Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Heard all about the mangonada, so I went to try it. It was fresh n delicious. U would enjoy it if u like the mexican mango lollipops. The lady at the front was very helpful and the menu was easy to understand as it was in Spanish n English so I knew what I was ordering. The cashier told me they were known for their grilled chicken so I tried the 2pc dark meat chicken. It was delicious! Perfectly grilled! The outside was crispy and the inside was tender and juicy. I usually won't eat the skin but I did this time! Also, it was supposed to come w 4 corn tortillas but I got 6! The cook also snuck in a small piece of chicken breast so i got to try the dark meat option and the white meat (actual white meat option includes the whole breast n a wing). Plus it came w a choice of 2 sides. I had the rice and the charro beans. They also had the choice of mac n cheese, fries and other stuff. The charro bean (if that's how u spell it) was a blend of beans and pork cuts in a very savory thick broth. I had something like this from Elrey but didn't like it. This was much better but a bit salty for my palate. PLUS, it was served w a grilled knob onion and jalapeño. To top it off, they have a salsa bar w at least 9 different salsas. They were not labeled but the cashier lady told me what each were. I filled 3 different little cups if different ones that I enjoyed with all my food. Did I mention that I also ordered tacos for the record? Haha! I did. I had to try them. I got the chorizo/potato and the goat meat taco. The chorizo didn't impress me much but the goat meat was melt in your mouth good! Perhaps it was a fattier cut used in my taco but it was tasty and tender. If u go, there are 2 lines-one side is for hot food and the other side is for sweets/ice cream treats. They have other mexican food items that r typical in any mexican food joint. What makes this place special is the combination of mexican food and cold treats! Looking forward to go there again-especially in the mid of winter when we can't grill outside. Chicken palace is here for the rescue! :D

Not my kinda place. I had the 2 piece chicken dinner w mashed potatos and mac and cheese as the sides. They give u a choice of dark or white meat, i chose white so they cut a chicken breast in half and considered that the 2 piece meal. The chicken was ok but nothing special, the sides were bland. It reminded me of cafeteria food. Looking at the menu, it appears to be primarily a mexican food restaurant that also sells chicken..kinda odd

I normally go here for mangonadas!! Delicious mango ice cream topped off with fresh mango, chamoy, and seasoning. Sometimes people add too much lime juice than necessary but for the most part, they are an amazingly tasty treat! Recently I ordered tacos, rice, and their grilled chicken. Also awesome!! They have about 10-15 sauces/salsa you can add onto your food. I asked which one was popular, the worker told me avocado jalapeño. It was soo good. Tacos tasted great without it but together, heaven in my mouth. The grilled chicken was also really good, juicy and perfectly seasoned.

Don't care for the food. This is my new place to get them mangonadas. They're seriously the most delicious things I've recently encountered.

This place sucks #$%$ big time. They claim to have the best roasted charcoal chicken , but it s actually bake chicken on the gas grill flamed! For 18 dlls really? little too pricy don t u think? When you can buy 3 whole chicken for same amount of dlls at pick N save! On top of that the lady owner has no professionalism about Custoner service. One time I called to place a take out Oder and she told me that I better pick it up cuz if I didn t she would call the police on me! Unbelievable !! When you re in restaurant business you can t talk to people like that !! In one word this place sucks #$%$ big time ! This people don t deserve to be in business !!

Dear god the paletas. Homemade -- I could see a woman chopping fruit as I ordered, and they have so many flavors! I can't speak to the chicken, but I'm ready to move in next door just for the Popsicles. Scrumptious. Worth the trip from anywhere!

I don't know where to begin! We'd placed an online order for a takeout. This place looks something exactly out of "Breaking Bad". My roommate and I both joked about it looking very similar to "Los Pollos Hermanos". A very strong smell of bleach didn't help our spirits either. There was absolutely no customers inside and saw two workers having a very heated discussion. And that's when I started saying my prayers. Definitely a place I wouldn't visit again. Food: The wings were soggy, so were the fries. The dressing was pathetic. Probably the only time in my life that I couldn't finish my share of food! Something died inside me when I had to throw away the wings/fries. Damn you Chicken Palace! Overall: Terrible place! Please avoid. Would make for an excellent Halloween scary-house though.

I'm being generous with three stars because I have yet to try the food. Came by for some ice cream cause we were in the area instead of going to Leon's. The menu for the ice cream is really confusing, until the cashier pointed to the take out menu which condensed everything instead of trying to read it all over their walls. None of the Popsicles are labeled and I asked for a strawberry Popsicle and got a strawberry cheesecake Popsicle... Not really my jam, but my boyfriend liked it and was able to finish it. Kind of wanted to try the mangonada but I'll save that for next time.
