Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I've been back a couple of times over the past year and tried the Marciano Meatball Sandwich (a great value at $5.50) and the Fuel Injected Cheesy Garlic Bread (the garlic butter is injected into the bread, as well as applied on top. My go-to is still the cheese, sausage and pepperoni on the hand-tossed cracker crust. It's one of my top 5 favorite pizzas in the MKE area, and the owners are really cool guys with a great story. I upgraded them to 5 stars because of the consistently great tasting food I keep receiving. FYI, carry-out and delivery only.

Solid five stars! I was craving some delicious cracker thin crust pizza- yelp to the rescue! Alphonso's was only a couple miles away and had good reviews. Ordered the cracker thin crust with pep, red onions, and fresh mushrooms. I mentioned we like it spicy and they added a touch of ghost pepper infused oil. OMG SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! The pizza was fabulous! The cheese to ingredient ratio was perfect, plenty- but not over the top. The sauce had great flavor and the crust was perfectly cracker thin. I'm so glad we took the chance on their pizza. It's definitely our new Sunday night pizza jam.

Favorite pizza in town. Been going since they first opened. Never disappointed. Prefer sausage pizza.

I have lived in West Allis for 3 years now and actually found myself settle for Dominos because I couldnt find a decent delivery pizza. I have no idea how I came across Alphonsos last night, but I am in love. OMG, the Super Bee crust plus the spicy red sauce have made my pizza dreams come true. I will struggle between trying the Cracker Crust - which is my go-to standard or ordering that killer honey crust again. Whatever it is, you had better lock my address into the GPS. You'll be hearing from me again.

I'm giving them 4 stars because they probably deserve it but I'm telling you... WHEN THEY SAY SPICY THEY MEAN IT. I like spicy food. I pretty routinely eat most jalapenos with ribs and seeds with no problems and I've honestly almost never had anything in a restaurant that I had difficulty being too spicy. I grow my own habaneros and make jelly out of it (with the seeds and ribs). I had the chicken sandwich with the hot sauce marked spicy. Maybe it should have said ****SPICY!!!**** or something lol. Ok my fault but honestly it's usually not a problem. And I'll admit I ate way more than I should have because it tasted GOOD. I mean really good. But O M G the burning. I had to pack ice in my mouth for about 20 minutes to get it to stop and I couldn't eat anything else after that, and the inside of my mouth was swollen and I was talking funny for a while until the swelling went down. I couldn't really taste much else. The cheese sticks were good (had one before biting the sandwich). Pizza looks good but we weren't in the mood for it. The kids liked the chicken tenders. I'm honestly kinda ticked at myself that I got the spicy sandwich because I bet if I hadn't it would have been awesome and perfect. . The food was a bit over an hour but hey it's Friday night so expected. The delivery driver was nice and gave my corgi puppy some love :)

My favorite pizza joint in the area! Delicious 'za with perfecto crust and priced right. Plus, it's a fun place to visit. Do the scorpion crust. Just do it.

The best pie in Milwaukee period! I'm picky with my pizza.. so normally I only order a plain cheese to get an idea about taste before I get into the toppings... Took me 3 tries to get a pizza to the south side for my roommates. . Now let's talk toppings. . I was once a fan of Pepi's, but the lack of toppings turned me away.. Alphonso's makes sure you have the toppings you asked for on every slice and almost every bite... Big Ebe's was also a once great institution. . But lately it's nothing more than ketchup on soggy bread.. Alphonso's is a slightly sweet sauce with more flavor than a old school basement party. I don't see very many places doing pie this way... and I have a feeling neither have any of you... maybe that's why you need to put the digital media device down and call in an order! Don't forget to order the Hand Breaded Mushrooms and Mozzarella Sticks..

It was ok. I ordered a thin crust with sausage and onion. The crust wasn't that thin and it was chewy. The sauce was really sweet and the sausage was bland. The cheese was good though. Overall I felt it was overpriced for the size of the pizza especially since the tsar was just average.

Starting with 3 stars after one delivery, but thinking it could get better. I actually kind of hate tavern cut pizzas where they are in little squares, especially on a delivery where the steam causes the cheese to be extra melty and then the middle squares kind of get all mushy and messy. I'd ask them to cut it the regular way in the future - it's easier to eat and would ease some of the sogginess problems. The pizza, however, was pretty tasty. We're new to the neighborhood and finding our way through the local places and this one tops the list so far. The other reviews said we had to get garlic bread, but we ended up being kind of unimpressed with it - it was a little soggy, not very flavorful and didn't stand up to Mama Mia's, which is what I'd imagined it would be similar to based on other's descriptions. The location is pretty close to our house, so in the future I'll probably place the order and go pick it up to make sure we get to eat it hot and fresh. We were spoiled on the east side with all our take out options and non-chains, something that we have yet to find a ton of by our new house. But Alphonso's fits the bill and I'll be happy to continue to try out the menu and give them our business.

Back in business! We missed Alphonso's during their shutdown, but they have re-opened and are still providing a quality pizza pie and delicious sandwiches. I stopped in on my way from work and thought I'd give the meatball sandwich a go. Five bucks?!?! You can't beat that for the size of the sandwich you get. The meatballs had an excellent flavor and the cheese and bread completed the trifecta of goodness. While I waited, and looked over the menu and talking with the staff, I'm looking forward to checking out some of the other crust options, specifically, the ghost pepper crust! Looking for a great pizza pie, not your chain restaurant, you have got to give Alphonso's a call...

Hitherto 3 1/2 stars...no way! This place has amazing pizza. I feel torn being between Alphonso's and Pizzeria Scotty. I live half way between each! By far the two best pizza places in the Milwaukee area. If you like Scotty give this place a try. The ingredients are always fresh here, the prices are spot on and the service is good. Only complaint tonight was the marinara sauce...was sweet and flavorless. However, they were unnecessary for how good the mozzarella sticks were. Pizza was 5-star. Will order again.

Ok, saw an article about Alphonsos at onmilwaukee. The picture had me hankering for some cracker thin crust pizza. Ordered a large cheese, sausage, mushroom, onion pizza ror delivery. $22 and 45 minutes later, the fresh pizza was at my house. Friendly delivery guy. The crust was cracker thin, but substantial enough to not get soggy. The sausage was flavorful. The sauce was seasoned well. Totally LOVE this pizza. We will be ordering again for sure!

Called in for my carry-out order since I live outside of their rather generous delivery area. It was worth the drive! I got the Fastback (basically a meat lovers) on the herb crust, and an order of the cheese garlic bread. The pizza was coming out of the oven right as I walked in the door, and the place smelled divine. The garlic bread didn't even make it home and by the time I got home the pizza was the perfect temp for eating. I was impressed that the crust was still crispy when I got home. So often with a hot pizza steaming inside a box, the crust will get soggy on you. The meats were flavorful, the cheese was plentiful, and the sauce was slightly sweet tangy perfection. I WILL be ordering pizza from here again.

Pizza was great! Had thin crust extra large! Cooked to perfection. Also, restaurant is veteran owned so that's a big plus in my book! Support the troops!

I ordered the meatball sandwhich and got a sausage sandwhich shaped like meatballs WTF. If you don't have meatballs say it and don't pass off a BS sandwhich. By the way it was good. Toasted french bread, cheese, sweet red sauce with fake substitute sausage meatballs. There is a sausage sandwhich on the menu and to pass it off as a meatball is just stupid. It was good but not what I asked for and to try to fool me is a first for me. I called and asked if the meatballs were home made and I was told yes and he conformed my 30 min ago order for the sandwhich like OK and never skipped a beet. Nice guy but why would you fool a first time customer. I might go back if I can get past the slight of hand BS i was served. It was better than the BS chain sandwhich places for 5 dollars flat which is weird, it was decent and real. I will go back for something different like the alzone and report.

Service was fast and friendly, but the pizza was nothing special considering the vast number of phenomenal pizza places in the area (Ballestrari's, Mama Mia's).
