cleaned up timely and the place just needs freshening up. I'd like to hear things have turned around. We'd be regulars again.

I was in Milwaukee for a couple of days. I found this chinese place listed in the yellow pages somewhere and called them with a $30 order. I told them the time I would like to pick up the food (about 45 min after my call). When I got there, they had not even started preparing the order. The lady at the counter told me a long story about how something happenned, then they got a large order and started working on it, etc etc. In my opinion none of those were acceptable excuses for why my order was not ready at the promised time. I had asked them to make some of the items spicy. The lady who took the order said sure, will do. But I found all the items to be bland and not spicy to my taste. I had asked for hot sauce on the side which was not in the order (which I did not see till I got back to my room). The food itself was tolerable. I cannot say it was great, neither can I say it was not good. Would I order here again-- probably yes since the food was ok overall, but this restaurant would not be my first preference.

Best noodles sesame chicken in the city. I have eaten at Chinese restaurants all over and I return here every time as none of the others compare. Atmosphere is nothing special, bad lighting, booths, sometimes they are a little slow to refill the buffet entres but I will continue to frequent them because it is so good.

Dirty and yuck food. Not much more to say.

The lunch buffet is very cheap. There is a lot of variety. The dishes are very shrimp-centric, so if you are allergic or don't like shrimp, you want to order off of the menu. The fried rice made the meal enjoyable, as it was among the best that I have ever had. The tempura chicken pieces were good. There were about 7 entrees, but none of them were very memorable. I left feeling very full, but wanting more.

I read somewhere that this was the "new" location for Ling's, an old school Milwaukee Chinese restaurant so it had to be checked out. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place definitely had the aroma of a Chinese buffet. My wife and I passed on the buffet and ordered up some pork fried rice and crab rangoon. The woman working the counter appeared to be the only one on-staff and she promptly took care of our order. Just to confirm they were related to Ling's of years past, I asked the cashier if they were related to the old locations and she said they are the 3rd generation now as the others have retired. (Previous locations were in Pt. Loomis and on 24th and Forest Home) Long ago the PFR would have been ordered doused with gravy. We passed on that extra after seeing what appeared to be a gallon or more coagulating on the buffet line. The PFR was hot, and the quality was decent. The crab rangoon was adequately fried and filled. For $11 it made a great lunch to share, with plenty leftover for a future lunch.

Got carryout from this place. Fried rice is very dark in color and despite that, lacked flavor. Lo mein noodles look like linguine and also were odd in color. Veggies in vegetable delight were overcooked, wonton soup was bland and wontons were not filled with anything.

We left all the food on the table and walked out. Better to start over at another restaurant. The food looked like it was all puddled in Vasoline and the taste was similar. I hope they read this. Little attention paid to the buffet table even though it's next to the register and kitchen. Empty bins and skimmed over food. No imagination or attention to the food buffet and boring handful of choices. Lack of flavor or odd flavor for everything we tasted. Even the hot tea.

I would like to start out by saying its hard for me to give them a 3, but the price and mix match hits and misses in food are what got it down from a 4. It has 4 quality foods if done right, but it depends who is cooking I guess. I like the food however. Courteous staff, but small place and pretty badly lit, but that is almost to be expected its not the ritz. They have a full menu and they make the food in pretty good time, but like I said I'd like more consistent cooking quality. I have tried the rice, and 3 or so chicken dishes, fried and non. The fried meats are more hit an miss if they are dry or cooked too long the meat dries in the breading. Sometimes its awesome though, probably if you order during peak times. Egg rolls, rice, the easy stuff is good and you can order out. They operate as a family business and they value a customer. Nice family. Give it a try, and rate it yourself since I haven't been there in a year or so.

A good bargain for a tasty buffet, pleasant staff, prompt carry out.

The best chinese food I've EVER eaten, hands down. Buffet for lunch and dinner as well as take out. I cannot properly describe how good the food is. I could eat this food every day for a month straight and not become sick of it. If you can find it, try it!
