    Three kinds of salsa, including a chunky avocado crab salsa. Seafood empanadas and a bowl of tortilla soup before dinner even arrives. I had the tostadas dinner - 1 chicken, two chorizo. They came piled high with queso fresco, tomatos, lettuce and a dollop of crema. The rice was decent, the beans tasted a little off, but everything else was wonderful here. Hubby had chicken burrito dinner, and it came stuffed! Our bill with drinks, came to $22. You get your money worth here!

    Don't Order for Delivery (EVER) 0 stars for Delivery. Est Delivery 60-75 Min. Actual Delivery 120 Min. We ordered 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and a horchata drink. Called for status at 90 min, nobody there spoke English and she asked if I had anyone living here that spoke Spanish :(. She then asked what I ordered and said it was leaving currently. Delivery guy was nice. Food was 3.5 out of 5. It was luke warm by the time it arrived, the cheese on the appetizer was congealed already. The flavors in the food were decent though. I would try going to this location but I would never order delivery from here again.

    I have been wanting to try Fiesta Garibaldi ever since my Veracruzano cooks told me they had the best Mexican seafood in Milwaukee. I was afraid the location closest to our house, on Bluemound near the stadium, might tone down the spiciness for American palates, so we headed to 9th and Lincoln. I was more than impressed. First of all, free appetizers included chips and salsa with a side of marinated jalapenos, a small dish of wonderfully spicy ceviche and two seafood empanadas. Service was quite quick and good. I ordered the Mexican paella and my husband a mojarra moho de ajo - aka whitefish fried with lots of garlic. My paella - especially considering the $12.95 price tag - was divine. There was an entire crab, lots of shirmp, oysters, clams and a few other mysterious sea items mixed with a wonderfully flavored rice. My husband's fish, the entire thing, just as he likes it, was about as large as the plate. Covered in golden brown garlic and served with a side of rice and a cold crab salad, it was a great meal This location is small and crowded, but comfortable and festively decorated. I will most definitely back sometime soon to try their huge cocteles de camaron!

    I'm finally getting around to posting this. It's been awhile since we gave this place a try, but trying to get delivery from these guys was a fiasco. I'm new-ish to Yelp, but this was just so bad that it's worth revisiting just for posterity's sake. My girlfriend and I placed an order for delivery; she ordered the Combo Tierra Caliente (steak and quail, basically) and I ordered the Paella Mexicana de Mariscos. About a half an hour later, we received a call back: the restaurant was out of quail and wanted to substitute another portion of steak. That, in and of itself, is totally fine; quail is sort of an unusual ingredient. I mean, it was kinda the reason my girlfriend ordered that dish, but it's definitely not the end of the world. But there were two problems: (1). Calling us a half-an-hour after the order is placed implies that they had not even begun preparing it until that point. I'm not one to complain about a wait generally, but I expect you to at least have it *started* within a half an hour. (2) The English of the woman who called us was not great--this actually didn't bother me too much because the place is located in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood and a culture's food is often best prepared by it's members, but if you're the type of person that is easily frustrated by a language barrier, consider yourself warned. I got over that pretty quickly. My door rang about another half-hour later. An hour for delivery isn't too bad, so I was pleased. We took our food, paid the driver in cash, and sat down to eat. I remember that part clearly. "...The hell is this?," I asked. The driver was long gone. On my coffee table sat two styrofoam take out boxes. The food was neatly divided into a few compartments: one for rice, one for beans, one for guacamole. Noticeably absent was any steak in my girlfriend's box. Also absent was my paella. Thirty some dollars spent for some mashed avocado and about 50 cents worth of rice. We called the restaurant almost instantly. We were told the driver had grabbed the order before it was ready. We were told to hang tight, he'd be right back with the rest of our meal. There was no offer to refund a portion of what we had paid, but in fairness we didn't ask them to. I try to be understanding, and besides..I just wanted my food. 10 minutes went by, then 20, then 30. At this point, frankly, we were just pissed off. We called the restaurant, and there was no answer. We ended up driving down to the restaurant. What happened next is a little bit of a blur for me, honestly. We walked up to the woman wrapping silverware and explained the problem. There was a quick, confused conversation in Spanish that I didn't understand, and within minutes my girlfriend and I were sitting at a table with our dinners. All comped, of course. They made an attempt to fix the problem, but the damage was done, for me. My girlfriend and I ate quickly in the silent, empty restaurant. The two waitresses did their best to alternately avoid contact, and also checking in to see if there was anything we needed. The food itself was okay. It probably wasn't worth what they were asking for it--much of it tasted like it had been prepared from frozen--but it was edible. I don't want to elaborate, because clearly my experience before this biased me against the restaurant. With the attempts to fix the problems, I really wanted to walk away saying I liked the place, but that night was doomed from the start. All there's left to say is one word: FUBAR.

    My wife and I met the in laws to eat here on sunday 8-11-13. This was our first time eating here and the food is average at best. Not many Mexican seafood places here in Milwaukee or seafood places in general so it's hard to compare it to another place. Atmosphere: Very small place. Typical Mexican deco. They have a bar you can sit at or tables. There are a few Flat screens hanging and the place was clean. Service: They had 5 waitresses which is a lot for a small place. So we were attended well and the staff was friendly. She kept coming back to our table asking if we needed more drinks and brought out more chips and salsa. Great service. Food: Don't set your hopes high. I understand milwaukee is not by an ocean but all of the seafood had a frozen taste to it. They do cover everything with their special salsa to make it taste better. I ordered Caldo de Mariscos which is seafood soup. The soup itself tasted like vegetable soup with seafood it in. I have ate this soup many times before and never ate it with celery or peas. It had oysters and blue crab in it and they were cooked to death. The calamari was rubberish and the shrimp had no flavor. $16.99 for soup with frozen seafood out of a bag throw into a soup that tasted like canned vegetable soup? Too expensive. The main ingredient always found in this soup is potatoes and it contained none. My wife ordered paella($16.99) which is basically rice cooked with seafood. Normally any good paella needs to have the rice cooked with the seafood to add flavor to the rice. Instead the rice was made separate and they threw the seafood on top of it. Then threw the sauce on top of everything. Literally everyone's food had the same sauce poured on top. The seafood is not fresh and overcooked. I'm assuming they smother everything with sauce so it adds flavor to the dried up seafood. Service is excellent so I gave it one more star. We saw many single guys here and after tasting the food I think it's good for those who are "crudos" (hungover) I heard La Canoa up the street has fresh seafood so we are going there next and I'll write a review comparing the two places.

    Authentic Mexican Cuisine + Seafood = Muy Bueno! The menu at Fiesta Garibaldi is primarily seafood and it is delicious. When I eat Mexican food, I primarily eat chicken or beef rather than seafood. But this was a great opportunity to try seafood at a Mexican restaurant. I split an order of shrimp quesadilla appetizers and it was huge. We only ate one of the three because it was a meal in itself. In addition to the chips and salsa, ceviche and empanadas that are free, I was getting pretty full already. My girlfriend and I split oysters and chimichangas. The oysters had pico de gallo, avocado, hot sauce and a shrimp on top (no kidding, a shrimp on top). I like heat, but the hot sauce on the oysters was pushing my limits. The shrimp chimichangas were really tasty and authentic and I would get them again. All the dishes had big portion sizes which was a bonus. A lot of the other customers seemed to be locals and that's always a good sign for me. Our waitress was nice and helpful, and I would recommend this place for anyone that wants a truly authentic, Mexican meal.
