Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. We tried this last night, as it caught our attention en route to another restaurant. The menu has good choices. But it's fairly simple. There could be a lot more items for a real experience. The food was good, but overshadowed by a few things. One - very harshly lit for an evening dinner. Felt more like a diner. Two - kitchen staff were playing dice at the bar with some of the patrons that were clearly friends. Three - those friends were raucous and banging the bar with their dice game. That would beg the question. Who runs this joint? I don't think they intended this to be the atmosphere of the restaurant. Would be better suited near a college campus.

The only reason two stars was the omelette was ok. Bacon was greasy and limp. Asked for hash browns well done and they came out raw. I asked the waitress to bring a plate of well done ones and she made me shovel the raw ones on an empty plate to be "replaced". 30 cents worth of potatoes and she thinks I'm trying to get one over on her. Everything here looks much better than it is. Do yourself a favor and stay away till you want a burger.

Went here today with 9 people for a work lunch. Arrived at about 12:00 without a reservation, so we were prepared for a wait. I had an immediate feeling that it would be a long lunch when we had to wait 5-10 minutes for them to figure out what to do with us. They asked us to split up tables, which we did, and they said they would keep an eye out for a larger table. About 5 minutes later, the table next to us opened up and we asked to combine. The employee said that he would do it "soon." While he continued to clean off a different table rather than assisting us, other people sat down there. He eventually asked them to move and we combined the tables. Next, we had to wait about 20 minutes to order our food. Then we waited. And waited. Eventually we asked when the food would be out because we had to get back to work. The server informed us that they wanted to bring out all the food at once and that it was almost done. We waited some more. Eventually they brought out food for 3 of us, then 1 more plate, then after about 5 minutes, 6 of the 9 of us had our food. We had to wait about 10 more minutes for 1 salad and 1 burger to come out. All that was left was my friend's grilled cheese. We probably waited another 5-10 minutes for that to finally come out. We immediately asked for the bill, and she told us she would do it as soon as she brought food out to 3 other tables. Just a note - there was a bartender standing watching the World Cup during this entire time who did nothing to assist. There were 2 other waitresses that never helped our waitress and did not seem to be in any sort of rush. There were a handful of other tables being waited on, but the restaurant was not full by any means. We asked to speak to the manager because many of the meals were incorrect and some people were charged for the wrong meals. The manager was initially apologetic, but then informed us that they are still doing a soft opening (they have only been open for 1 and 1/2 MONTHS) and that they have 20-30 take out and delivery orders. This was barely an apology and did not address the fact that we are downtown office employees who are clearly here over our lunch hour and only have 1 hour for lunch, not the full 2 hours during which they held us hostage. In the end, the burgers were pretty good, the salad was overpriced and mediocre at best. Try this place out if you have 2 hours for lunch; otherwise, stick to Elliot's in the Courthouse Cafeteria.

I went to the grand opening of B&B and I had just an okay experience. The manager came around to every table asked what they could do better and I honestly said my opinion. Since then, I have been here quite a few times and it improves each visit. Given I work in the same building on the 20th floor, I do eat here more often than some customers, but it is usually pretty good. Another major plus is that they deliver to my floor, which is very beneficial during my busy/limiting lunch hour. I highly recommend the Garden Fresh Omelette or the Mozzarella Sticks for an appetizer.

I read the positive and negative reviews before leaving our hotel this afternoon. We specifically wanted a late breakfast and they serve til 3 pm. Hostess explained there would be a 10 minute wait for a table and 20 minute wait for the freshly prepared food (it was 1 pm). Our wait was probably a few minutes shy of 10, totally acceptable if the food is worth it. The Hostess seemed to be hesitant of where to seat guests, so there were several empty tables available. Some other guest was telling us all horror stories as we waited in land, so the couple before us left. I'll make my own opinion, thank you. Food was great. My Biscuits and Gravy were honestly the best I've ever had. The sprinkle of paprika adds an interesting flavor. I'll come back as the food was worth the wait. Neighboring table had burgers with sweet potato fries that looked delicious!

This place was very close to our hotel, so we ate breakfast there two mornings in a row. I loved it. The menu wasn't very big, but it all looked really good. The first morning I got the granola blueberry crunch pancakes (and I am NOT a pancake person, I never order them). It was really good, the granola and blueberries were in the batter, and it had some greek yogurt on top that was perfect. I used a tiny bit of syrup after eating all the yogurt. It was a pretty big serving. I can eat, but this was too much for me. The second morning I had biscuits and gravy and loved them. I tend to order this after a night on the town, since it is nice and heavy and helps soak up the poison. This might have been the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had - I'd have it again right now if I could. The coffee was quite strong, but that is only a negative for some people (wimps like myself, apparently). Everyone that worked there was nice. The food seemed to take a long time, but that is the only bad thing I could say about the place.

My boyfriend and I stopped here before heading back home to Chicago. The food was delicious but the time it takes for it to be prepared is quite long. I appreciated the warnings given by the hostess and waitress (who was awesome by the way) but if this place wants to last--which I think it has great potential to do--they'll have to figure out a way to get the food out in much less time. It took about 35-40 minutes for our food to come and the place was not full.

BB was great. My friends and I came up from Chicago to watch the Bulls Bucks game We sat at the bar. Mary was our bar tender she was super friendly and awesome!! She promptly served us drinks. I ordered the walnut burger it was pretty good. The food was great but I would definitely come back for even if it's just a pre game drink.

I tried BB's about a week ago. At first I was a little concerned as we walked in at about 7:00 PM and we were the only customers (I usually take that as a warning sign). However, I must say I was impressed with the service and the food. I got a build your own burger piled high with toppings. It was fantastic. There are a few minor details, however, that we're not my favorite: -The build your own menu was a little limiting. I would have liked to see a couple of toppings in the freebies section. I also would have liked to have the option to really customize my burger. If they would have had an option for grilled pineapple on my burger, I would have paid extra for it. -The "house" stuff was pretty unoriginal. Fries are seasoned with lawry's. Would have liked to have seen a homemade seasoning. The "house ranch" was fine but ranch is ranch. They should have had a house BBQ sauce as you can get so many different flavors out of it. -If my entree was about $2 cheaper, I'm sure there would have been a crowd there. It's right near Marquette but I'm afraid it's just a bit out of a college students price range. Would have liked to see an atmosphere where we weren't the only customers, though it did result in excellent service. On the whole I would definitely go back, but I would not make it a regular place of mine.

Great service , I love all the staff . Very fun and loving . I highly recommend !!!! Every time I go they are very attentive and provide a great value not only in food but in hospitality!

Great place for downtown lunch if you are within walking distance. Lots of options for both vegetarians and gluten free. I had a nice omelette with spinach, feta and mushrooms, with a side of fruit. My friends had the walnut burgers and sweet potato fries and said they were very good. They have gluten free buns so next time I'll try a burger

I was hoping for a good experience here but my group of 5 was completely ignored from the moment we entered to the time we left. The restaurant wasn't even half full but two servers walked by our table multiple times without even stopping to greet us or tell us they'd be with us soon. A third simply stood there cleaning glasses while facing us without looking up once. After ten minutes we gave up, walking past all three and again receiving no notice. This place won't be considered for a second chance.

Ordered Delivery. Burger was ok... kind of bland. Don't order the burger delivery.. It was packaged in foil wrap and got very soggy. Had a chorizo hash which lacked much of any flavor. The wings (hot) were pretty good. No complaints there. Fries were similar to cardboard in texture and flavor. Overall everything was pretty bland and flavorless. Maybe good if you're drunk and can't taste much.

Had a great meal and our table of 30 was taken care of. Staff was great friendly and accommodating. Food was amazing And tasty!!! Bar was great and had a great bar tender. I will definitely come back. It's a great place for groups and even a family! I recommend this restaurant to all.

Went here for breakfast because it was it was close to our hotel and it got good reviews. After eating here I'm not so sure why. I agree with a previous yelper that a sign stating "seat yourself" or "please wait to be seated" would be a nice addition. Our hostess also advised that food would be a half hour wait which I found odd. Breakfast is usually the quickest meal to make and it wasn't busy. Another odd thing was the hostess' lack of knowing whether they had high chairs or not. This is almost restaurant 101. Kids come to eat. High chairs are a necessity. We got our high chair about 15 mins after we were seated. THE FOOD Here's the part everyone wants to know about. The food. It's ok. I wish I could say it was better but I would be doing you a disservice. It's not pig slop by any means but it's definitely not something I'll go home and wish I could come back to Milwaukee for. Before I get to what we had, Our hostess was pretty on the spot with the 30 min wait for food. My fiancé ordered the stuffed French toast. It's French toast smothered with Nutella, banana and candied walnuts. Oh yea, with syrup too. Whoa. Can you say "diabetes"? While I love Nutella, only order this if you have a serious sweet tooth. You've been warned. My fiancé's mother ordered the warriors feast or whatever it's called. Had a little bit of everything and was decent. Myself. I had the chicken and waffles. While not great, it wasn't bad. A waffle with 3 chicken strips similar to what you'd get at Chilis. I was satisfied with it. THE SERVICE Our waitress was nice enough and decently attentive. Overall this place might still be working out its kinks as I see it's fairly new. Hopefully they iron these out in the upcoming months because it looks nice inside and has plenty of potential.

The food is okay. Maybe the dish I got wasn't so special. Everyone seemed to like their meals. The only thing that is lacking or having some issues is the service. It took nearly an hour to get our food. We got eggs and pancakes. I think they're a newer restaurant but they need to work on the service or hiring more staff in the back!

My boyfriend and I went for brunch before he needed to leave for work. I love breakfast and he loves lunch, so I thought this particular place would be great for us. When we got there, they told us that it's a 25 minute wait from the time you order to when you get your food because they cook it fresh. Luckily, we came early so we still thought we were good, but when we ordered, they told us they don't start burgers until 11 (it was 10:40). While I understand that seems like a reasonable lunch time, I really wish they put that on the menu, because he wasn't even looking at breakfast until she said that. The menu gave no indication that you couldn't order burgers until 11. And with a 25 minute cook time, you can't eat your burger until 11:25. So we switched to breakfast, and it still took right about 25 minutes to cook. That does seem long to me, but at least we were warned. I had a Belgium Waffle, and my boyfriend had french toast. Both came with fruit, and both were very delicious. (My waffle was the shape of a flower--adorable!) So while the food was fantastic, I will say the servings were a little smaller than most places. The side of fruit was very small, and the waffle was much smaller than what I think of when I think "Belgium Waffle". The french toast seemed to be about one slice smaller than most places. The whole time, the hostesses seemed a little aloof, but our waitress was incredibly nice, kept us happy with drinks, etc. The place was a little noisy, but we got used to it. PS We saw a man get his burger right before we left, and it looked delicious and big! Pros were: delicious food, seated quickly, very very nice staff Cons were: long wait time for food, you can't order a burger before 11, small breakfast servings

Stopped in today and the restaurant was packed. The breakfast was WOW!! The restaurant was clean and service was awesome. Great place! Will return for sure.
(5)Crystal M.
Their food is generally extremely good. Their beer cheese is one of the best I've ever had. Their burgers were very good! Their giant pretzel was slightly under done, but not by enough to make the experience horrible.

Hey came from Chicago heard about BB's. Basically I tried the burger and bbq wing. Omg manager told me sweetbabay Rays bbq sauce was literally finger licking. Awesome service. Watched a bulls game. Very awesome experience fresh veggies and fresh fruit. Really enjoyed me self. Anytime I'm in town definently a stop in. Thanks BB staff ur awesome.
(5)Rose Marie M.
This place has great burgers that are WAY bigger than what most restaurants give you. The produce is SO FRESH, and they offer SPINACH!! I am a lettuce-hater, so having spinach as an option is super awesome (but most casual burger restaurants never have it). Plus they have sweet potato fries!! And fried egg and avocado as add-ons. This is my new go-to place for a burger. Oh yeahh, and they deliver after 3 so if you are lazy like me, you don't even have to drive. (order on grubhub)

Today was the 3rd time we have eaten here, and the food was good as usual (even though it was a bit cold from having to wait for other things to come-like utinsils and the toast was just soft bread). However, the service was just terrible. We waited forever just to get coffee refills. No spoons, ran out of milk- but we were charged for many other little things. A server once suggested I get honey in my coffee there, so it has been something I have been doing there. This time, there was a charge for each cup. That's fine if there is going to be a charge, you should just tell the customer if that is the case. After them not having milk for the coffee, since I can't drink creamer, it was disappointing that there were the additional $1.50 charges (which is outrageous) to our bill. Our server was new, so we were forgiving with a lot, but towards the end, it became very, very frustrating. And even more frustrating when the manager didn't come over at the end to address the bill. Each time we have been there, the manager has made her rounds to each table to see how things were- unfortunately that didn't happen today so we weren't able to address anything. It was a disappointing experience BBs- we usually look forward to coming! This experience was not exclusive to us as many other patrons today were adjusting their bills, had no food on the tables and frustrated looks on their faces. I really hate having to leave negative reviews, but since the manager didn't come by, we have to address it. We will return, but we really hope the service gets better. Today's trip left a sour taste. **update: within two hours I got extremely ill in the best buy bathroom. Come on BBs, I know you're better than this.**

I can't even review on the food because We've been waiting for our food for over 40minutes at this point. I don't know if there was a mix up of some sort or if they forgot. The waitress didn't even say anything until we called her over and asked about it. Even when we asked there was no apology. I'm pretty upset at the service and it's so far been a disappointing experience.

Wonderful food! Great medium rare burger with egg over easy. Super yummy. Great service. Not a romantic place but your tummy will be happy. Fully customizable burgers including pretzel bun, fried egg, all sorts of veggies and sauces. All round great place to eat!!
(5)Roberto V.
Loving the chicken tenders as a starter! As for an entree, the Turkey Burger is ridiculously good! The bun can't even contain it!
(5)K. M.
I had the walnut burger and I really liked it! The toppings were very fresh. The pretzel bun that I opted for was soft and flavorful. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I think their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they offer. I will be back to try their breakfast options.

Pretty dissapointing. Skip this place unless you've got no where to be. Went here on a Sunday at 10:30, I called ahead 15 minutes for a reservation figuring it'd be hoppin. The person I spoke to took my name and when we showed up, there was a "seat yourself" sign. If I didn't need a reservation why not tell me so? I didn't see a hostess so I flagged down one of the waitresses to let her know our party was there. We had to walk around the place to see what was in the back and if we could sit. The back portion of this restaurant is an arcade with high top tables - not the breakfast atmosphere. We saw some tables getting bussed up front so asked a waitress to swap - not a problem. Service here is very poor, but not for lack of effort. These poor waitresses (3 managing the whole place during a peak time) are not only fulfilling the waitress job, but they are also bussing tables. There's no hostess, so they are constantly interrupted for seating questions and everything inbetween. There's no visible manager walking around keeping tabs, so naturally, it's quite chaotic and if you don't ask your waitress for something when you see her, you won't be able to get her for quite some time - even then, we waited probably 10 minutes to have our order taken and I want to say 5-7 min after that for coffee (which is $2.50/cup!!). All in all this was dissapointing and we will not be returning. Great location, cool menu and logo and could really be a hit. However, the inside just screams confused designer - I don't know what's going on in there but it is definitely not a trendy breakfast place like all other signs would imply. Much work needed in regard to management - but menu is good and prices are fair. Until other changes are made it just is not worth the trip to try something new. We paid $47 with tip for 3 breakfasts and 3 coffees...that's kind of insane for eggs. Oh yeah and the chorizo hash was gross.

Im giving it 5 stars for these five reasons: 1. Customer service: One of the most important factors. My co-worker and I were immediatley greeted, seated and taken care of with a beverage. 2. The food: AMAZING. I built my own burger. Why not? The pretzel bun was fresh, soft and my burger was cooked to perfection, with melted provolone, avocado, jalapeño & a touch of salsa. I upgraded to the sweet potato waffle fries. Good call. They were the best. (Actually - the burger was the best) 3. I counted our waitress checking up on us 5 times within the hour we were there. She was super friendly, always smiling. And made sure we had everything we needed 4. Cleanliness & atmosphere. Very important in any restaurant. This place was very well designed, perfect lighting, music, textiles...a good place to sit and have a nice lunch conversation. DId i mention everything was sparkling clean? 5. Parking was everywhere. Accessible. They are right in the middle of downtown...you could even walk from your office. BB's...you've got a winner. Congrats :)
(5)Sami S.
Less than good experience. Ordered a burger and fries. The burger was way too overdone, had no flavor and had maybe half a teaspoon of sauce on it. The fries would have been okay if they were even slightly warmer than room temp.
(2)Diana C.
Let me preface this by saying there were only six of us in our party. Not at all a large group by any means. We came in during lunch hour on a random weekday when it was not super busy. We decided to stop in because of the overall good yelp reviews. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the service here. There was no wait to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly, but then waited an HOUR for our food. We kept trying to get our waitress' attention to ask about our food, but she completely avoided making eye contact with us. Thankfully another table noticed that this was going on, took pity on us, and informed the manager that we needed assistance. She came over but had no explanation and no apology for the long wait. The waitress finally came over, but she never once apologized for the fact that we were waiting so long. Our food finally came, and a half of the orders were wrong or had missing items. One of our party had to ask for the toppings that came with his burger. It was quite literally just the meat on a bun. How do you serve a specialty burger with no toppings and no condiments? The food had taken so long that some of our party had to rush. They had barely enjoyed any of their meal before they had to get their food boxed up and leave. The waitress never offered refills on anything either. The food was pretty decent, but the overall experience was really frustrating and service was definitely subpar. I have never experienced such a long wait for food and such unapologetic staff. Do not come here if you don't have at least a couple hours to burn. And definitely don't expect an apology when your food takes so long to hit the table that you don't even have time to enjoy your meal.
(1)Cathy D.
Food ok- service terrible. Great idea but when service is bad I don't go back. No second cup of coffee or tea without asking and WAITING. No jelly with toast.
(2)Daniel Dtm S.
Wow! Great place!! So happy we stopped in for late breakfast, served until 3pm which for us service industry late risers is awesome! Very clean place, decorated with modern "old diner" feeling. We enjoyed a Bloody Mary, eggs Benedict and hash-n-eggs. Satisfied with amount of food as well as reasonable prices. Service was superb!! Roberto was extremely accommodating, talkative, and knowledgable about his products. Giving this place a 10 and will definitely return! BB's knows what they are doing so hope it sticks around for a long time!!
(5)Darren S.
I went here for breakfast after my (disaster of a) hotel failed me. What a relief - this place was great! I was seated quickly. The place looked new and clean. The menu was filled with yummy sounding breakfast omelettes and other items. Service was prompt and with a smile. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Waitress checked in on me a couple times, as I would expect. Attentive. No complaints, good service, good food. I'd definitely come back here again. If I had to complain about something, it's that this place seems so new it was not listed anywhere. I could not find it on Google Maps or elsewhere.

UPDATE: I received a message directly from the manager at BB's and they offered a free meal to make up for the bad service. The meal was perfect and the service I received was great. She also followed up personally to make sure it went well and was very quick in her responses back to me. I appreciate the ownership of a mistake and hope they continue to get better by the day! I've eaten here three times now, so I think that I've given it enough of a shot to write this review. First off - the food is great. I've had breakfast twice (a regular eggs & bacon one and a biscuits and gravy one) both were fantastic, especially the sausage gravy - chunky sausage and great flavor! I had lunch there today, a turkey burger of the Greek variety. It's delicious and well worth the money. The problem, however is the service. The first time I called was the week they opened. I called 5-6 times during business hours to order breakfast and my phone call was never answered. I began to walk down the street to place the order (I work 5 blocks from there) and ended up just stopping at Starbucks halfway there. This was really frustrating. About a week later, I tried again - calling on my way to work so I could pick it up as I drove by. The person on the phone was hurried, rude, and single-syllable'd. I felt like a burden just calling in an order. When I picked it up, I waited about 10 minutes for them to get the food for me and ring out my order. This seems to be a trend. Today when I called in an order, it was the same burden-esque tone on the phone, and I was told if I wanted delivery it would be $3 more and almost an hour wait... when I asked how long if I pick it up, he said 15 minutes. So, I walked in the rain to get my food to avoid waiting for a long time. I was met with the same apathetic manners as was on the phone and when I placed my card on the table to pay my bill, the bartender walked past me 4-5 times and stood at the other end of the bar to talk to some friends instead, until I finally asked him to please swipe my card because I needed to get back to work. I was in the food industry for 10 years, I know how to give good service and I absolutely appreciate servers in the industry. I know it's stressful and I am generally very patient when I see a server is busy. This guy was just shootin' the breeze with friends while I waited... that I can't stand. If they could PLEASE up their game on customer service, I would be a loyal customer!! The food alone brings me back... but the service is so frustrating it makes me sincerely consider leaving this place out of my book.

This place is horrible. Was in town for Summerfest and was thinking we'd catch a "quick" breakfast. I had found some place I found on my TVFoodMaps app on my phone but my suggestion was trumped for this place. Ordered a standard all american breakfast. I asked for crispy bacon and hashbrowns. My friends ordered similar stuff. After waiting for over an hour, yes hour, the soggy hashbrowns and limp bacon arrived to my disappointment. I couldn't believe it. I thought after an hour they'd be burnt to a crisp. Everyone else's meal was equally sub-par. Oh well, I'm not going back.
(1)Julie L.
Food was ok but the service was bad. Our server was too busy sitting in the booth in front of us showing pictures to a group of guys. Then she went and gave them hats and tshirts and sat back down. Our bill was wrong as well. Won't be returning.
(1)Slim J.
We live and work downtown, and B-A-B is fine if you're in the vicinity of 7th and Wisconsin Ave. For customers, I'd recommend checking your order and bill for accuracy. Stick with tap beer and appetizers, and you should be satisfied. It's a nice enough interior with average food and friendly employees.
(2)Allen P.
I've stopped into BB's four times as I was near by on business and just needed a good breakfast to start day. I usually can't make it there before 11 A.M. so I find myself torn between breakfast and a good, old fashion, American burger. BB's leave's you with options. I'm usually a very decisive person, for some reason picking an item on their menu leaves me undecided. The waitress asked me what I would be having today and I quickly tell her I'm torn between a burger and fries or breakfast. She say's "can I surprise you?" Why not ? Right lets' see if she can tickle my fancy. She brings me the BB's Floating burger!! Absolutely amazing! A half pound burger with lettuce, tomato, raw onion with bacon and a fried egg!!! I loved it! So amazing, I will be back there again! Great job BB's

Great menu, food, service. We liked the breakfast so much we came back the next day.

Hidden gem! Makes sure you come in soon! Food is outstanding. The waitstaff is friendly helpful and attentive. The stuffed French toast was outstanding and the chorizo hash yummy!

First time in and the food was great. Plus the sexy and friendly bartender Mary was on point, she really took care of us.

First time here and the service is excellent! Very friendly staff...will definitely be coming back next time im in Milwaukee

We saw this place while driving around Milwaukee and decided we wanted to try it. We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away which was a plus. Our server was very nice and joked around with us which made us feel at home. We ordered our food, I got the granola and blueberry pancakes, and my fiancee got an omelet. The food took about 20-25 minutes to come out which is a lot longer than a normal breakfast place but I know that they make everything fresh and to order so we were patient. Ohhhh man, was it worth the wait! My pancakes were hot and fluffy, and the granola and blueberries in the batter was something different that you don't normally see. They were topped with vanilla greek yogurt and more blueberries, they also came with syrup but I didn't even use it because they were so good by themselves. My fiancee loved him omelet as well! The service was great, the food was great, and I can't wait to go back to try their burgers!

Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. There are more options for building an omelette at Perkins. I asked to get some egg whites scrambled on the side and they said they couldn't do it because the restaurant was a full house and there was a line out the door. How long does it take to separate 4 eggs? Under a minute easy! It was a bs excuse the cooks are just too lazy and not very professional. My omelette was bland overcooked and soaked in clarified butter. The chorizo hash was terrible it was cold and the potatoes were not crispy and they were still firm. My gf got a couple of over easy eggs and the whites were yellow be because of the copious amount of clarified butter. I instantly got a stomach ache after eating my food :( the only good part was the coffee and fruit cup. I will not be going back ever!

I was recently able to enjoy the breakfast and lunch items at BBs and would definitely recommend the food and atmosphere to Milwaukee residents and visitors! To begin, the owners, bartender and wait staff are attentive and friendly. The food was brought out quickly and with a smile. Our group decided to order and try a variety of items on the menu for brunch. The waffles were deliciously light with a little sweetness...I would have had 2 if I only could have found the rom. The creativity and uniqueness of the menu came out in the blueberry crunch pancakes, which had such a great fruity taste but also had a dollop of yogurt on top (perfect for those that like blueberries and greek yogurt). On the classic side, one of my favorite items was the BB benedict. I love a good eggs benedict and the hollandaise was so flavorful here. To top it off, their burgers are delicious, no matter your preference in adornments. Whether you have a healthy burger with cucumbers and lettuce, or a more spicy burger, you'll enjoy the lightly crispy and soft bun, the sauces, as well as the preparedness of the meat. I would definitely come back for those! The atmosphere is clean and modern with a welcoming vibe. They have comfortable seating, but do get very crowded quickly! Their recreational space near the back was well designed, with pool tables, games, and a high tech karaoke and photo machine. A great spot for a party! Enjoy!

Best burger in Milwaukee!!!! Had lunch at BB's last week and was blown away by the service. The burger was juicy and the fries were crisp and perfect. My friend had the sweet potato fries.......best waffle fries I've ever had!!

I went here with my husband and we both absolutely loved the food and service! We both ordered the BB's burger. It was a great tasting, filling burger. There are a lot of choices on the menu so you can get creative and make your own. The waitress was nice and kept checking in on us. I also liked the atmosphere. They have a whole area in the back with pool tables and music so it makes for a great hang out after a wonderful meal!

Grabbed a bite before an event at the Wisconsin Club. I built my own burger with a 1/2 pound Black Angus patty ($9) and added American cheese (no extra charge), Applewood smoked bacon ($1), a fried egg ($1) and peanut butter ($1) on a pretzel roll (no extra charge) with a side of the house BB Sauce ($1). If I had ordered the burger with the sauce, they would not have charged me, but on the side it comes in a small cup which holds more sauce than they would have applied on the burger, so I'm fine with it. Although I can't name another place that charges extra for the sauce on the side. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium, and it was. The burger was cooked over an open flame, and I could taste the char on the patty. My burger was very messy to eat, which I don't mind. The peanut butter was melting from the heat of the patty, so the bun was sliding around. The bacon was thick and crispy and generously applied. The egg was a perfect over medium, which is exactly the way I like my fried eggs. After I bit into the yolk, the burger was even messier to eat, but every bite of it was delicious! There were 6 in our group and we needed plenty of extra napkins. Our server made two trips bringing a few extra napkins on each trip, which is cool. No need to waste napkins. We used them all. The bathroom is a bit of a trek, but I was thankful for a soap dispenser that was full and an effective hand dryer. Our server was accommodating and patient with us, as we waited to order until the last guest in our group arrived. My only complaint is the choice of sides, which were regular fries, sweet potato waffle fries, or side salad. When I get a burger, I want fries, but I'm REALLY picky about fries. The burgers and sandwiches include a pickle spear and regular fries or side salad. I believe the sweet potato waffle fries were an upcharge. The fries were battered, which a lot of people like. I'm just not one of them. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked, but I didn't like them. I don't like the texture of battered fries, I didn't taste any seasoning on these. I don't feel like I'm eating fried potatoes with battered fries. I feel like I'm eating a product that may or may not be made with potatoes, like Pringles. Same with sweet potato waffle fries. I just want sliced sweet potato "sticks." Give them some seasoning. Keep it simple. Simple, seasoned waffle fries would have worked for me or simple seasoned sweet potato fries would have worked for me, just without the upcharge unless you're cutting those sweet potatoes fresh and in-house. I'll pay extra for those fries. I ordered a small side of cheese sauce ($1) for the fries because I knew I would need help getting past the texture. The cheese sauce disappointed. It looked like something from a jar of Tostitos cheese and salsa combination. I didn't like the taste nor the texture so barely touched it. Luckily, someone else in the group liked the fries and finished mine so they weren't thrown out. The breakfast menu looks good, so I plan to go back to try the house made corned beef hash and maybe the chorizo hash on another visit. I liked my burger and would be willing to get a burger again. I just might have to bring in a bag of chips and skip their sides. Adding potato salad or baked beans to the menu as options would help. Cutting their own potatoes in house would REALLY help. I hope to get breakfast there soon. Not sure when I'll get back for another burger.

After moving Joe all day, we were starving. It was around 1:00 and we wanted a burger. Of course this popped up in my yelp search, and I had heard good things, so we headed over. We were seated at a high top right by the window which was nice, there were a few other tables and then one big group of young girls - seemed like a soccer team. Our server came right over and asked what we wanted to drink. It is noted on the menu that pop only comes with one refill - so Joe was a little peeved that his was flat. Our server seemed to really push us along, he came over three different times asking if we were ready to order before he had even delivered my beer - we found this odd since the restaurant wasn't busy. Finally I just caved and said sure I'd figure it out. The boys both got Floating Burgers, medium and medium rare. I got a BYO beef patty with feta, spinach, tomato and kalamata olives. I opted to gorge and go for the french fries with cheesy dipping sauce. I kid you not, our meals came out in about 8 minutes. We were shocked. It was amazing that somehow with the tiny amount of time it took to cook the food, that all the burgers were overdone. The medium rare had a SLIGHT pink to it, and both mediums were extremely dried out and well done. Disappointing, and if we'd had the time we would have just sent them back. On top of them being dry, there was just not a lot of flavor in the meat at all. I will say that the toppings were generous. The fries were really good, but the cheesy dipping sauce was... weird. I asked him about it and he said it's simply a small container of their beer cheese soup. Well when I read the description for their "soup" it proudly boasted the main ingredient was VELVEETA. SERIOUSLY?!? I cannot imagine the brick that would form in the stomach of an unsuspecting soul to eat a bowl of Velveeta "soup". All in all this was fine. Service was pushy, food quality was sub par - but the fries were good, the toppings were ample and it was quick. I likely won't return.

Downtown dining BB's a great spot if you're on the west side of town. I've done the build your own a few times, it's similar to other burger places where you can pick your bun, protein and add-on's. I've gone with the turkey on pretzel and have not been disappointed, it's got great flavor to it. It's then served with a heaping portion of fries. I noticed on the menu you only get one refill, I used to be a big drinker of soda so that kinda sucks. It's a haul to walk here from the Third Ward but if you're by the museum or convention center it's just a couple blocks away and well worth a stop.

Stopped by this morning for breakfast. .. Got corned beef hash, or you can say that I played. .. " can you find the corned beef in the hash. " enough said. Will not be back.

After a cold walk with the wind whipping our faces, BB's is exactly what we needed. It is a cozy and modern space. They have an extensive breakfast menu, which is what we were there for. The service was prompt and friendly. Our food arrived not long after we ordered. My wife got the Warrior's Feast - 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, fruit and pancakes. I got the cinnamon french toast with a side of chorizo hash. We both loved our meals and left very full. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other options on the menu.

I have to update my review. My visit today was absolutely horrible. I get it, this is one of the few places that serves breakfast downtown. I knew it was going to be busy, but had no idea of what I was in for. There was nobody waiting.....yet we stood by the "please wait to be seated" table for about 5 minutes before someone noticed us. Then we proceeded 10 feet to the first table in front of us. I seriously thought about just going and sitting there, but I wanted to obey the signs, because I'm an honest person. (between my waitress and I...that makes one of us) We were given menus, ordered drinks, the usual....but it got weird right away. With menus sitting on our table, and nothing other than drinks....we were asked TWICE by the woman who seemed to be the manager browsing the guests how we were enjoying everything. I gave a real sarcastic "Well...the water is good" answer the first time, the 2nd time I just kind of picked up my menu and went back to reading. Oddly enough, she never came to see how we were doing when our food actually came. Now that I think of it, maybe she passed away while we were waiting for our food, it took. that. long. At one point, it was 40 minutes between when we ordered and when our food showed up. It probably ended up being closer to 50 minutes. I can understand if a place is busy, I can understand a lot...but when a waitress comes to your table, and says "Your food just came up, I'll be right back with it" ....and 15 minutes goes by and you still don't have food...you feel a bit lied to. The manager lady even came back after that, and at that point I just asked if we could just get our food to go.....and then she came back with our food. Amazing how that works huh? All in all, it was a terrible experience, and I won't be back. i'd rather go to George Webb where I know the service won't be great, but the cost will be less, and the food quality will be just as good.

The food was great but service is a hit or miss. My first server left me waiting to be seated while talking on the phone for 5 minutes?? Id like to think a customer waiting at the restaurant is more important than someone who is on the phone. Then she handed off duties to Sunny who became my main server. He was very nice, asked how I was doing and even replaced my fries when they were too salty free of charge. I am definitely going to ask for him the next time I come here.
(3)Heather M.
Bad first impression. Sign said "please wait to be seated" so we waited and waited while staff walked through out the restaurant looking at us, but continuing to not come and greet us. Finally, after 5 min, I went to ask if someone could take care of us. The waitress said, it's seat yourself. ?? We were confused and when we went to the 2 "open tables" they were very dirty. So we then had to ask someone to clean off the table. Service was good once we were seated. Food was alright, not the best. We are visiting from out of town, but don't think we will ever be back.

(I was inspired by Jason B.'s Milwaukee burger quest to try this newly opened restaurant.) I found a close by free-on-Saturdays streets parking spot less than a block away. We walked in and were confused. A simple sign stating "Wait to be Seated" or "Seat Yourself" would be helpful here. A busy waitress noticed us and seated us, warning that food would be a "half hour wait". Okay, a beer some conversation to pass the half hour no worries. We were seated in a booth and I like the half below street level large windows. Prime people watching. Tourists, joggers, bus riders, all streaming by on the sidewalk. The space is sleek, black, modern and feels sterile. A few large hand painted pieces of artwork would really soften the edges and bring some character. OUR WAITRESS WAS AMAZING. The most personable service we've received in a very long time. She was adorable. She noticed me taking a photo of my burger and that started a conversation about Yelp. She said she reads them for feedback. What a good kid! ORDERED: Riverwest Stein beer $4, 1/2 LB Angus Burger (Medium well, pretzel bun, cheddar, tomatoes, spinach, sriracha ketchup, avocado, bacon) If you're going to build your own burger, build it AWESOME. - $8 with $2 in upgrades for avocado and bacon respectively. Fries and pickle slice. ARRIVED: Within 10 minutes. Under promise and over deliver. TASTED: The fries were cooked correctly, crisp and golden brown. They lacked seasoning. (If there's a shortcoming theme it's BB's wants to play it safe). Garlic salt, rosemary, Old Bay - these fries could have a foodie touch to add flavor, set them apart and still not scare off unadventurous eaters. The BURGER: You eat with your eyes, see the photo I uploaded. Juicy burger, gooey melted cheddar, crisp bacon, fresh ripe avocado, fresh spinach and a foundation of a pretzel bun. It was a fantastic burger! Here are things that could be improved: Tomatoes were the 80% core - tasteless type, sriracha ketchup had no detectable heat (if a diner orders this they want spice or they would have stuck with ketchup), the pickle spear was sad and limp. Details. POST: Above average comfort food. Comfortable setting. Great service. Probability of return visit: 8.5/10

I remember coming to this location over a year ago for lunch, when it was a pizza place, mediocre at best. Not anymore though. Couldn't have been more impressed and pleased. Things I loved (in no particular order): - Great service. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very nice and friendly. Despite the restaurant being completely full, our orders came out within 10 minutes. - Huge menu. Given, I only had their signature burger, the "BBs Floating Burger", the variety on their menu is pretty great. And, they serve breakfast until 3pm, not sure of how many places nearby can make that claim. - Delicious food. The Floating Burger was great. Asked for it medium, got it medium. Great bacon, and a perfectly cooked egg atop of it. Even after cutting the burger in two, the egg was cooked just right so it didn't spill over everything and make a huge mess, but I still got the full experience of a burger with egg. Things I didn't love: - Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothin. It was great! Seriously, this is one of the best burgers I ever had. I was so pleased with it. I know that this storefront has been a problem location for businesses in the past, but I think if any business has potential here, this is definitely it. The two most important things for a restaurant to succeed are the food and the service, and right now, these guys have both.

I still remember the old Heineman's Restaurants that dotted the city. The one on Highway 100 and Burleigh is now a Pancake House and doing very well. The one 76th and Bluemound is now the fantastic Blues Egg (so fantastic that is was a 45 minute wait for a three top on a Thursday at 9:30am). And the one on 7th and Wisconsin has has many incarnations, the latest being the new Build-a-Breakfast Build-a-Burger (BB for short) restaurant. The menu is full of choices, both for breakfast and lunch. Our server explained that breakfast is served from 7am - 3pm and burgers from 10am - 10pm. A nice overlap of options that not enough places offer. As much as I love breakfast, a good turkey burger is hard to find in this town. Many are too dense and get extremely dry, some have too many fillers and fall apart. So BB's entry peaked my interest. It was the middle of the work day and I just didn't have the patience to build my own burger. Fortunately for us unimaginative slackers BB's has an entire list they've built for us. So I went with the Greek - sauteed (and well seasoned) onions, buttery sauteed mushrooms, a good amount of kalamata olives, and Wisconsin feta (that added the perfect level of salt) make for a darn good burger. A burger so good, the patty gets its own paragraph. This is a contender for best turkey burger in town. First it's primarily white turkey meat without being dry, there's was a bit of moisture through the entire burger. But the perfectly charred crust on the outside really sets it apart from others. The grill marks looked and tasted fantastic and certainly weren't the stamped on version of some fast food restaurants. These were genuine and great. The downside of the visit was the service. It wasn't bad, there just weren't enough servers to cover a full restaurant on a busy weekend over lunch service. Our server had a section of tables and was really hustling when a group of ten was seated in a back dining room. She was given that workload too which made it a challenge for her to get us in and out in an hour (a necessity for a downtown weekday lunch place) to no real fault of her own. The food is great, I'd certainly go back on that alone. And if management can work out staffing kinks they have the potential to be another great spot in an old Heineman's!

I took a bit of time for this review. We always look forward to new food joints in our 'hood. This one is right across the street. We stopped for lunch a few weeks ago. The bartender and manager were friendly and very prompt with service. The burger is a good burger. It's not too terribly huge like some, but it is a little bigger than others. They say it's an 8oz patty, but I think it may be higher fat content than other 1/2 lbs burgers, because the cooked patty is smaller than most MKE 1/2lb patties (This is not a bad thing!) It's flame grilled, and the taste of the grill is transferred to the patty quite nicely. The different bun options are varied, I wish they had just a regular old white bun, the pretzel bun will do just fine though. Know what kind of a burger you like, have the kitchen cook it for you, and you'll do just fine here.
(3)Joann W.
First thing I noticed about this place is that it's dirty. Food all over the floor the booths are already falling apart and have dirt marks all over them. Our server had food marks on him from top to bottom. It made me think if they can't even have the front clean what's going on in the kitchen ?! I ordered the chorizo hash and classic French toast. Chorizo was not to bad but was mushy and oily. Flavor was there but texture for being a hash was not how it's suppose to be. This just gave me an idea to make it at home. All it is, is chorizo mixed with regular hash browns, tomato and peppers. Pretty simple. My eggs were kind of dark not completely yellow which is sign that the grill or pan was not completely clean. Classic French toast was nice and crispy with a hint of cinnamon, but I couldn't get over from the French toast having black specs all over it. They really need to teach their cooks to properly clean while cooking because it's mixing in with the food and that's disgusting. Our server was friendly and attentive but overall I won't be back. I can't get over how dirty everything was.

This review isn't for a subsequent visit, but rather to reflect how much this company cares for their reputation with their clientele. Upon seeing my previous review, the management quickly contacted me offering to make things right. I'm very impressed whenever a business reaches out because of a mediocre review. It shows they're willing to improve. Kudos, BB!

Descriptive phrase: solid brunch, plenty of choices. BB's was packed on this Sunday morning for brunch, which is what Wisconsin Ave needs more of. It's got a great corner spot, with plenty of windows overlooking the boulevard. Decor is kind of new-Milwaukee diner; comfortable but not overpowering. It's bigger inside than it appears outside, and we sat at one of the high-tops near the first bar. I love breakfast places that offer milkshakes. Some mornings you just want one, ya know? Chocolate milkshake ($5) was delicious, and the perfect size for two to split. There's a variety of interesting choices on the menu, both for drinks and noms. I opted for the Chorizo Hash ($9.50): "chorizo hash, grilled onions, green peppers, & tomatoes. Topped with mozzarella cheese and two fried eggs." The dish itself was filling and well-executed. Perfectly good. However, the wait was much too long. We were in this diner, waiting for breakfast, for about an hour after ordering. The drinks alone took almost 30 minutes. I understand it was busy, but I never see waits like that for breakfast food. Not a knock on the service (though they too were harried), but just a bit disappointing. BB's is a quality fit for the area, and I hope it irons out the kitchen kinks and continues to do well.

Update time! I was really enthusiastic about this place when I last reviewed it, and I hadn't been back because I'm almost never downtown and I hadn't had a real chance to visit the fiancée at work for lunch again. It was a lot later in the day this time. We came in for a bite before an Admirals game. I tried one of the burgers along the side, this time with an egg and bacon and some other stuff on it (I forget the name, but in any case that semi-vegetarian thing I had talked about when I last reviewed this place obviously hasn't stuck!) The food was as excellent as before and the service was, again, great. There's something different about the staff here that I don't find often elsewhere. They're a lot more laid back than most places (they spend a lot of time chatting among themselves at the bar and the way they interact with customers seems a lot more conversational than when I normally go out to eat) while still being really efficient. I definitely recommend it. There are better burgers in town, of course, but as a laid back place to get a great bite to eat, this place is definitely doing a lot of things right.
(5)Zerenity W.
Amanda gave exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience! I will definitely be visiting again! The food was amazing as well! Loved that Pretzel bun!
(4)Rachel H.
My boyfriend and I always hit this spot when we are in town. The food is always tasty. And the servers are super nice. Sunny was our server this time and he was attentive and friendly. Also, portions are very generous. What's not to like!?!
(5)Ben B.
Horrible experience. The food was fine, but the staff can't handle a rush. Our party of 8 destroyed their kitchen and bar and threw everyone in the weeds. When the manager came over and said she knew that our food was taking too long (an hour), said she'd give 10% off for our time, and asked if we needed anything. We asked her for refills on our Bloody Maries. Here we sit 45 minutes later, no refills. You'd think she'd take care of the request as her server was extremely busy taking care of many other tables, but instead she merely related our order to him, even building on his work load. I've worked in the industry for many years, and understand what a good manager can do for a staff, they should certainly look into one. Every other table seemed to have a similar frustrating look on their faces as did ours. When we got the bill none of the 10% discounts were applied. I went looking for the manager but she had disappeared, probably to avoid confrontation from 8 angry patrons. Overall, I'd avoid this joint unless you've got hours to kill and enjoy 45 minute wait times for drinks.
(2)Louis T.
Excellent food but terrible service. It took a good 10 minutes for our waitress to even greet us and we never received our waters until after the food was out. We order a nachos appetizer, but instead it coming out first, it came out with our entrees. We ordered regular nachos, we were never asked what kind of meat we wanted on them, thinking we would just get nachos without any meat; we got nachos with ground beef and that added $2.00 to our bill. i really dont mind the $2.00, the point is that waitress never asked us and just decided on her own that we wanted ground beef. We also realized that our waitress was in the back more than being attentative to her tables.

The food and selection for breakfast and lunch or dinner is amazing. I had dinner there and went with a classic burger but it was prepared to perfection. Not only was their food good but their service was as well. The burger was so big a juicy, you definitely get your moneys worth!! I was happy that I chose it build a burger and will definitely come back next time I'm in town for breakfast. My waitress told me that they have Nutella stuffed french toast i gotta try it!! My waitress Nyree was attentive, prompt, and very knowledgeable about their menu!!

Last minute decision for lunch and boy am I glad I came here! Service and food were amazing!

Mmmmmm! Finally a place that can make a good tasting- good quality burger for a great price! From the the moment I walked in I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff, when I was seated the girl went threw the whole menu and broke down how the "build a burger" works. I went with the turkey burger with avocado and spinach! And WOW was I happy I did. The always fresh never frozen meat was so tasty! You can taste the freshness. My friend went with the traditional burger and it was just as amazing. She upgraded her fries to sweet Potato fries, which were the best I ever had. For sure going upgrading mine next time. All around it was a really cool atmosphere, with modern decor. They had pool tables and games in the back room, and a pretty good size bar. Five stars for from me! I can't wait to come back and try their breakfast food!
(5)Brittany T.
Wonderful experience. I am in town for a conference and staying at the Hilton. We were greeted at the door a few minutes before they even opened. Service was fast and friendly. My colectivo coffee and omelette were served piping hot. Taking the coffee in a to-go cup was the icing on the cake!
(5)Molly C.
A solid breakfast place that my mom and I hit up when we spent a weekend in Milwaukee. I got the build-a-burrito for breakfast and it was great, and she got the warrior's breakfast. Quick, attentive service and high-quality food. I love that they offer locally farmed eggs as well.

We ate here for a late lunch one day. Given that, there was an average number of people when we got there, but only a small handful by the time we left. We both got burgers. They have a number of set burgers you can order off the menu with various combinations of toppings. Alternatively, you can build your own burger, selecting different toppings and sauces and stuff. The selection of toppings/ingredients and sauces was good, better than what they have at Five Guys. I got a burger that was similar to one of the ones off their menu, but I subtracted a few things I didnt like and I got the 1/4 pound burger, as opposed to the half pounder straight off the menu. My girlfriend ordered a regular burger with minimal toppings. I got a side of regular fries and she got the sweet potato fries. My burger was good and I enjoyed it. She also liked her burger, but as far as the food was concerned, the highlight was her fries. So if you go, get the sweet potato fries. They are awesome! So the food was good, but I only give the place 2 stars. Why? The service was awful. It took a while for our waitress to take our order. It took a long time to get the food, especially considering the kitchen probably wasnt particularly busy at that point (3PM or so). I ordered a particular sauce on my burger, it did not come with any sauce. When I told the waitress that, she said, yes, it had the sauce. I had to physically show her it had no sauce. She then got me a thing of the sauce. Our waitress (I believe she was a hispanic woman on the heavy side) was quite bad. Every time she came to our table, she couldn't wait to get away. As such, she tried to leave our table in the middle of taking our order. She was clearly annoyed by having to deal with us. I can't imagine why - we quietly ate our food in peace, unlike the couple with the screaming kid a table or two away from us. At one point, she dropped off the bill. She must have checked on us every 2 minutes to see if we were ready to pay. It got really annoying, annoying to the point where I just got sick of it and decided we had to leave. So there you have it. The food was good, but our server was awful. Maybe it would have been better if we had a different server. If I was in the area, I would give the place another chance. With average service, I'd give this place 4 stars.

Pretty great. Only breakfast joint I could find around in Milwaukee, but well put together place. Went for breakfast. Plenty of coffee offered. Clean establishment. Decent eggs. Tip for restaurant... get smaller plates to make the food look more appetizing. My eggs felt so lonely without toast nearby. But they served me a great breakfast I would say change the name though... why "build-a-breakfast".... there was no menu or set up to construct your omelette... great food ... the name just doesn't match.
(5)Carm D.
Hmmm. I probably won't be returning here any time soon. It definitely wasn't awful, but in a city where brunch spots are abundant and amazing, it doesn't make sense to return to a place like this. I ordered a portobello sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. My lunch date and I split an order of mozzarella sticks before hand. The food tasted fine, just a really basic sandwich. My biggest problem came when the sandwich came with a mushroom patty a third of the size of the bun. It was so strange because the sandwich was served open face, so there was clearly a visible difference. Beyond that it was fine, the sweet potato fries were good. The service was really slow, especially for such a weird time (2pm) on a Monday with only a handful of other patrons. Also, because it was a few days before St. Patrick's Day, there was Irish music playing (adore) but it was so loud where we were sitting... kind of distracting. The possible manager/owner came over to chat with us and was totally grateful and wonderful and we had a nice little chat. He's the reason I didn't leave with a (metaphorical) sour taste in my mouth. PS: The mozz sticks are the wonton-esque kind instead of the breading kind. I know it can be polarizing. Just a heads up.

Great lunch experience. Have been wanting to check this place out, but was skeptical based on the neighborhood. I know, I know...but seriously, what is up with Wisconsin Ave west of the river? Anyhow, pleasantly surprised. Clean restaurant , great service and really tasty burger. They have a big menu, but I did what I was supposed to...built a burger. Nice that they offer a 1/4 pound burger, as I don't need to eat a side of beef! Went with the pretzel roll, which was really fresh, and added Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato, fresh as well. Fries were perfect as fries should be. Washed it all down with a Coke and life is good. I will be back as I am sitting at the bar and next time will add a beer, they have a good selection of local brews.

I spend a lot of time downtown, and was glad to see someone else take a stab at this location as a restaurant. The selections as far as food, tea and coffee are a nice option for Westown. Gluten free buns are available, and they also have walnut burgers, and turkey burgers, plus Rishi tea and Collectivo coffee. The menu also lists fresh squeezed O.J. The first time in I had a burger, since the meal is in the restaurant name. It was fine as far as burgers go, and Mr. R and I also enjoyed a beer with our burgers at the bar and found the bartender to be very friendly, talkative and prompt with service. On my second visit, a Sunday of which they had a very respectable breakfast crowd, I went for the build your own breakfast burrito. The base price of $8 included choice of tortilla, of which I chose tomato basil and three ingredients. I tried turkey bacon, feta and onion, and the eggs which are included as well are said to be local, cage-free cluckers. The burrito was of good size and was pretty darn good for my own creation. Bonus? I didn't realize it came with a fruit side, which was a nice mix of several fruits. Our waitress on this visit said it was her first day, and she did a great job. The one downer for our table of six was finding out that the cup of coffee only includes one free refill, but honestly I was fine with that. After someone refills my mug so many times and I keep sucking it down, at some point I always feel like there's a whole pot sloshing around in my stomach, which isn't a good feeling. Personally I have enjoyed the music both of those times. It's of the Sirius XM Spectrum variety, which is right up my alley. The staff most times was responsive when customers walked in, greeting and seating quickly, pulling tables together if need be. I also tried the steel cut oats once for breakfast and found them to be really chewy, but on future visits they were no longer on the menu. I think this restaurant has the potential to do well in this location, and I'm glad to have BB's as an option downtown.

Stopped here before a class at the Wisconsin center. I ordered the stuffed French toast. It was fantastic. The place was clean. Service was prompt and the value was great.

Very good service and the food was delicious. Has a lot of options for food especially when building your own.

The eggs and hash were mediocre (lacked salt and pepper in my opinion) but what made up for the visit was the stuffed french toast!! Stick Nutella into anything and I'll devour it!

I ordered a 1/4 cheeseburger with sauteed onions (which cost en entire extra dollar though I have no idea why it should matter since the raw one's are part of the .75 add-on 3 items option). I also ordered a side salad substitute for fries which cost me an additional $1.50. I asked for Ranch dressing. They didn't have any. It was overpriced and the food was merely acceptable.

I had the Bloody Mary to start off with, and I liked how the manager asked how spicy I wanted it. I'm just used to a place determining what is spicy. I ordered the Chorizo Hash, with two fried eggs (over easy) and and toast. I got the food in a good amount of time, but was surprised by the flavor. The hash was layered with two sliced of provolone cheese. I was expecting more of a chorizory flavor than potatoes when I first bit into the dish. The hash was bland even with the cheese and it was more mushy than I expected. I was surprised and disappointed. The look of the place was very modern and sleek. There were two big screen TVs, which was had a clear view for everyone. One little blemish was how no one greeted us to ask if it was just us or if we had a bigger group. My wife and I were confused as to if we should just sit down or wait to be seated. Overall, this place has only been open for two months and I enjoyed my overall experience. I would go back, but not order the chorizo hash.

Had really had high hopes for this restaurant as it took over a great location on Wisconsin Avenue within just a couple of blocks of Marquette University and the courthouse. Our waitress was a little bit too familiar and very clunky on the service-not wear very well-timed. On a Sunday morning, our breakfast was more like a night out at the bar with noisy drunk individuals on the pre-Packer game day 5 hours before. I ordered something simple: two poached eggs and two standard pieces of French toast. Not something that's rocket science with which to prepare but my eggs were overcooked and left in water plus I wasn't even supplied a spoon with which to eat them. And my French toast was under cooked and over cinnamon + powder sugar. Our waitress giggling when I told her about the eggs "oh I'll get you another one" after I repeatedly said I didn't care to have anymore. My husband's omelet was less than stellar but he consumed it anyway. His only complaints were that the fruit had clearly been frozen as it lacked any taste and good texture, and the french fries it clearly been fried with the onion rings. The only possible redeeming part of our meal was a fairly decent beer cheese soup which is not hard to make if you're from Wisconsin. Finally we noticed that the cleanliness of the restaurant was sorely lacking.

I tried BB's a few weeks ago for brunch. I'm a huge brunch lover so I naturally have big expectations... With that being said, I ordered a spicy bloody which was very tasty so I was rather pleased. Then I ordered the biscuits & gravy (one of my favorite items for brunch) It. Was. Phenomenal. I will most certainly be back!

My husband and I ate here this morning for breakfast. We were greatest by a group of staff waiting for guests to come in, they were pleasant. We really liked our waitress, I don't recall her name but she was from Naperville, IL (where we live). She was very bubbly and friendly. I only gave 4 stars because I felt that the food we ordered was just mediocre. There really wasn't anything spectacular about it. Go to this place for the pleasant service. :-)
