The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Seriously? One gyro is plenty to feed 2 people....just be sure to order an extra pita. You'll get a little less meat with the gyro supreme. The kabobs are good too. The avegolemono soup has just the right amount of lemony tang, but you come here for the gyros! Order the platter for a truly delicious meal.....gyro, rice with Greek gravy, feta cheese, kalamata olives and a few pepperoncinis...yum, yum, yum! Get a slice of baklava if you've still got room, and make sure you have plenty of wet wipes on hand....you're in for a greasy and gooey good time! 29/2014/33

Great food and very low priced for the quality and quantity!! I stop here whenever I am in town!! Deceiving look from outside but worth the trip inside to eat or for take out!! The only feedback for them is to purchase better plasticware to eat with!!

If you're into quantity eating and quality means nothing, this is a place for you but not for me. I ordered the Gyro supreme and was supremely disappointed. Received a huge quantity of gyro meat that tasted nothing like my expectations and served cold. The vegetables were on the verge of un-serviceable, particularly the tomatoes. The pita bread had a slight freezer-burned taste. Other than that the lemonade was fine.

We were in the area and Jones-ing for some gyros. Friend and I split the gyros sandwich with fries, and got some extra pita. The food came up fast, it was tasty and nicely spiced, what more can you ask for from a joint like this. The gyros sandwich was enough for 2 to feel ... just full enough.

My fiance' and I love gyros, and we've tried most every gyro joint around the south-eastern Milwaukee area (Gyro Stand, Gyros West, Golden Gyros, Midwest Diner [known for their gyros], Genesis, and Omega). This, by FAR (we both agree) is the best place to get gyros in this area. Granted, I have not tried anything BUT the gyro plate, so if you're going for something Greek aside from the gyro's, my review won't help you. But this place has the best gyro's I've ever tasted. They give you a very generous helping of gyro meat (order an extra pita), and I love their rice pilaf that comes with the gyro plate. And their cucumber sauce....AMAZING! Most of the cucumber sauces I've had elsewhere have those chunks of cucumber in it, which I personally don't prefer, but their cucumber sauce is homemade and comes out of a squirt bottle. Absolutely love. The gyro plate I believe is ~$10-$11. Just the gyro itself is ~ $8.50-$9.00. Definitely recommend if you're in the Greenfield area. Or if not, it's worth the drive!

I've read a lot of good reviews of this place, so I grabbed a gyro sandwich to go the other day. Boy, was I disappointed. The portion size was great, as was the price. But the quality... poor. The only good things about this gyro were the pita and the onions. The meat was generic/low quality. I don't know how to describe the tomatoes, they just tasted weird and were an unusually dark and bright red. The tzatziki sauce was extremely salty. This was probably the worst gyro I've ever had, but maybe I went there on an "off" day. I love gyros! If this were the only place I could get a gyro, I would actually stop eating gyros. I might give them another shot, but I am highly discouraged.

I originally started eating at the newer Gyro Palace on 2nd & Walker a few years ago when I worked nearby. But since I'm no longer in that area very often, I decided to give this location on 27th Street a try. I had driven past it for years, even stopped next door for doughnuts a few times, but never put two and two together that this place might be connected to the one in Walker's Point. It turns out that they are separately owned by brothers. The good news is that although this place could use a facelift, the food is great and nearly identical to it's newer sibling! I have really come to love their chicken shish-ka-bob plate. It's highly seasoned grilled chicken breast, cut into bite sized chunks, served with a pita, lemon wedge, feta cheese, peperoncini, and greek olives. You have your choice of side, rice pilaf with a a tomato-y sauce, french fries, or greek salad. You can also request that they give you half and half of two different sides if you really want variety. I like to order extra feta cheese and crumble it into my rice. I then squeeze the lemon over the chicken and add a sprinkle of salt. When I said the chicken was highly seasoned, it is no joke. The greek spices used are flavorful and the chicken is tender. Warning: I would not eat this before a date or important meeting as you will reek of greek spices for the rest of the day. You will also likely "taste" it the rest of the day too. But it's soooo good that it's worth it! Everything arrives hot and the portions are huge. One entree could easily be shared by two people. The decor at the 27th street location could use some attention. The place looks tired and run down. There is blue everywhere. Blue booths, blue faux-finish paint on the walls. They must have made changes since the previous reviewer, because I didn't see any photos of food decorating the place. There are now large photos of Greece landscape and small photos of Greek people. Is this a restaurant or a travel agency? Also, the men's restroom was cold, dirty, and maybe even a bit frightening. Glad I only had to go #1 and could use paper towel to open the door handle. I'd give this place 5 stars for the food, but had to knock it down one for the atmosphere.

A Greek fast food restaurant. The portions are insane, you'll likely have leftovers. The service is extremely fast and the food is great. The gyros and shish kabob are served on a nice warm pita and homemade tzatiki sauce. There are a lot of fried appetizers and Greek/Mediterranean standards, such as, feta, olives, greek salad, spinach pie, hummus and homemade baklava.

This place has really gone downhill. We used to go there all the time as they had great gyros and spinach pie. The last few time we went there the food was very mediocre. The Spinach Pie was burnt and very mushy while the Gyros was bland. Very disappointing.

Place is ok, typical fast food joint. However the gyros are really good. It's so fast it's like they know your coming ur order is out before you even pay. Wow!!

The actual name for the place is Gyro Palace. There are two of them in Milwaukee (under different ownership) and this one is located nearby the airport. This is the place I visit every time I travel to Milwaukee. If you have any doubts, my friend in Los Angeles is another addict who would commute from Madison to Milwaukee just to eat there. I was introduced to the place by a friend who lives in the neighborhood. At first, I was judging the book by its cover. The restaurant is hard to identify and is located at the far end corner in a run down strip mall. You won't even see it if you were casually driving by on the street. Upon entering, it is a hole in the wall with old pictures of its food choices hanging along with a large menu above the counter. If you think of it, it has the make up of a fast food joint. You order first and then you find a seat in these white plastic In-N-Out chairs. Hmmm...not a good frame of reference to start out when you are thinking Greek food. When the food came, I was very pleased with the portion for the price. For less than $8, you can get a whole plate of kabobs with salad, pitas, and hummus. I've tried the chicken and the lamb kabobs and they are so juicy, tender, and tasty. I've always wondered what was in the marinate, and to date I have yet to find a Greek place that comes close to satisfying my taste buds. On a separate trip, I ordered the baklava, and they were the largest I've ever seen and it has just the right amount of honey, texture, and pistachio. I loved it so much that I bought some for my return trip to Los Angeles. As for the service, aside from the fast food set up, the owners were friendly and down to earth. They took time to take care of our leftovers and were responsive to our every need. It's too bad that the restaurant is never crowded and hasn't received the attention it deserves. On my return flight there was a delay on the runway due to bad weather. My friend and I were so nervous upon take off I told myself that if something were to happen I would rather die happy. My bright idea soon led me to reach for the last Baklava in my bag and I soon forgot the turbulence that everyone else on the flight endured.

Awesome Gyro's & great food

Our one and only stop for Gyro cravings. We get a supreme with extra pita and the two of us struggle to finish it all. I never moan about undercooked gyro meat here. I still can't find anyone who crisps it brown yet. A lost art I guess. Add a splash of Mountain Dew to the Pepsi and you have a drinkable version of Coke. Go ahead, have a drink refill on the house. The atmosphere is plain. 5 stars if they perk it up some.

Best gyro in Milwaukee... get the plate with extra veggies, sauce and pita with a side of rice pilaf. You will have 2 meals! Portions are very generous and pricing is very reasonable. Staff is quick and friendly.
