Disclaimer: The owner of Eat Cake is a friend of mine, we grew up together... that said, Eat Cake is pretty awesome. We've had about 4 or 5 cakes made there over the past few years (including a wedding cake) and they've all been delicious and beautiful. People are always amazed by them, and ask who made them. Debbie also let my daughter (who is interested in baking and cake decorating) spend the afternoon with her learning the trade. If you love cake, and want to support a great local business that cares about the community, I'd recommend Eat Cake.

After sampling many of the greater milwaukee area bakeries, EAT CAKE one that won the bid. Before we discuss the quality and skill level of the end product, the service need to be recognized. From the very call to set the appointment, life was made easier. We were provided with choice of drink will our tasting was being freshly prepared, The workspace is available by appointment only. This allowed Regina and I to have complee freedom over our conversation without concern for those who drop their eaves. Our first sampling the owner/baker/cake engineer had met our request for a not so frequented recipe (coka cola cake) with 5 additional flavor and 6 different types of filling and icing. after another scheduled sampling with the parents and by chance sampling at an open house, we decided to order the Coka-cola and red velvet cake for our wedding cake. There are plenty of options through the surrounding areas, but if you are looking for a enjoyable and stressfree option, EAT CAKE is the place for you. Pricing was straightforward and easy to understand, Options were clear, and flavor/combinations and creativity are endless at this establishment. Get your bakery needs met here.

We had Debbie make our cake for our wedding in September 2014. We really enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her to other brides or anyone looking for an amazing cake for any occasion. I should mention Debbie is the most talented cake artist I have ever met and had tons of photos of specialty cakes she had made. We actually felt bad we were just asking her for a basic 4 wedding cake. Debbie was very helpful with our planning. We decided for a 4 tiered cake with the additional cake being from a sheet cake ($1 cheaper per slice). We liked that the price per slice was the same whether we decided to do fruit fillings or something else. For the tasting, Debbie brought out freshly baked cupcakes for us to mix with different fillings and frostings. We mentioned we were interested in doing a cookies and cream filling and she went back to the kitchen and made us some! Once we decided to go with Debbie, we met with her second time to finalize details. She took notes on everything and had me e-mail her a picture of a cake I liked so she could zoom in with her ipad on the details. We were having a hard time picking out one of our layers of cake (we had multiple different layers of cake and couldn't decide between yellow or white cake for one of the layers) so she literally went to the kitchen and made us some more cupcakes! The day of the event the cake was delivered on time. It looked and tasted great! We were very happy :)

Debbie at Eat Cake in Milwaukee is Wonderful! She is very creative and allowed us to look through a number of books to find something that we wanted for our wedding. We decided to schedule an appointment initially because her fees were very affordable but were sold once we had the chance to sample her cake and frostings! We decided to book with Debbie before tasting anywhere else because we knew we had found what we wanted. Debbie is very easy going and keeps the stress level down. She was flexible with all of my last minute changes (I completely changed my mind and whole cake design two weeks prior) without a fuss! Her work is beautiful, it was EXACTLY what we wanted. I highly recommend working with her. She also coordinated everything with my venue so delivery and timing was rather stress free. Thanks Debbie! Rachel and Andy -- Chicago IL

Last night my fiancée and I went for a cake tasting. Debbie is fantastic. We had a hard time choosing the cake type and filling because every one we tasted was amazing. She presents everything in a very professional and personal manner. I felt very comfortable meeting with her. I could tell she really wanted to get to know us to make sure the cake we ordered was exactly what we wanted. Well, we ended up ordering a grooms cake and a normal wedding cake. The chocolate cake with peanut butter filling tastes like a reeses peanut butter cup (that's what we chose for the groom's cake). The lavender and white cakes also match well in a layered cake (that's what we chose for the normal wedding cake). I can't wait until our wedding this August. I know the final product is going to be worth every penny we spend. It is clear, when you order a cake from here you are going to get the highest quality cake in Milwaukee, as well as a piece of art. I know when I look back at my wedding photos I am going to be happy.

I love Debbie! And, I love cake! I love frosting! (I hate my gut!) If you're looking for a unique option to "grocery gross", and don't mind paying for art, you MUST have Debbie create something for you. Save the call. You should absolutely check out her groovy little space, on Vliet. (Call for hours, first!) She will, literally, make you ANYTHING you're perverseness can conjure. It's all scratch, and the buttercream frosting is there for you, in as many layers as you need! She can generally turn things round pretty quickly; but give her at least a couple of weeks. You can't rush art.

Debbie delivered beyond or wildest dreams when we asked for a cake that would look like a Chicago Transit Authority el train car. She was super easy to work with and the wedding cake not only looked amazing, but it tasted great too. She also made about 150 (or more?) cupcakes for us in various flavors that were really nice and tasty as well. Thank you Debbie for a job fantastically done! We'll be contacting you for all of our future cake needs in Milwaukee.

The best. From start to finish, Debbie made the entire wedding cake experience a pleasure and a breeze. Delicious, creative, affordable cake made by a friendly and talented lady. Struck gold with Eat Cake!

This bakery is a cult favorite of the locals. So far the owner has made the following cakes for me: A cake shaped like an octopus (with marbled raspberry filling for the brain - for that additional surprise!). A cake shaped like an ipod, a flourless chocolate cake that was rich and good it caused my gal pals to faint at the book club meeting. The cake is delicious! This is a must go to place for that special occasion creation. I think depending on her schedule ( I do believe she is a one-woman show), the turnaround on an order is about two weeks. This is not long to wait for a creation that will have your guests talking years afterwards. While you are waiting in the lobby - check out the owner's photo albums of her previous cake works. Wow! I hope this talented artist and baker never leaves!

On two very special occasions, I've been lucky enough to enjoy Eat Cake's delectable creations. For my brother's wedding, they ordered a beautiful cake from here. It was the most moist and delicious cake I've ever had. This cake has been my litmus test for all other wedding cakes. Nothing's compared to it since. It's the perfect cake. Recently, my brother and sister in law celebrated the first birthday of my nephews with a gorgeous Cookie Monster cake. The cake itself was beautiful and well decorated. The cake was as amazing and delicious that I remember that first bite from my brother's wedding. Eat Cake's wedding and special occasion cakes are simply wonderful, tasty, beautiful, and delicious.

Eat Cake has made our daughter's birthday cake for the past 3 years and Debbie has never disappointed. The cakes are always lovely and delicious. The cake is flavorful and the frosting is wonderful.
