Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Stopped in for lunch buffet. It was about 12:30, and everything looked like it was the same since it was put out at 11 am. The place was empty, bonus for me, because I enjoy Chinese buffets by myself to avoid any judgement I'm perceiving other diners may be placing on me. I squeezed my rotund frame into the booth, and set out for the selections. Standard faire, no surprises. Did the first plate, found the food to be questionable. Finished that, filled up a second plate to be sure. Yep. Mediocre. Soggy breading sitting in overly sweet sauce, greasy wings, stale rice. But my parents taught me to not waste food, and I blame them for my low self esteem and penchant to escape with copious amounts of bad food. I pondered this as I bit into what I thought was a crab Rangoon but was nothing more than a fancily folded fried wonton. Metaphor for my life. None of these containers at the buffet had more than a few helpings of food. Seems they know their customer base, and the frequency they dine there. Or perhaps it's a front for the Milwaukee Yakuza chapter. On my third plate of sub-par food, the lady came with my check. At this point everything came into focus. 5 bucks. Hells yea. I mean, if I'm stuffing my face with questionable food that is horrible for me to make the feelings go away like any good Wisconsinite, my two favorite things are solitude and cost-effectiveness. Probably won't be back anytime soon, there are plenty of places closer to home for me to slowly kill myself with corn syrup and starch. But if you like all you can eat without the perceived stress, this is the place for you. Also, egg rolls are really bad. Only ate 3 of those.

Absolute WORST food I've ever had at a restaurant. I swear I've never left any kind of review for any place I've ever been to. I literally created a yelp account just to leave this review because the food was that bad. I pass this place all the time and there are never any cars in the parking lot and when I went in to order around dinner time there was nobody eating in the restaurant at all. These people should be ashamed of themselves and just shut the place down. Just a horrible place with disgusting food. Don't ever go there. If I could rate it at -5 stars I would.

Service has always been good, but they're never challenged by being busy. I don't work far from here, so I've been here a few times, and I'm often the only one in here during what should be the peak lunch time. The main reason might be that the food isn't that good. Egg rolls, egg drop soup, Singapore noodles, sweet and sour or General Tso's chicken are all fair and edible but nothing to write home about. Well, I guess I just wrote in Yelp about it. I would say they are better than the other Americanized Cantonese places just south and east of here.

Worst Americanized chinese food ever!!! Egg drop soup tasted like a cup of salt was added and was even thin. Beef brocolli just tasted like thickened soy sauce, brocolli was over cooked! But had more than a few beef slices. Orange chicken took a bite and threw it away! You can't find the chicken even after you took out all the thick breaking and the sauce YUCK cornstarch or tapioca starch used to thicken the sauce is all you can taste! Will NEVEr take chance at this restaurant again next time we are back in Milwaukee! Just tried it because it was across pacific produce. My 8 yo daughter almost threw up after tasting the egg dropp soup. Wasted 20$ good thing we didn't end up at the hospital!

Great take out. Have been going there for about 15 yrs . Great prices , quick turn around time, for delicious Chinese food. The owners are wonderful friendly people. A nice part of our community.

I always give a restaurant a fair shot. Upon entering, we were the only patrons in the place on a Saturday evening (That's usually a bad omen). We ordered the Pork Egg Fu Young and Extra fine Pork Chop Suey. The egg drop soup was tasteless, as well as the chop suey. The egg fu young was old, dry and tasted terrible. I would never return, and my 7 year old agreed completely.

I wasn't sure if it would record a 0-star review. I brought my friends to House of Fong because of the interesting sounding name. Unfortunately, that was the only redeeming element of the business. First we looked at the buffet. Every container of food was covered with a glaze of something that reminded me of botchalism. We ran away from the buffet and ordered off the menu, hoping that the glaze was from food sitting out all day long. First the water. Brown. Really brown. It looked light a light tea. We refused to drink it. But ordered tea. 2nd the tea - looked like coffee. The only thing worse than the taste of the tea was the taste of the food. Food - I ordered General Tso's Chicken. One of my friends ordered it as well, and the other ordered vegetable fried rice. The rice appeared first. One bite and she was done. It was sour. Not sour as in a sweet/sour sauce, but sour as in it tasted like the vegetables were rotting before they were cooked. The General Tso's chicken sloshed when it was set on the table. Yep, sloshed. It had the consistency of watery soup. We both tried a single bite. This is the first time in my life, I've ever stood up and left a restaurant without eating. It was the most disgusting restaurant experience, by far, that I've ever had. If you eat here, you are probably taking your life into your hands.... or more accurately the hands of a cook, that means to kill you. If you are a member of the Wisconsin Board of Health, please check out House of Fong. If you are not, you'll have a better experience eating at the local port-a-potty.

I have been going here since I was a small child with my family and love it! I have even introduced my husband's family to it and they go without me now! I have had every food category throughout the years and have always been pleased. This is my favorite restaurant for egg drop soup and egg foo young (which both come included free with every dinner) and they have amazing crab rangoon!!! I don't remember how long it's been since their prices went up either, because they're really affordable! They are always so friendly too. I recommend this place, if you couldn't tell by now... For families or for dates because they are not usually that busy so if you are looking for a quiet/secluded atmosphere this would work. :o)

I have to say that the egg rolls and homemade sweet and sour sauce are among the best, as is, the fried rice. Crave worthy food and the family run business has fantastic service.

I have lived a block away from this place for 15 years. Tried it a long time ago and it was horrible. Today I called for a small container of rice. The guy who answered doesn't know how to work a phone as I had to call back. Then he said 15 min (isn't rice ready to go?) I pointed that our but he apparently doesn't speak English very well! Have someone answer your phone in America that speaks English as most likely an English speaking person is calling you! At any rate, the parking lot is never full and I have wondered how they have stayed in business this long. Maybe a front for something else? Too many other places close to here to waste your time with this dreck!
