Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

If pizza is like sex... Lalli's will do. I would say 76 pepperonis out of a 100.

Downgrading from previous review based simply on the lack of quality control. The last two times I've ordered for pickup my order has been screwed up. The first time was a busy Friday night and someone else walked out the door with my pizza. Couldn't been easily prevented had the gal at the cash register verified the guy's phone number before he walked out. He came back a few minutes later and I told her there was no way I'm taking a pizza that some random dude had already taken home and opened. So they made a new one with no seeming sense of urgency as I waited another 20 minutes. I got a limp apology and a free bottle of soda (I don't drink soda, so hooray!). As I waited, another patron's order was messed up. We exchanged a couple of head shakes and eye rolls. The second screw up was recently on a slow evening. I was just about to walk out the door when I was called back and asked to hand over my pizzas. I did so and it was discovered that the pizzas I ordered were still waiting in the back. Disaster averted, but too close and too consistent for it to go unmentioned. Also, still cash only. Come on. Stick to Cranky Al's for pizza in Tosa. Better crust and they're at least friendly to their customers.

Lalli's is definitely in my Top 5 for Milwaukee pizza. If you have not yet ordered and live anywhere nearby, stop reading this review and focus on their menu instead. Prepare yourself for dinner now. Other things to know: **Toppings - simplicity defined. Do not expect fancy-dancy offerings. **Quoted pick-up times are often longer than actual. I like this, because it is less time I need to wait before ripping open the old-school paper bag and devouring everything in sight. **Cash only.

Had high expectations from previous reviews. We did not like the pizza and garlic bread at all. The sauce was like plain thick tomato paste, we asked for extra cheese, the cheese was very much lacking. The pepperoni and sausage were fine.
(2)George T.
Surprise! Tasty crisp pizza. I was expecting a soggy mess for onions/mushroom pizza this turned out well cooked with no floppy ness at the tip/center. Sauce is sweet. Great weather for eating outside on the Sidewalk patio. Most of the people were call in orders for pickup. They looked very busy that's always good. Food 4 Amb 3 Service 4 Location 4 Value 3 66/2014

Perfectly tasty dinner. We ordered and took home. Good thing we had cash! We will order again. We eat simply because we have young children. A 14" pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni fed the for of us well for a late night meal after the movies.

Great pizza, quality ingredients, but for some odd reason, every time I get a pizza there it is not cut all the way through so we have to cut it ourselves. Also they don't take credit cards and I usually don't carry cash so I don't eat there often. If it weren't for those two things I would give lalis four stars
(3)Mike G.
Excellent pizza! Very good crust, perfect thickness. Cooked perfectly. I wouldn't change a thing. Cash only
(5)Monica Y.
Great pizza! You will never go back to Hups after eating here. Make sure you get the thin crust. The sausage are amaze-balls, so get extra sausage on your pizza. Oh, they only accept cash here.

New to the area, wanted to try an old school pizzeria not a chain. In our experience the pizza rocked. Crust was great - cheese perfect and loved the paper pizza bag it came in. Garlic bread Rocked. Did not give them 5 stars cause it is cash only. I don't always have cash on me.

We were in the Milwaukee area just for one night. We were looking for something that wasn't fussy, tasted fresh and that we could bring back to the hotel. Pizza was at the top of our list. After looking at the reviews for this place we decided to try it. We called ahead for pick up. We got a Cheese and onion pizza. It was pretty good and ready in the time they gave us. I generally like my crust a little thinner than what was served, but there may have been a thinner crust option that escaped my notice. Toppings were good. Onions weren't "on top" of the cheese but under. I kinda like when the onions are "on top" and get slightly charred. They offer canned soda as well as liters and they have Sprecher root beer. Overall very delicious experience.

Dang that's good pizza. Kooky hours. Cash only. Delivery or Take Out. Everything that's good about pizzeria pizza. Cheesy, not too much sauce, great crust. A little pricier than your average national chain at $1 per topping, but tasty so possibly worth it? Served up in an old school paper pizza bag, just the way it should be.

A good pizza is so hard to find. Then to come across this gem in the neighborhood we live in now. Wow we are super happy.
(4)Allysha H.
Wow, wow this pizzeria is outa bounds. I cannot believe I have been settling on Domino's when this place was just down the street. Before I head into this, the place is cash-only which is slightly inconvenient, but much respected. Delivery or take out which is the only way I wanna eat my pizza anyways. Ok, the pizza: the crust is amazing, crispy at the edges, but nice and soft in the middle. Plus it is dusted with a great garlic seasoning. The cheese is OUTSTANDING and plenty was covered all over the pizza and sauce was light and tangy. The medium-sized pizza can easily feed two hungry 20 somethings and still have leftovers. Can't wait to be back!

I grew up in Chicago and have lived in Oregon twenty years. When return to visit family and friends I often fly into Milwaukee when touch ground one of the first things on my to do list is: get me some Lalli's pizza! I love the thin crust supreme with it's perfect ratio of cheese meat and veges and cracker crisp crust. This family ran business has an old school atmosphere in the kitchen and has lovingly passed on the art of za from one generation to the next.

Pretty damn good. 3.5 stars good. Debating your favorite pizza joint with your friends is a lot like picking your favorite pair of jeans. You might have a dozen different ones to choose from and they may all cut from the same cloth, but there is always that one pair that stands out. The one pair that you grab for every time they come out of the wash.. You still following me? Well, Lalli's is not my favorite pair. I'm a Ballestreri's on 68th guy and I probably always will be. Having said that, I would not kick Lalli's out of bed for leaving crumbs.. The pizza is good, really good and the cheesy garlic bread is full of greasy garlicky goodness. I wouldn't turn it down if someone offered it to me, but given the other choices in the Tosa area, I would not rush back. I would however, most certainly order me some if I were hanging out next door at Club Tap.
(3)Jen C.
Yum! Perfect medium thick crust, and delish italian sausage. Will def order again. Only wish they delivered!

I have passed this place many times doing errands and never stopped by to pick up a pizza. After work one day a couple months ago, me and few co-workers stopped by the tavern next door for a few after work drinks. Some of us were getting hungry and noticed someone from Lalli's walked a pizza over to 2 people sitting at the bar. The lady who delivered said if we came next door to place our order they'll gladly bring to us as well. Placed an order for a large with garlic bread and I gotta say I enjoyed every bite. I would definitely order from them in the future

Yummy pizza. This is my first time having Lalli's. My husband is from up here, but I'm not. Now I know why it was such a big deal to pick up Lalli's to go eat with grandma than to get a chain brand delivered. There were perfect amount of both the cheese and the sauce. We got pepperoni and it was perfect for my 5 year old - sometimes pepperoni from high end pizza can be too spicy.
(4)Erica R.
I'm no pizza aficionado, but Lalli's definitely stands their own ground. For those in the surrounding Tosa neighborhood they are also considered a God-send since they are one of the few establishments that deliver. Lalli's pizza is great. I don't know if I'd say it's the best pizza I've ever had ... but that not much coming from a girl who favors Whole Foods' pizza to all others. But their other dishes are pretty great. They have a variety of typical Italian-fare which surpassed my expectations. Plus, the service is always fast and friendly. I'd say try it out and see if it's up your alley. I know I'll be ordering from this little joint all winter long...
(4)Matt T.
Would have loved to try their pizza, problem is, I am a frequent traveler who does not carry a lot of cash. They will not deliver to your hotel room unless you pay with cash. Good for them...very inconvenient for me. I will call somebody else...
(2)Jon H.
For some reason, I'm just not a big fan of their pizza. It just isn't anything special and if I'm going to order pizza, I want it to be good. I can make my own for cheaper and make it taste better than Lalli's. Plus, the hired help just seems unprofessional at times. I'd go elsewhere.
(2)Leigh A.
Before I was forced to go gluten free, I ate a lot of regular pizza. Lalli's was one of the pizza places I frequented. i used to order cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion. I loved the hand tossed crust. The sauce was tasty and plentiful. The toppings were generous. The italian sausage was actually good and not full of gristle. I always ordered the garlic brush on the crust (free) - SUPER DELISH! I could not wait to get home and stuff my face with that pizza. I say try Lalli's pizza at least once in your life.
(4)Sheshu P.
Expensive nothing special for high price.
(3)Scott C.
This is the best pizza place in Tosa and probably the whole Milwaukee area. The pizza is always good and it's ready in a timely matter. The only part that sucks is I had to go gluten free and like most pizza places they don't an option for that. They have no seating there, but you can grab a seat at the Club Tap next door and they'll deliver it to you.
(5)Debbie S.
My husband and I have enjoyed Lalli's Pizza for almost ten years now! Our regular is sausage and pepperoni pizza, well-done! Thanks, Lalli's for making us think about our hometown, Chicago!
(5)Kirk E.
Excellent crust and overall great pizza. We were not aware that this place is basically a carry-out and there is little to no seating available. The only seating is on the patio over the adjacent bar. If you're looking for some place to sit down and eat, probably isn't your best bet. If you're looking for a good pizza, you'll definitely find one here.

I'm going to start this review off talking about sausages. (Exciting, eh?) When I think sausage, I think about a long, juicy, cylindrical structure of tasty goodness. (get your mind out of the gutter) But those EYE-talian ones usually throw me for a loop and get my panties in a bunch. Don't get me wrong - I'm a fan of most sausages and it doesn't matter from what ethnicity (if you know what I mean.) Part of it may be the fact that they're not in the usual sausage form. To me, they're these wimpy little nuggets of meat that just never taste quite right. But for some strange reason, I actually LIKE them here! Lalli's got a good sausage, peeps! Who knew? And Lalli's gots its pizza down, fo sho. What I dislike about this joint is that seating is only outside (how am I supposed to enjoy this when it's 15 below??) It's cash only (how am I supposed to earn my Thank You points by using CASH?). I also don't enjoy ordering my pizza from a lil window that reminds me of the DMV. And I can't stand the flimsy-ass paper folder they put their pizzas in. (It's not conducive to take-out, because it gets my car seat greasy. What's wrong with those nice cardboard pizza boxes? They're still recyclable!) Overall, pretty golly dang good pizza. And apparently, it's so good that it's made me stop cussing...for now.

I used to be a Lalli's regular. That has ended tonight. Ordered a pizza at 5:55 PM. Was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Arrived there at 6:20. Was told they messed up orders and that it would be another 10-15 minutes. I came back 15 minutes later and still had to wait another 10 minutes. The finally brought my pizza out and as I was driving home they called saying they gave me the wrong pizza. I turned around, took the pizza back, got my money back and left Lalli's for my last time, without a pizza. I will miss it, but not worth that kind of headache; not to mention the annoyance of not taking credit cards there. To Balistreri's we go, I guess.

BEST PIZZA IN TOSA!! Moved to Wauwatosa about 5 years ago and Lalli's was conveniently located down the road. The crust is thin and the sauce has great flavor! They only accept cash but your pizza is always ready within 25-30 min for carry out!!
(5)Brandon B.
About a year ago, I moved from the city of pizza Chicago, with the thought.....where am I going to get a good pizza from! Lalli's is conveniently located to me in Tosa and provides a delicious thin/medium crust pizza. All around it is a great pizza, tasty crust, sauce and that Wisco cheese is delicious. Lalli's does not stop at pizza, they have a ton of sandwich selections and appetizers....the best we have had and can't resist when ordering is the eggplant parm sandwich. This place is the bomb- I love receiving my piping hot pizza in a white paper bag(old school)- very moderately priced...make sure to bring cash!
(5)Jennifer P.
Good quality pizza. If you like garlic, ask for the garlic brush. The smell will fill up your car on the way home. I have been here three times and, each time, I have had to conscientiously decide to stop eating because I WILL overeat.
(5)Ku M.
Nice spot in Wauwatosa for carry out pizza. They put just the right sauce and cheese for my taste. Cash only!
(4)Rich P.
This place makes some of the best pizza in town. its delivery or carry out only, and they only accept cash. I recommend their regular crust pizza- Its crispy, borderline thin, fluffly.... delectable. Lalli's pizzas come round per the usual but cut in squares- it gets a little messy when u get towards the center, but delicious nonetheless. They do a great job giving their pizzas a fluffy crust with a crispy base. mouthwatering pizza. Try a meatlovers pizza, you wont regret it.
(4)Matt W.
Great pizza and you can wait at Club Tap right next door, drinking Schlitz. My favorite pizza take out place in Tosa along with Balistreri's on 68th. Love it.
(4)Steveo H.
Great thin crust pizza, sauce has flavor and it even tastes good. Been ordering for years and won't go anywhere but Lalli's for Pizza in this area.
