Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Food was excellent unfortunately service is terrible waited 30 min for any service at the bar. Waitress acknowledge us but didn't even offer a cocktail or water.

Aka Cafe La Scala. It's a quiet scenic escape with quality food and bar service in the business district of downtown Milwaukee. I've had only friendly service here, the prices are reasonable, and the food is always very good. They have the best pizza you'll find in the downtown area. Visit in summer for a seat in the courtyard with some live classy dinner music. They also do events, bocce ball leagues, and other gatherings but I've only visited the public restaurant and bar. Hours here can be a bit quirky so check their schedule first to be sure they're open.

Really, a nice experience here. I hadn't been feeling very good the evening we ate here, but after a couple nibbles of the Margarita pizza, I started feeling much better. Very fresh, fragrant, delicious. Partner had the saltimbocca chicken and said it was fantastic. Dessert really got me though. I love spumoni and though this wasn't the best I've had, it was damn good. The real star was the tiramisu though. Just get it - you won't be disappointed. As an out-of-towner, this place definitely was off the beaten path. Close to all the Third Ward establishments, but kind of on the edge of things. We ended up walking through the conference center part of the facility and we weren't even sure there was a restaurant or if it was open. The persistence paid off though - it was a great find.

The ICC has fabulous food, fabulous service and the prices are right! I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience at the ICC and I have been a regular customer for 8 years. The pizza is one of my favorites as is the deep fried egg plant, mediterranean chicken sandwich, BLT and their fresh salads. Try it, you'll love it! I double dog dare ya...

I conquered the pizza on my first visit here. It's not like Chicago or New York style, it's real Italian pizza. Very different and so much better. Every ingredient is fresh and it all stands out with each bite. You must have sausage and pepperoni on any pie that you order. It goes perfectly with draft Peroni. Italian lemon ice for dessert and spumoni really hit the spot!
