Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

A quaint little family run restaurant in the heart of Fox Point. Calderone Club is a great place for casual Italian dining in their 75 seat dining room or late night drinks at their 5 seat fully stocked micro bar. They offer 4 different beers on tap as well as bottled beers, mixed drinks, wine & of course Limoncello shots. The cordial staff is always very attentive, friendly & expedient. You will usually find the owner ( Frank ) tending bar & delegating activities to his staff. The food is delicious while the flavors & freshness are always consistent . The minestrone soup is over the top, both fresh & tasty. Great pasta dishes too while the pizza is the best to be had in the Northshore area! I generally prefer thick pizza crust, but the thin crust here is absolutely outstanding. Their fried eggplant is phenomenal. Never greasy, no bitter peels, the coating is simply light & crispy. Dine alfresco if weather permits, the patio is beautiful!

We love this restaurant! Cozy, with delectable food--you can't go wrong here! They have the best eggplant with generous portions! Pizzas are thin crust, just the right amount of crispness. Peroni beer served at just the right temperature. They make you feel welcome and service is always excellent. Perfect for a date night or after work meal. Convenient parking in front of the restaurant.

I love this restaurant and the owners always make us feel feel like family. No matter what we order, it tastes homemade. The pizza is great and the appetizers are giant. Their main dishes are so wonderful- get the carbonara. :). We had our wedding rehearsal dinner with them and are celebrating our eight year anniversary again with them. You can't go wrong.

Great food, fast service, huge portions. 2 stars due to the callousness of the owner. Multiple elderly patrons in restaurant couldn't hear themselves over a dingle explosive infant who screamed for two hours. The parents couldn't care less. My father who brought his amplifier and hearing aids couldn't gave a conversation over the screams. The waitress saw this. The owner couldn't care less. After another elderly couple left he told the parents "I don't care , it's my restaurant" So if he wants to cater exclusively to screaming infants versus anyone else, so be it. Btw, a polite couple with their infant sitting next to us had their child under total control...

Lasagna is absolutely delicious. I live in foxpoint so i know this place well it's right next door to my condo and the food and service is awesome. They even delivered me a half gallon of Orange juice when i was sick.

Good neighborhood location for pizza. All of the food looks good, most of your Italian staples, pastas, calzones. I've only had the pizza. It's a very thin crispy crust. Sauce is sweet and flavorful. The pizza's are not greasy and aren't buried in cheese. Well worth a visit.

Service is just excellent. Loved the owners and how they interacted with customers. Pizza is always great!

I love the pizza. The margarita pizza is the best, most like an authentic Italian pizza. Pastas are just ok :( not very authentic Italian. The veal dishes are fantastic! They also have great fried eggplant. Good service. Nice atmosphere. They do a good job overall.

I have eaten at Calderone Club downtown several times and always enjoyed their food. Since I live only a few miles from the Glendale location, I have been meaning to try it for awhile. The salad was incredibly fresh and must have been picked out of the garden just a minute ago. I chose the house Italian dressing. It came in a sprinkler cruet that required shaking. It was disappointing. I think they would be well served to mix and pour it in the kitchen unless specifically requested otherwise. I have always enjoyed the dressing downtown. My salad came with warm, crusty Italian bread which was delicious. For my entree, I ordered the veal scallopini. Although the veal was the copped variety it was delicious and came loaded with many, many delicious mushrooms and a few onions for flavor. I ordered the red skinned italian potatoes as a side. They were quite tasty with fresh herbs. All in all it was a very good dinner. I do agree the price was steep for the location. Although I expect these prices in the downtown location, certainly rent in the strip plaza on Port Washington in Glendale should allow for reduced menu pricing! I paid $38 for the above plus 2 Sprecher tap beers. I would say that was about $10 too much. I would add this to the list of outstandig patios, however!

A quaint establishment with a friendly staff, though the food leaves something to be desired. Pizza lacks adequate amounts of cheese, with bordering slices containing only sauce and crust. Above-average prices do not accurately correlate with product.

I had a great experience here... My fiancé and I came here with another couple on a Friday night and it was beyond busy... However, the wait time was only 5 minutes and our waitress was very good. The food was DELICIOUS. We got cheesy bread and a large pepperoni pizza (the large is enormous...close to the size of the table and the 4 of us could only finish a little over half of it!) The price was reasonable...I believe it was around 20$ for the large and they also had a nice selection of beer and wine. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the manager (or who I assume to be the manager) was yelling at the staff in front of customers in a very demeaning way.

I'm quite surprised that there aren't more reviews for this Calderone Club on Yelp. I've come here a handful of times with family members over the years and I've never had a bad experience. The appetizers, pizza and pastas are all either in the delicious or reliable category. I'm Italian, so I think I know what I'm talking about here. On my last visit with a large group we ordered the following: fried eggplant, fried calamari, a large pizza, and three pasta dishes. Everything I tried was very, very tasty. I chose a "Create your own" pasta with gnocchi, tomato basil cream sauce and shrimp--it was AWESOME. I love a good gnocchi dish and this was certainly worth the trip. The pizza is also stellar. It's very similar to Maria's Pizza (of which I'm very partial). To those people who find this place boring or forgettable, I'm sorry you feel this way. Although there are details about the place that might be off putting (for our table of 5 with had one server and two busers who were a little intrusive), the food speaks for itself. Not the best Italian in the city, but lovely enough to have me back.

I agree with Nancy's review. Great food and personable, wonderful service. I'd give it another star if the price wasn't so high.

My family and I really like this place. The atmosphere is casual and the food is excellent. The prices tend to need a bit on the high side but we keep going back for great food. We have never had a poor meal and the staff is great
