It was a Cousins, and I've never had bad food from them. 5 stars there. The experience was mixed. I was the only customer in the store. A middle-aged guy, likely the business owner, took my order and payment. He then began having an argument with a younger employee in a foreign language while they were also both on the phone, presumably taking orders. The likely owner guy then went and made my sub. He didn't wash his hands (in fact, he was still on the phone while making my sandwich). This honestly doesn't bother me a huge amount, but it is really bad practice and would cause some people to lose it. The real kicker, though--he forgot the vegetable oil. Honestly, this really makes the sub for me. I was pretty bummed when I got back to work and had a dry sandwich. It's details like this you forget when you're on the phone.

THIS PLACE IS OPEN!!!! NOT CLOSED!!! 7/10 LOVE THE BREAD! The cheesy brocolli soup is good, the chicken chedder deluxe, cheesesteak, chicken salad, ham and cheese, meatball. They are ALL good!

Update: this location has upped its game in a serious way on the customer service tip! Not that it was ever "bad," but now it's on point. When it comes to a local-ish franchise-fast-chain sandwich option, Cousins is a solid bet.

Good food and friendly service. Plus they once let me use their bathroom without buying anything even though I was dressed like a piece of trash. Good people.

This is my favorite Cousins! They are friendly & quick. I recommend calling ahead, they make sure it's ready when you want it ready, not just ASAP. It seems family owned. They take a lot of pride in their work. You can tell that they are happy you stopped-in. I used to have a different review posted for these guys, but I've changed it because they changed. They keep getting better. I should really order something other than the Chicken Cheddar Deluxe (Hot), but it's so damned good & they make it just right. Good work Cousins on KK! You keep getting better & I keep getting hungry. See you soon! ---------------- This is the old review, just for giggles. ---------------- This place has to be family owned. Has to be. Good sandwiches. I get exactly the Cousins Sub I expect, every time. The woman that works here is great. She smiles. Looks me in the eye. Exchanges pleasantries. Great. Wonderful. The older man that works here, he's also a friendly dude. Mustachioed, if I recall. Bonus points for at least having the personality to leave me the impression of a mustache. Kudos. But then there's this kid. Lord. I mean. It's fine. Generation gaps, maybe. But get this: I walked in. I was the only dude in the joint. I was listening to a great podcast. I paused it and removed my ear buds because, you know, I'm not a monster. Sure, I could probably order without hearing. But it's rude. Even if the person is 10+ years younger than myself and doesn't care if we interact, he deserves a bit of common courtesy. Decency. Right? Some respect. This kid. I mean. I don't care. I really don't. I didn't say anything. I didn't care. But still. This goddamn kid. Somehow, some way, he was able to take my order while texting the entire time. He never looked at me once. He certainly had to repeat a few questions because he wasn't paying enough attention to remember the answer I just gave him. He typed on his phone with one hand while typing on the cash register screen with the other. He set down his phone to take my money, but continued to look at it throughout the transaction. I honestly don't think I've ever seen such mastery. Douchebaggery, but master douchebaggery all the same. He also sorta yelled at the lady making the sandwiches while he was talking on his phone. She was nice. What's with guys like that? Kid just seems like a bit of a fucker. I'm guessing he isn't fired because he's family. I'm guessing he doesn't give a shit for the same reasons. In the future, I'll definitely be calling ahead to place my order. It's the smarter thing to do, anyway. Faster, you know? But I also don't have to wonder about why that kid is such a dick for absolutely no reason. Win-Win.

Pride in ownership is evident here. It is clean, the staff is friendly. The food is tasty. I don't care for the building it's in... Shady, shady. But I go anyway because this cousins makes tasty subs. Cheers!
