Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Best pizza in the city. Is there really more to say then that?

I was in Milwaukee on vacation an wanted a quick bite. Im from New York so im used to good pizza. First of all, the block that this place is on is beautiful. Great, authentic german food and bars everywhere with a lot of character. This place is fairly modern and has a good amount of seating. I had the baked potato slice. Delicious! The crust is thin and there's so much good cheese. This slice has cheddar, mozzarella with slices of scallion, this potato and bacon bits. Good sized slice. Also tried the regular slice. Its a little different than New York Pizza. Better cheese quality that was a little chewy but great taste. Not a lot of oregano in the sauce. I liked it. Great find. VERY impressed with it because im not in New York :) A fantastic 4 stars because its above average. Place says also they do sandwiches and salads. :)

I dont dislike brick 3 pizza. I've just had better. It has a great location on old world 3rd street. I was hungry one night I was staying at the Aloft hotel and wondered into Brick 3 after midnight or 1am. There were a few people in the establishment with me. Right away you can see that it is a pretty nice place. The wood flooring is excellent and the colors are inviting. The stainless steel decor runs throughout. They have the showcase so you can see some of the deserts that they sell. Now what i dont like is that they have the pizza sitting out... I could care less if it is under a warming lamp, they take your slice and throw it in the over which is in full view so it can be warm for you to eat. I understand this is New York Pizza. I have had New York Pizza in New York. I dont like it in Milwaukee or in New York. Part of the reason its made this way is that New Yorkers have little time to sit and wait for a pie to be cooked. This is not New York by the way and we Milwaukeans have time!. I always order cheese. The cheese pizza was a standard cheese pizza. Nothing more and nothing less. The crust was a little dry and gritty for my taste. Kinda like the pizza i had at transfer... just not that bad. The prices on the other pieces are really steep. I looked at the menu and saw a 25 dollar pizza before extra toppings and Wi sales tax? Would I stop in again? I doubt it.

If you're hungry for a quick slice of good pizza, this is a great place to go in Milwaukee. The restaurant is not very big - a couple of booths and counter seating - however it is clean and they are super efficient. The pizza is thin crust, already prepared and you just pick the one you want and they heat it up in the mega pizza ovens in just a few minutes. A good selection of soda and beer is available. I'm a big fan of the BBQ Chicken and find it hard to order anything else...but I would if I were you...along with a BBQ Chicken slice.
(4)Jason G.
Went there twice last night. Once for supper and then back at 2 am when we were done partying. It was amazing. Super thin crust and the toppings are soooo fresh and good. Handmade pizza dough in-house, hot and ready right when you walk in. They have 10-15 kinds of bottled beer as well. Definitely will go there again when we come back to Milwaukee.

Get an XL pizza, it's HUGE!!! I just love having obnoxiously large food/servings and Brick 3 does not disappoint. I was barley able to get the pizza box into the backseat of my car! The pizzas I have tried have all been fantastic!!! I've had the Caprese, Lasagna, and Chicken Parmigiana pizzas as well as the garlic bread and fried ravioli. Not only does Brick 3 have amazing pizzas, which are super fresh and incredibly delicious, the fried ravioli is the best!! I have always ordered take-out and my order is always correct and super hot. I highly recommend Brick 3, especially if you are entertaining guests. I look forward to visiting again!

The cops go here a lot so it must be good, right? The sausage and pepperoni pizza is my favorite. The slices of sausage are divine and perfectly spiced. I've also enjoyed the mostaccioli & meatball pizza. Pizza by the slice is always nice. I once strapped their large pizza on the back rack of my bike. Wide load for sure! I got some strange looks.

First, let me just apologize. I think I'm going to hurt the feelings of some of my fellow Yelpers. I came in here expecting a "NY" slice of pizza. You do know that NY stands for New York, right? Now, I'm not going to sit here and preach about the NYC. I've never lived there, but my cousin does live in Williamsburg (she moved there before it was cool) and I've visited about a handful of times in the past fifteen years and pizza was on the menu almost every other day in the weeks I've spent in NYC. I've had everything from the local chains in Manhattan to the smaller shops in BK and this really isn't the type of pizza I'm accustomed to eating there. I came in and got a slice of BBQ Chicken (since it won some kind of award, at least they said it did) and a slice of Pepperoni. It's not that it wasn't good, it just wasn't that great and it definitely wasn't "A New York slice". One main difference is the pliability of the slice. With a NY slice, I can usually fold it in a U-shape and eat it folded in half without the cheese sides touching each other. I tried this with both slices, and they might as well call this "LA style pizza" because the crust on both cracked like the San Andreas fault. It was tough and dry, and not dry in a good and crispy kind of way. The toppings were good, I was hoping for a little more stretch in the cheese though. The meat was very delicious, the chicken was tender and juicy instead of rubbery and dry like on other chicken pizzas. A note to pizza shops, coffee shops and other places with tip jars, I always tip when I see one, but I'll tip more if there is a funny or clever sign attached. This place has one of the best tip jars I've seen (see picture). We also had some cheese bread, which was decent, and my buddy had some garlic knots that he really enjoyed. All in all, good but not great pizza.

I went to Brick 3 regularly for a slice until I discovered Ian's Pizza nearby. Brick 3's slices are fine, but I'm not a fan of the crust. It's pretty bland. Cardboard, really. There's usually a decent variety of fun flavors such as BLT. BBQ Chicken and Mac 'n Cheese. I've tried quite a few and overall, they're good, just not that great. The staff I've encountered there has usually been ok, but disinterested in being there. Considering there's a pizza slice joint mere blocks away with great pizza and super friendly staff, you'll know where to find me.
(3)Ray D.
The pizza was great! Found it on yelp and tried it. Worth the drive into downtown. Heading to a baseball game now
(5)Rohan D.
The music students from MATC like to come here, it's cheap, fast and pretty tasty. They have many slices ready to go, ranging from the standard combinations to some pretty odd ones. They keep the pizzas out a bit past when they shouldn't be sold any more, but that's okay, you can look at them and see what's fresh and what isn't. Also, they will make one fresh for you pretty quickly, so I think this a good choice for lunch, walking distance from MATC and the north end of downtown.

Descriptive phrase: subpar NY-style pizza. Brick 3 somehow made me disappointed in a pizza experience, which seems impossible. I ordered takeout which was supposed to take 30 minutes. Luckily I came early because it took me almost that much time to find a parking spot. I understand that Old World 3rd St is a popular location, but if you're a takeout pizza place you should have some 5-minute parking or something right outside (or in back, which had plenty of space). My options were $15 next door, $5 down the street, or parking on the other side of the river. I chose the river. The inside looks like they turned a Jimmy Johns into a pizza place. No particular reason to stay and eat, but it wasn't uninviting. The pizzas they had for by-the-slice looked like they'd been sitting there for quite some time. My order, a 20-inch half Barbecue Chicken Bacon and half Baked Potato, was ready when I walked in. Into a box it went, and the employee drizzled some BBQ sauce on top of half of it. $27 (and a long, cold walk back to my car) later and I was on my way. This was giant pizza, with giant slices, but small on taste. Nowhere near enough sauce on either type of slice. Dry and a bit chewy, though you could fold it like NY style should be. Just not very good, especially considering both types were their "specialty" styles they advertise online, not my own concoction. And it was so thin that halfway through my first slice the entire pizza was cold. If you're willing to drop that kind of cash on a pizza, go to Transfer where it's quality. If you want interesting, fast, and tasty slices, head to Ian's. Brick 3 isn't worth your time. PS: All of their cookies come straight out of a Pick'N'Save box. They had them stacked in a bag on the counter when I came in.
(2)Brandon Y.
Pros: Free delivery Decent prices Sausage was not bad Cons: Crust tastes weird, hints of cinnamon Generic sauce, cheese, and pepperoni There is nothing special about this pizza. Go with Pizza Shuttle or Vedo's pizza instead, or maybe try to make your own.
(2)Jenny G.
We came here on a Saturday night and got a couple slices. It was quick and tasty, big slices!
(4)Pamela G.
Brick 3 is hands down my favorite pizza place in Milwaukee!! I'm originally from NYC, so when I heard this place was making NYC style pizza I knew I had to try it. It definitely is sooo close to that NYC pizza that everytime I am downtown, I always stop by and grab a box of pizza to go. They have so much different types of toppings and I've tried maybe 8 different specialities and they were all awesome. Definitely try this place out!
(5)J L.
Don't get thrown by the attitude behind the counter some days and simply enjoy a classic cheese pizza fresh from the oven. Take a look at the display pizzas first, you can usually tell how old they are by looking, if they don't look super fresh, just ask the counter staff, they'll generally tell you straight. The fresher the better, obviously, but the key is letting it cool down before your first bite. Brick 3 has the crust perfected! nice little bite back.
(5)Mollie F.
I never complain about a slice of pizza from Brick 3. After a long night out I am always a fan. They stay open tip early hours of the morning so you can grab a slice or a whole pizza after bar time. I really like the pizza sauce here. Pizzas are made fresh in front of your eyes. Must try!! Quick service too!!
(4)Bryan C.
Some of the best pizza in Milwaukee. I love the Chicken Parmesan Pizza and the Mostacholi and Meatball Pizza! Flat, New York style Pizza. Very good.
(5)Elliott D.
Tomato, basil and artichoke is super awesome!! They need to have that more by the slice! Staff is always friendly and the mozzarella sticks are the best around.
(5)Dan G.
Decent pizza slice shop. Taken for what it is, A OK. We had scrapped our plans for dinner and opted to grab something close to our hotel and watch the Hawks. While my picky eating little lady couldn't have been more disappointed with her pizza, I was just fine with the few slices that I got. Brick 3 reminds me of Ray's, Famous Original Ray's, or just about any by the slice pizzeria on the corners of Any Street and That Boulevard, NYC. If you don't know that drill, here we go...many pies are already made and waiting when you arrive. Consider your options and choose a few slices that will be reheated in the oven, which oddly is not made of Bricks. I loved that you could grab an actual slice and not that square cut bullshit. Also was pleased to see the cheese, pepper and garlic salt shakers all over to jazz up your pizza. I got the Caprese, bacon and bbq chicken and sausage and pepperoni. The chicken one was my favorite, Caprese place and pep and sausage show. Couldn't hold a candle to the pies we had at Wolf Peach the night before. Simple, average pizza that would just go great with some bar hopping in the neighborhood.
(3)David K.
I wish I could give Brick-3 more than 2 stars. I ordered the large pizza because I had a groupon and it was truly a LARGE pizza but it just didn't taste as nice as others I've had. I visited both Milwaukee Brick-3 establishments and both pizzas were a little disappointing. I'm sure there are others who would love this type of pizza but for me, I cannot justify giving more than 2 stars.
(2)Jay P.
This place blows for delivery! We waited over an hour and half for a cheese pizza and house salad. Absurd. The guy on the phone didn't tell us a wait time and when I called asking about the wait he was hardly helpful. The pizza isn't very good either (3/10). Don't order from here!

I was downtown for a work meeting and needed a quick place to stop for lunch. I stopped by two places that hadn't opened yet and a hotel that didn't have a restaurant. Frustration was about to set in, when I noticed Brick 3. I love NY Style Pizza, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly, I was a little taken aback by the way they display their Pizza, but I've eaten at a lot of buffets and never had a problem, so I knew it was OK. I ordered the Caprese. It had Fresh Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Tomatoes, Red Onions and Green Olives. My slice was served perfectly crisp out of the pizza oven, It looked beautiful and tasted great! My huge slice and large Mello Yello was only $5.00 plus tax. They are wheelchair accessible. space is a little tight, so the best seating option is the counter in front of the pizza display case. If I worked near here, I'd definitely be a regular!
(4)Juliann K.
This pizza is actually terrible. Maybe it's because I'm from chicago, or maybe it's because I have tastebuds. Either way, I've had frozen pizzas that tasted better. Lack of sauce and a soggy crust, along with a serving of disappointment made for an awful experience.
(1)Josh R.
Great pizza and great service. I was just in town on business and Brick 3 was recommended by the front desk clerk at my hotel. I couldn't have been more pleased. Nothing like a hot ny slice on a cold day. They have a great variety of pizzas and the guy at the counter was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. I travel quit a bit and it's refreshing to find a great ny slice outside of ny. I can't wait for my next visit.
(5)Curt R.
Went here before the Cher concert. Picked this beforehand due to the fact I wanted us to be in and out. Parking was a major hassle but that was my fault because I only had plastic. Once we got there it was packed with a line of about 20. It moved OK but we wanted to order a whole pie and still were directed to wait till we got to the cashier. On the way we found some slices and ordered 4 Sausage, Onion, Mushroom, a Salad and some drinks. I understand that everyone's a critic here but I got some nice hot tasty slices. They weren't perfect but they certainly did not suck in any way. The "Salad" could have been called "Lettuce" with a Tomato slice and about a half cup of raw onions that i had to ask for twice - Skip that. About $25 bucks for it all. In the half hour i was there it ranged from balls to the wall busy and completely dead twice so I think that just depends. Worth a try.
(4)Lisa A.
Pizza is pretty decent ...only thing is theyre not the really big fold over slices like u might expect from nyc pizza. Crust is pretty crispy, and I like a doughy (read: pizza shuttle-ish) crust. The service is fast -ish, and although there r tables and booths, it feels like more of a take out joint. They serve a good variety of beer too. I've never actually been here at bar time but I know its popular then. They do.offer whole pizza but most ppl go for the slices. We didn't try them but the cannol in the front case as u walked n looked pretty good
(3)Sadie T.
Pizza - sold by the slice. Delicious, affordable, generous portions Service - helpful, sassy. Were nice enough to allow us to "keep a tab" running to get to our $20 groupon amount Seating - very limited. Not good for groups more than 4. Garlic Bread - not worth the $ Other customers - were loud and unpleasant. I did not allow this to influence my rating. Brick3 has good pizza for a good price. Seating is limited. I am sure this is a great lunch or late night stop.
(3)Marcus J.
Good New York style pizza. I prefer Ian's better but still worth the cash
(3)G F.
Every stop I make in Milwaukee involves a visit to Brick 3. Even if the pizza was no good, the folks here are awesome...but the pizza IS good so win-win...especially that mac-and-cheese jump-off!
(5)Moby M.
Great pizza. Went here for lunch with some coworkers. It must be a great place for after bar late night.....

This review is for Brick 3's Milwaukee Ave location. This was our second experience with Brick 3. Previous experience with the Water St. location resulted in a screwed up take-out order that was made better by a discount on price and a free app. This occasion, however, was inexcusable: We purchased the "Goat Cheese Special" pie ($27 big ones) and a small side salad. By the time we got home (a ten minute car ride), the pizza was cold and dry. When we opened the box, a large FRUIT FLY came buzzing out...?!?!? Disgusting. When ordering, we were excited to try this pizza. The menu description read: goat cheese, portabella mushrooms, kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, arugula, asiago and mozzarella cheese, pesto sauce. Upon further examination of the pizza we received, we got: pesto (?), goat cheese PLUS an overkill, dry layer of mozz, GREEN OLIVES, nasty, mealy tomato slices, NO arugula, and portobellas that were on their last life (slimy and tasteless). It was by far the most disgusting pizza we have ever received. When I called to complain, the kid on duty informed me there was no manager on site because "you know, he works hard". Umm, what? How do you run an establishment with only ONE manager for TWO locations, neither of which he was present at (called the other location to check). I asked the S.O. if I should bother calling back the next day to demand our money back, but took into consideration the hassle of trying to get a logical explanation out of the stoner who answered the phone ("Uhhh, yeah. We're out of sundried tomatoes. And argula. And kalamata olives"...So you didn't think to inform me of this when I placed or picked up my order? And you think one would not notice these substitutions??). I instead decided to save the rage from the hungry bellies that night (we each had one slice and then trashed the rest) and YELP it instead. Oh, and the side salad? Wilted, brown lettuce thrown together with nothing more than the nasty tomatoes (pizza toppings on lettuce). NOT WORTH 4 BUCKS. Cleanliness, quality ingredients, and honesty seem to be an issue for this business. Consider yourself warned. We won't be back.

Friendly, fast, good, cheap. All words I'd use to describe Brick 3! It was within walking distance of my hotel (Hyatt), and I just wanted to grab something and eat in my room on a break from my workshop for work. This did the job! You can order by the slice, which works well for the business traveler. One slice is enough. They are huge, NY style. They warm them up on the spot but they seemed fresh to start. They also offer cheese sticks (like breadsticks) and garlic knots, both of which were yummy. The show stopper was the marinara that came with it to dip in. So good! I had to use it to dip my crust. You can also get salads, other appetizers like mozzarella sticks, calzones and more here. I liked it and it was so convenient that I came two days in a row. The second day, a St. Patty's Day Parade was going on right outside, so I sat and ate while I watched. Great way to get out of the hotel and enjoy a slice of 'za!
(4)BobbieJo K.
Delicious New York style pizza by the slice or pie. Fast friendly service. Able to watch sporting events.
(5)Jay S.
First off, the service was pretty lackluster. It wasn't terrible, but it was more a service with a shrug rather than service with a smile. I know it's late at night. I know that people can often be d-bags when drunk, but I was sober and my usual friendly self. You should be a bit more friendly there, Mr. Pizza-Slinger. Secondly, they have a bunch of different kinds of pizza here, some run-of-the-mill and some unusual but appetizing-looking. The slices are slightly overpriced. $4+ for a not huge piece pf pizza is too much to pay, I think, but I was hungry so I gave it a shot anyway. Three, the Meat Lover's Pizza was pretty tasty, but kinda dry. If it had a little more sauce it might be excellent, but I don't know if I plan to find out. As it was it had virtually no sauce, or maybe it had been sitting there long enough for the sauce to mostly evaporate. I'm not sure. The crust was good though, it was crunchy and chewy at the same time. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre experience and at least the pizza I had was pretty mediocre. Unlike Arnold, I probably won't be back.
(2)Lynn B.
If I had not liked the feta/spinach slice I ordered, it would be zero stars. We ordered mozz sticks and the sauce was like water. The garlic cheese bread had no garlic taste at all and most of the cheese was stuck to the aluminum foil. There was so much grease on the slice of cheese/pepperoni that you could actually wring it out. I will again say that the spinach/feta slice was very very good. So disappointed with the rest of the meal.
(2)Justin F.
Dear Times Square Bistro, I yearn for the days that you are open. On Sundays, I am left hopin' - that for some reason you door will fling wide and I can come inside. I would order very large pie, sit, eat, and say goodbye. Oh why aren't you open on Sundays? Did you know what I did this past Sunday because you were an absentee? I ordered delivery from Brick 3! The box was huge, the pizza was flat but it was cold and really not all that. How can they advertise a New York pie, when it is stale and dry? It is kind of funny, but also kind of dick, that they advertise a NY slice that tastes like a brick. For ten less dollars of mine, I could have ordered Papa John's and been fine. To make matters worse their za gave me a curse, this might make you cringe, but Montezuma got his revenge. DudewithaBadPizza

Brick 3's biggest selling point for me is its location. Situated on Old World 3rd Street and near the Bradley Center, it's definitely in a prime location for downtown traffic. As for the pizza itself, it's good but I'm not sure it's that unique compared to other Milwaukee options. The crust is usually my favorite part - chewy but not overwhelming. Nice variety of options, usually including some more unusual or gourmet combinations. Overall, I've generally experienced fast and friendly service here. A friend has recently sworn off it after a rude encounter with an anti-Brewers staff member (dude, you live in Milwaukee - don't wear your Cardinals-lovin' heart on your sleeve at work), so that was a bit of a turn off for me, even not having been there. Nevertheless, I primarily stop here when it's convenient. Based on the pricing, I'll choose cheaper but equally tasty options when given the option.
(3)Brad M.
Awesome place for pizza. I go each week. The prices are a bit high, but still worth it.
(5)Joshua P.
Its basic pizza. Nothing notable and nothing special. And since there so many good pizza options in Milwaukee like Classic Slice, Ian's, Pizzaman, and Via, maybe go check out one of those places.
(3)J K.
Brick 3 Pizza is near my work, which makes it convenient for a lunch hour. That's about the only positive I can come up with, especially after today. In total, I've been to Brick 3 about 4 times since they opened. Each time was progressively worse than the last. Bottom line, the customer service is just plain bad. There always seems to be 4 or 5 dudes working, yet they still can't get it together. I ordered two slices for lunch, and the cashier (Guy #1) asked if I wanted to do a combo meal instead, that included two slices, a garlic knot and a soda. I said sure, why not? The cashier took my $9, and then just stared at me. He didn't grab the soda, he didn't tell his co-worker to throw a garlic knot in the oven...he just stared. Finally, he spit out "that'll be right up". So I took a seat and waited, and one of the cooks (Guy #2) brought out the two slices. No soda, no garlic knot. So I said, "I ordered the #3 combo, which was supposed to come with a garlic knot and a soda." He replied, "Uhh, what?" I can understand that Guy #1 didn't relay anything to Guy #2...annoying, but no big deal...So I repeated again, and he threw a garlic knot in the oven and then looked in the direction of the soda machine..."What do you want?", he snarled. I said, "Diet Coke"...so he goes to the soda machine, pours the cup half full and then just leaves the cup sitting there and doesn't give it to me. Umm, thanks? He walks back to the oven, gets the garlic knot with some tongs and walks it out to the table (holding it in the tongs the entire way) and plops it on to my tray. Still no soda - since I'm obviously done talking to cheerful Guy #2, I walk up to Guy #1 and I say, can I get my soda? Guy #1: "What soda?" "The soda that I ordered with that #3 you told me about" Guy #1: "Is this for here, or to go?" "It's for here, that's my diet coke right there, the half full glass" Guy #1: (grabbing paper to go cup) "So diet coke to go?" Instead of a relaxing lunch, the utterly confused, rude and unenthused staff makes me want to bash my forehead against a wall. During a previous visit, a combo meal that offered a side caesar salad caused the same level of confusion. It's almost as if you have to be the one to go tell the cook if you order a side item. If the food was great, I'd deal...but the pizza comes out just barely warm and isn't all that, even if it was hot. I'm guessing this place makes the majority of their bank on downtown drunks at night who don't know any better. After today, I won't be back.
(1)Alison H.
Yikes...Probably better as a late night (after being out on 3rd) meal... Well...even so I would definitely pick a hot dog vendor as my late night selection over the pizza there...The crust was hard and the pizza seemed stale :/ ...
(2)Brian E.
In the downtown area and looking for a good quick pizza option? Brick 3 is the place for you. When thinking of pizza you need to break in down in categories. Brick 3 shouldn't be compared to restaurant style pizza (ie. Zaffiros) as it's a completely different breed. Brick 3 is a NY style pizzeria where you order by the slice or by whole pie (12 or 20). They have a variety of pizzas that can be available. Pizzas are seen in glass cases and you take your pick of what you want. They pop them in the oven and by the time you are done paying and grabbing a soda and napkins you are good to go. The price here is fair. You can get a combo of two large pieces, garlic knot and soda for about $9. Depending on how big you are this should be enough to leave you satisfied. I've had the baked potato, bbq chicken and the meat lovers. I've had better bbq chicken pizzas. Perhaps it was an off day? I'll definitely try it again. I really enjoy their baked potato. Make sure to bring an IV bag because you'll be thirsty from these slices! If you are in the area mix it up and give this place a try. For quick pizza it's a solid choice.

As a former NYC resident & a someone that lived near Ians pizza in Madison, I approve of Brick 3 Pizza. This is because Brick 3 combines two of my favorites concepts in pizza... a good, large, cheesey New York style slice + a few crazy combinations like Ians (see: Mac & Cheese pizza). Wandered over to this place for the first time last week after they followed me on Twitter :P. Went with the lunch special for $7 which is one huge slice of pizza, three cheese sticks with marinara sauce on the side, and a soda. (see pictures) For the slice, I had the Lasagna slice... a little too much meat on it. The entire first layer was meat, then sauce, then cheese, plus some ricotta on it. It could have had less meat and a bit more flavor, but overall it was very satisfied. LOVED the cheese breadsticks. Very greasy.... but worth every bite ;-) It was a lot of food for $7 - I sadly couldn't finish it! Highly recommended for a lunch or post-bar close stop.

Stopped here for a bite to eat after some bar hopping around 2AM. Great selection of pizza and drinks. The slices were huge! There was cheese, pepperoni, Mac & cheese, caprese, BBQ chicken. They also have drinks like Powerade and Monster in addition to water and soft drinks. The only downfall is that seating is limited. This definitely seems to be an after bar hotspot though due to it being open til 3AM on weekends.

Being a New Yorker I know good pizza. Brick 3 has it. as well as fast delivery, good prices, and the pizzas are huge. Also the only pizza joint in town I haave found that properly slices a pie like a pie and not into silly little squares.
(5)Christina R.
I'm a big fan of Brick 3! I always order a slice of the spinach feta pizza. SO GOOD!! They heat it up in the oven just the right amount and it's the perfect amount of crispiness. It's also a huge piece of pizza. The service is great. Their fast and friendly. My friends have had the pepperoni, ham and pineapple, and others. My sister ordered the mac and cheese pizza once and really liked it. It's kind of a faster restaurant, but it's nice that they have bottled beer. The cashier suggested a seasonal beer I had never had before, but really ended up liking. Overall, I love going there, especially at 2 am after bar close. It's the best!

While I can't speak for their takeout or pizza, my dining experience at Brick 3 Pizza left me wanting more... from somewhere else. My husband and I stopped in for a bite on a Wednesday night at just after 6pm. Old World 3rd was crazy busy as usual, but there was no one eating inside, so we worried they might be closed for some reason. A worker peeked out at us from the kitchen, but didn't greet us. He didn't say anything at all, actually. As we studied a menu, a man appeared carrying a load of pizza boxes and asked us what we wanted. I know it's a pizza joint, but we decided to skip the pizza since they had 9 pizzas and a platter of cheese bread sitting out on display, just hanging out at room temperature with nothing to keep it hot or cold. My first instinct was to leave, as this is a huge restaurant no-no, but we were hungry enough to let it slide and just order something else. I got a sandwich and my husband ordered a custom calzone. Looking at the drinks menu, we decided it would be more economical to order a 2-liter to share. Unfortunately, you can't order a 2-liter if you're going to be dining in. They're only to go. ((Also, if you're picky about your fountain soda, my regular coke tasted like diet.) Apparently, their kitchen staff needs to work on their timing. My sandwich arrived first, all by itself. We waited 5-10 minutes for my husband's calzone to arrive. The man that had taken our order brought it, and upon setting it down, directed my husband to the plastic cutlery hanging on the wall by the entrance... The food was o.k. Not terrible, but nothing that would bring us back. I couldn't stop looking at the old pizza on display. A few people came in just as we were finishing our food. They sat down, and hadn't been spoken to by the time we walked out the door. (I wonder if they're still waiting to be served) It seems to me that place needs a shot of passion and enthusiasm, but maybe their takeout pizza speaks louder than their other dine-in fare.

I will never come back again...the place was dirty, the food was under cooked, and I was amazingly underwhelmed! Thank you Brick 3 for my fill of paper consumed with my crappy calzone!
(1)Rufus J.
Went there for lunch today. Staff is moderately friendly. Pizza is good but not great. Cheese sticks are blow average and the dipping sauce lacks seasoning. I'm not marketing genius but Brick 3 is a terrible name for a pizza place. Pizza was good enough I'll return and try a salad as well. Location is pretty small though and tough in the winter cause it gets damn cold in there.
(3)Christina L.
I don't get to Brick 3 as often as I'd like, mostly because the bar scene surrounding it is not my scene. However, when I do I always say I'm going to try to get there more often. I've always received friendly/prompt service. This is the kind of place where you go in, point to the slice(s) you want and they throw it back in the oven to warm it up. I see nothing wrong with this if the pizza is fairly fresh. I almost always end up taking home a slice of mac&cheese or caprese.

I read here people are saying it's like new york style pizza, but I don't know if they actually have ever been to NY.I am sad to say I was disappointed with the flavor, the pricing, and my overall experience. After a night at the Pabst theater, we ordered a HALF CHEESE HALF PEPPERONI/SAUSAGE 14'' pie. I asked the guy on the phone my total in which we said $14.89...okay, I was honestly going to rant on how he over charged me and bla bla bla, but hey-everyone makes mistake, and the worker did feel bad, so I'll stop here. I pretty much expected the pizza to be exactly like a thin crust, cheesey gooey slice of pizza but instead it was like eating cheese on a piece of wet cardboard box. The sausage was good, and that's the only good thing I can say about that. I'm sure there's better pizza you can order around there at midnight.

I think there's an opiate of some kind in the crust. How else can a deep-dish pizza lover such as myself be so enamored with these big flat slices? Brick 3 Pizza is delicious. And I'm a biased pizza eater; I GREATLY prefer Chicago deep-dish style pizza. I usually ignore New York style pizza hard. One night during a bar crawl up & down Third St., some friends & I stopped in to Brick 3 after realizing our stomachs had been growling all night. I was intrigued at the idea of lasagna pizza, so I got a slice of that and a slice of stuffed pepperoni & sausage. The guys reheat the pizza in a brick oven, & hand it to you on a paper plate. Nothin' fancy, but good pizza doesn't require fancy. The pizza came hot and fresh tasting, & I never realized how much ricotta cheese absolutely belongs on pizza. The lasagna pizza was a big hit! I didn't even care that there wasn't any pepperoni on it. You can get a small cup of marinara sauce with your slice, but it tastes like sauce from a can. The pizza was so tasty I didn't even care. The stuffed pizza has a lovely crackly chewy-ness to it that surprised me at first bite. It makes my teeth happy. Once I discovered that there was ricotta inside, I knew I was in love. BONUS: They also sell a variety of bottled beer! Brands that even a beer snob such as myself couldn't turn up my nose at. Is there any better combination than pizza & beer? Not really. The slices are BIG, & they're usually so good I try to eat the whole thing. I never can, but the leftovers do reheat well. If you can, get your slice around 1:30am- not only do they have the best variety of fresh pies to choose from at that time, but the wild post-club crowds start to trickle in around that time. You're guaranteed a show of hilarious people watching.

Great NY style pizza.
(5)Katy G.
First, I didn't mind that the variety available late afternoon was pretty terrible, nothing but the basics. I didn't mind that all the pies looked quite sad, like they had been sitting out since the morning. I had a new Living Social coupon and was going to get a great deal. I didn't even mind the wait at the register while the guy tried to figure out what to do with said coupon (rang up the order four separate times, each with a different total.) What I do mind is that in the time it took to figure out the coupon and pay, our food had become burnt to a crisp, and as this was take-out, we didn't notice until we got home and opened the box of nasty burnt pizza. Gross. Lesson (finally) learned after too many second chances here. Sorry, Brick 3, I tried.
(1)Josh R.
Great pizza. We've had it for delivery and in the restaurant and were satisfied both times. The caesar salad is good too!
(4)Nadia G.
Thank you to whoever came up with the idea of putting macaroni and cheese on pizza! You are a genius! From my 5 years experience living in New York and my 27 year love of macaroni and cheese I can say with confidence that Brick 3 nails it with New York style pizza and their macaroni and cheese. The combination of these two is just amazing. My New York-er boyfriend was also happy with his pepperoni pizza. Next time I'm in Milwaukee, I'll be back!
(4)Ilene L.
The BBQ chicken pizza is okay - I eventually got to taste even after the bad experience I relate here. The service was terrible. I was waiting outside with my dogs, and the waiter decided to let 5 other customers be served first, when I went into the doorway to let him know that I was waiting outside for service because I had pets, he asked me to leave! I guess they don't really need people to eat their food.

I ordered Brick 3 pizza for a delivery on a Sunday. When they finally called to let me know that the pizza was there, they told me I had to come to the lobby to get my pizza (I live in a 12 story condominium)...kind of defeats the purpose of delivery right? Well I went down to get my pizza and I asked if this was a new policy and the delivery driver said no, just on Sundays...we can do twice deliveries in half the time. I thought to myself, well then I guess you get half the tip...but I digress. On top of having to go downstairs to get it, when I got the pizza home it was cold! For a MUCH better NY style pizza try Times Square Pizza in Walker's Point!
(1)Michael M.
it will surprise you that the business model they use is to make the pizza and re-heat it as you order it. the slice you get is really good. so I guess a whole pie is even better. I have been back a few times and always have a good ht and tasty slice. I have been disappointed in the pizza I have found here in Milwaukee. this is the pizza I thought I would find all over the city, and have only found a few.
(4)Tony S.
Finally some good, NY style pizza in Milwaukee! I moved here from the west coast last year but am originally form the east where NY pizza reigns supreme! I was disappointed to not find much good pizza here. But recently having Brick 3 I was happily surprised. Perfect crust, floppy and foldable slices, solid sauce and fresh toppings make this some of the best pie I've had recently. It meets of exceeds Ian's quality and taste. Also the people working (got delivery) were very nice and helpful. I think it was the same guy who delivered and took my order. Friendly and helped me out with a coupon question I had. I will be eating here again!
(5)Ryan K.
Pizza is very good. Best time is to get it around bar close because all their pizzas are fresh. I have gotten some slices that have been sitting out a while, and after its reheated it still isnt that good, and the crust got too hard. If you go here and get a fresh piece, you will love it. Their mac and cheese pizza is the best in the city
(4)Erika B.
I've had Brick 3 during lunch rush and via delivery, and both times I was thrilled. The staff was totally on their game and handled a huge lunch crowd efficiently and pleasantly. The pizza was nothing short of amazing and totally authentic. Delivery was prompt and free(!) with a minimum order. Plus, their website has online ordering. There's nothing I like better than the option of ordering delicious food when too tired or inebriated to use a phone. Awesome!

Summed up in 10 words or less. Fair priced late night NY style pizza in Milwaukee. What is the Experience? Fast. Over 90% of my trips occur after bar time and the other 10% are at lunch. I'm always in and out in about 4 minutes. Pizzas consist of: Everything. They have about 12 pre-made pizzas including the classics- meat lovers, sausage and pep, stuffed, veggie, margherita, to new favorites like meat stuffed, baked potato, mac and cheese, and lasagna. The one downside to the pizzas is that there is no thin/thinner crust option. Who Goes There? Everyone, its pizza. :-) Late night expect a college aged crowd and under 30 year old club goers. At lunch construction workers and business people. Why Do People Come? While it is all about the pizza, regulars know about the 12-inch hoagie rolled, fresh baked sandwiches for $6.95. These are easily $12 entree sandwiches at other restaurants. They take about 10 minutes because they are made to order. Another secret is that the pizza sauce they have is phenomenal. Its free to order a side of it with any slice. I highly suggest getting it and turning your crust into a bread stick perfect for dipping. Hopefully they bottle this stuff, I have had it over pasta to great delight. What Should I Expect? Expect an awkward line and few seats. The door is up front, but the line starts in the back of the very narrow building. You walk in the front door by the checkout, then down the skinny dining room possibly bumping into tons of other people eating and hanging out. This is where you find the end of the line. When there are dozens of late night eaters crammed in this space its not that comfortable. Expect to stand or take it 'to-go' during peak times. Seating is at a premium at the height of lunch, before a Bucks game, or late night. However, every slice comes in a hefty box and people tend to vacate seats fairly quickly. Expect a draft - as in a draft of cold Wisconsin air when the front door opens. There is no double door on the building so during the winter the whole place is filled with cold air every time the door opens.

This is based completely off of Brick 3's pizza by the slice food. SO you make pizza hours before hand and then just throw it in the oven to reheat it? Sounds like I could order good pizza and do that tomorrow for left overs. Take a page out of the Classic Slice book and make it fresh! It's would be worth the wait.
(2)Luke S.
Great pizza. Crispy thin crust. Tons of fresh ingredients. Love it! small whole in the wall.... but sure does make a great pizza... small menu, but what the do have they do right...

To start I've been here several times. Each visit has been slightly different in terms of timing and atmosphere. My most recent visit was for a Saturday dinner. The place was empty. This surprised me, as it always seems to be busy! Brick 3 is never the cleanest restaurant, but all that black certainly makes it look sleek. The booths in this place are super long, and make conversation easy, if they're empty and clean. And luckily, on this visit they were. I'm a big fan of the NY style pizza. And this is one of the only places in Milwaukee that does it justice. When you walk in it's like a food lottery, you never know what kinds they'll have available. I had the spinach and the mac & cheese pizza on this visit. The spinach was awesome. The mac & cheese was good, I'd never had mac & cheese pizza before, but it left me desiring one thing: pepper. Not red pepper, just regular pepper. And there was none to be found. That would be my only complaint about the pizza. I got lucky this time, two good pizzas, a booth, and blue lemonade. I'm a fan of Brick 3, and if you want NY style in mke, I highly recommend it!

Legit, favorite 'za place on town... Oh how I love you Brick3! (And not only on drunken Water St./Old World 3rd Street nights!) Your pizza is delectible as well as interestingly unique.
(5)Johnny M.
My first experience with Brick 3 was right after they had opened after a late night session with the boys on Old World Third Street, a New York slice of pizza really hit the spot. My friends went to hit one of the hot dog vendors but I found how quick and great this place is as I gave the valet my car ticket. The different pies were displayed behind the counter so I could make a quick choice. The staff behind the counter was so fast, I walked out the door with my slice at the same time the valet had pulled my car up. Anyone downtown late at night needs to stop in. The crust was great I loved sauce and the whole process was fast and efficient. I finally stopped in at lunch last week and found easy parking. I walked out with my slice in less than 5 minutes. I found the pizza to be as good as I thought after a night of adult beverages. I highly recommend a stop here. They have a great menu of pizza choices by the pie or slice. They deliver, cater and even offer curbside service for call in orders. The counter service is great and I think because of its size and layout the store has a great feel like you are in New York. pizzainmilwaukee.com

The place is fairly new, and it's my favourite pizza in Milwaukee already! Creative toppings, quick, pizza by the (generous) slice and just yum! Given how efficient the ordering process was, and the fact that they have a good variety of pizzas ready to go at any time, I can see this place becoming a serious downtown lunch-time hit. But also open late! Ahhh I am SO excited for a 2 AM pizza option in MKE!
(4)Gabrielle B.
Oh my gosh! I was so excited to see that there was a NY Style pizza place in Milwaukee, finally! If anyone has ever been to Ian's pizza in Madison, this place is almost exactly like it - food wise. They even have the mac n cheese pizza down to a T. Soooooo good, and now I don't have to crave for Ians in Madison. Very bad for me - I'm going to gain major poundage now.
(5)Michelle S.
This place is really good if you go at the right time of day (i.e. Saturday night or some other time it's really busy). But it is hit-or-miss other times. The first time I went here I was amazed to finally find great NY pizza in Milwaukee, but then the second time I was disappointed with a burnt crust. When I told them the crust was burnt, the employee told me that's how it's supposed to be made. Then after a little while I tried it again and the next few times were great sometimes and just okay other times. So, my advice is to go during their busy times. My favorite is the cheese pizza and the mac n cheese pizza is pretty good, too. I wish they had hot sauce here, I am sometimes tempted to bring my own in my purse. The Caesar salad here is fresh and rather large. We have gone here a couple of times just for salad.
(3)Scott O.
It's hard to find a good NY-style slice in a city that's crazy about the Zaffiro's-style cracker crust, but Brick 3 does a good job of it. I judge my pizza based on a plain cheese slice. Brick 3's cheese has a good snap to it, isn't too greasy or salty, and bakes to a nice golden color. The sauce is subtle and the crust is a good balance of soft and crisp. If you're looking to get your NY slice fix, Brick 3 is definitely worthy.

I'm an avid searcher for the best pizza in the area. This is one of my top favs in the Milwaukee area. Have yet to be seen in the building... I actually don't know where it is. However, first time I had it was in Park East Lofts sitting in the hallway after bar waiting for the people that lived in whatever apartment I was at to show up. Instead our group was greeted by a friend who lived down the hall with a huge white box of pizza. We dug right in on the floor and all... I was so happy I had a pizza in my hand that I had to fold to eat. I was instantly hooked and couldn't wait to order the next Friday to deliver to my house. The delivery guy was so nice because I was moving and I had packed my glasses and had asked for cups. He forgot and came back with a whole sleeve. Great place!
(5)Steve B.
Underwhelmed. At at five pizza places in Milwaukee on Black Friday while the ladies shopped. I had heard some good things about Brick 3, but expectations fell short. No need for me to go back here. Too many other good spots in town.
(3)Phil K.
Brick3 is awsome... Nice clean place, good staff and great pizza
(4)Justin E.
This place is amazing for pizza. I try to go everytime I'm downtown. So many different types to try and really reasonably priced.
(5)Emily T.
Great pizza. Huge portions !!
(5)Tony C.
Not that the food is necessarily bad, it's just somewhat common. I always thought that Ian's was fantastic, and this place reminds me of an attempt to copy them. Brick 3 has tried to replicate the Ian's model, even attempting to make the same mac and cheese pizza. For a quick lunch, I think it's a decent enough place, although my pizza was left in the oven for too long and the crust became tough.
(2)James K.
Great! Delicious! So many choices!
(5)Jessica O.
Ambiance: Very minimalist. Black tables, white walls, brushed chrome counter and pizza ovens. We were surprised to find they weren't brick ovens as we assumed that is what the "brick" in the title refered to. Staff: Counter person was very nice and very efficient. We had got an order of the fried raviolis. When he brought them out to the table he told us that two of them had gotten lost in the fryer and they were remaking them and would bring them out right away. Now, it didn't say on the menu how many ravioli's came in an order. He could have just as easily brought out what he had and gave it to us and we would never have known but he didn't. And a few minutes later true to his word he brought out the remaining two raviolis. There are a lot of restaurant staff out there that would have just let this slide and hope the customer didn't notice, I have to commend them that they were not one of those staff. Food: So I'm not a native New Yorker, in fact I've never quite made it to New York yet. I don't know if this is authentic New York style pizza, all I know is I LOVED IT! I am your typical Milwaukee pizza lover, cracker thin, crisp crust and cut into sqares all the way. So who could have imagined when I picked up that big triangle of pizza on a floppy crust that I would fall hopelessly, shamelessly in love? But I did. I just got a slice of the simple plan cheese pizza. I like to start out with cheese pizza when I am trying new brands because you can really taste the important elements that go into the pizza without getting clouded by over the top ingredients. The cheese was generous, and greasy! The sauce was perfect, not over whelming at all. As I said above I actually really liked the floppy crust. Okay, HUGE bonus points from me for the following 1) In addition to Grated Cheese and Red Pepper Flakes for you pizza they also had an Italian herb blend too. Few pizza joints to this, I don't know why because the minute I see that little green jar of lovely flavor begging to be sprinkled liberally on my food, I am a happy camper. 2) All 3 accoutrements were at each table, instead of one communal area for all diners. I like not having to share :) The fried ravioli's were good and came with more than enough tomato sauce to dip them in. Boyfriend ordered the Lasagna pizza and agreed to let me have some. I loved the creamy pockets of ricotta and the well seasoned meat. They have some desserts in a display case. Boyfriend got an éclair which was gigantic. Since my original trip I have been back many times and have thoroughly enjoyed their Hawaiian Pizza and their BBQ Chicken Pizza. Both were awesome! Went back again. OMG try the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza! Beverages: They have Coke! Another point awarded. Parking: Street only. I definitely plan to return. The staff was awesome, the pizza was incredible. I want to try all their other flavors too. Also they have a 34 inch pizza! That's almost a yard, yo. I want to throw a party just to order that thing!
(5)Mike S.
I stopped in for a couple slices to go after a show at Turner Hall. The sausage, mushroom and onion pizza was pretty danged bland. I was quite disappointed.
(2)Susan L.
I'm really surprised about all the rave reviews for this place (and, in fact, the reason why we chose it instead of one of the three places recommended by our hotel, is because it got such great reviews on Yelp). We ordered a large vegetarian pizza four nights ago, since we'd just arrived at our hotel and were too tired to go out to eat. The sun-dried tomatoes were good, but the other vegetables were just "fair" - and there also wasn't much cheese, which is basically *the main ingredient* of a pizza. Most of the reviews mention "the great NY-style" thin crust - and although I don't want to sound like a know-it-all New Yorker (besides which, I'm not a native New Yorker & I've also lived in many other cities), Brick 3's pizza wouldn't pass muster here in NYC (to be fair, there's a huge amount of competition in NYC - but still....). We were very disappointed - and the driver was initially sent to the *wrong hotel*, so the pizza was practically cold by the time it arrived. Also; something that annoyed me was that the guy on the phone gave me the total price and I also told him we needed a receipt (we were on a business trip) - but the driver neglected to give me the receipt, which I realized just as he was about to get in the elevator and fortunately I managed to catch him. When I got back to our room, I discovered that the price was less than what the guy on the phone had told me - which would normally make me happy, except that I had already given a very generous tip to the driver (not that I assume the driver makes a lot of money and doesn't deserve a huge tip, but that's not the point).
(3)Samarai S.
This place is a go-to joint for the quick take-out at lunch since it's within walking distance. I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. I just got done wolfing down a Caprese slice....fresh, fresh, fresh. Delicious guys, keep it going!
(5)Yusaf S.
I always get their cheese pizza although I've definitely been tempted to try something else. Really nice place for pizza by the slice. I'd say Brick 3 Pizza is better than pizza shuttle...
(4)Christopher H.
Seems like I've been eating a lot of pizza lately but since it's my favorite food I guess you can't blame me. A friend at work said she loves New York style pizza so I asked her where she went for it in Milwaukee. She looks at me with a completely serious look and says, "Pizza Hut." Oh my Lord! Martha you have a new place to try! Lucy and I ordered a 16" pepperoni and sat down in a booth. The flat screen tvs playing a movie were a nice touch. The display counter showing many varieties of pizza was visually appealing. The place overall had a nice comfortable yet modern feel to it. The pizza was excellent. A bit greasy (it's pepperoni and NY style at that! It's supposed to be greasy!) and full of flavor. The Italian seasonings in the shaker next to the parmesan cheese and hot pepper flakes was a nice addition and should be a common sight at every pizza place in town. I should also mention the pizza was HUGE! 16" always sounds to me like a good size...just a little bigger than a frozen pizza right? But when each piece is full of tons of delicious gooey cheese you don't need more than 2 pieces. The rest heated up fairly nicely the next day at home. I will be back even though I don't normally venture to Old World 3rd for anything these days. It's nice to have a NY style pizza that we can actually enjoy!
(5)Roy A.
Interesting NY style pizza place with very interesting topping combos you can make. Actually tastes more like NY style pizza than most places that advertise themselves to be that. The bottom of the pizza has that NY blackness to it as well. Open real late and delivery is also real fast. Good stuff.
(4)David R.
They're open on Sundays now. Just had carryout the other night for one of their Tomato, Basil Artichoke pies and one of their Baked Potato pies. Both were extremely fresh and excellent.
(5)Rich T.
tasty stuff, here. i had a bacon and chicken bbq slice i believe. tasted fresh and the crust is nice and crispy, just the way i like it. people there were nice, decor was spiffy.
(4)Michelle B.
Fantastic pizza! Tastes just like getting a slice in NYC. Caprese is awesome as well as the pepperoni. Decor is cool however it could be a little cleaner. Otherwise the food was awesome!
(4)Alicia L.
really, really good. probably the best i've had in milwaukee. can't speak for the inside of the place since i've only gotten delivery. but the spinach pizza is very good...and the baked potato pizza is AMAZING.
(4)John S.
best pizza in Milwaukee. must try the BBQ chicken. great place to take the kids for a cheap and outstanding lunch before walking the riverwalk.
