travelers: do not let the name of this restaurant fool you. This is not a strip club or a rowdy biker bar. This is a must-visit in Marshfield for the best burger I've ever had. That previous sentence was not hyperbole. If I find a better burger in the US, I will retract my statement. Yes, you'll have to explain the name on the receipt to your wife or on your expense report, but take a picture to prove you're eating burgers and not "making it rain". The burger patty is really what makes this stand out - huge, juicy and cooked with a grilled on the back-yard BBQ flavor that comes through even though the toppings are generous and tasty. The bun is also great, spongy and appropriately sized for the huge patty. It does not get soggy and fall apart halfway through. Do I even need to explain the cheese? We're in Wisconsin. Here is truth: You don't need some art school drop out in a high brow hipster Gastropub charging $18 to perfect a burger, you need good old fashioned central Wisconsin know-how that came from years of experience in making burgers for hungry farmers and truckers. This is the kind of burger that big city gourmet eateries try to mimic. But This is the real deal. Don't pass it up.

Came on a Friday night, it was about a 30 minute wait to get a table. For it being busy service wasn't bad and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Even with our drinks the bill wasn't terrible.

Awesome burgers. We ordered the marshfield, the cheese curds, and the mushroom Swiss which were all very good as were the fries. Clean and large tap selection. Family friendly (if you ignore the name of the restaurant!!!).

Ok, not a big fan of the name of the place. But it is Northern Wisconsin... I have spent a good bit of time in Marshfield this fall and this place is a great Go-To. I have had the burgers, the fish, wings, and the pizza. They all are good.The ingredients are obviously of good quality. The service is very good, and the prices are almost criminally low. Good clean atmosphere. This is a can't lose place.

burger ok nothing great was hoping for more they were slammed on a Saturday with all the football games on so it was slow going for our food you would think you would have extra people on to work the rush

I ordered the Marshfield burger and cheese curds. My friend ordered the sweet potato fries. Burger was super moist and it was well made. The cheese curds are better than Blue Herons. Service was super helpful. I would definitely go there again.

Another great burger, crispy on edges and juicy in the middle and the bun holds together right to the last bite! Too bad it's a 35mile drive to enjoy these burgers! The menu could use a tap beer list 'the waitress may not know all the choices, chips & fries are just ok

Visited Marshfield and this was the best food we had all week! Burgers are amazing(and huge!), and the service was just as good. We sat next to a very loud table of kids but our waitress quickly cleared a table across the restaurant so we could move. She was very attentive and food came out quickly for a busy lunchtime. Don't let the name fool you- stop in and grab a burger, or cheese curds. You won't be disappointed.

Nutz Deep is a pretty decent bar. As a guy who doesn't drink, I can't comment on the beer or alcohol selection. As an avid consumer of burgers and fries, I CAN speak to the quality of the greasy eats. In short, the burgers are very good. I don't want to go as far as say they are great, but they are definitely very good. They're probably tied or slightly better than the burgers at Brown's Bar. I like the service at Nutz Deep and think the prices are fair. As a non-native of Wisconsin, it's difficult to compare this place to other bars in town, but I can confidently say that you can do worse than Nutz Deep. It's recommended.

Nutz Deep II is one of our go-to places if we don't feel like dinner at home or for meeting family to socialize. You haven't lived until you've heard your grandma say, "How about if we go to Nutz Deep?" Never thought I'd hear that one. Everything to eat here is pretty solid. Of course you can't go wrong with the burgers, as a number of other reviewers have mentioned. My wife's favorite is the fish combo where you get two really large fish filets, one haddock and one cod, and some large shrimp. I would also recommend the bleu cheese chips appetizer which includes homemade chips, bleu cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, onions, tomato, and probably a couple other things I forgot. It's quite a large platter which could be a whole meal or enough for at least 2 or 3 people to snack on. This is also a great place to have a few beers or drinks. They have a number of Wisconsin brews on tap, and a good atmosphere to just hang out with some friends and have a few. I'd say the service is above average for the Marshfield area. Overall this is one of the first places I'd recommend to eat around Marshfield.

Love me some Nutz Deep! Whenever I am back in town, Nutz is where we go to meet up with friends and family. It gets super busy most often, but it is just one of those things that you deal with. Great beer selection for Marshfield, and pretty good food to boot!

Serious upgrade for Nutz Deep. Their remodel, which might not be so recent, has really improved the bar vibe. It went from creepy dive to decent hang out. They're still everything they were before, but now they have a really nice patio and even better lay out.

There always seems to be a lively group of people here on the rare occasion I go out on a weekend. It's nice to know there will be other people at Nutz when the other bars are barren. I usually go to Nutz for the food. I am in love with their shrimp. It's nothing fancy, just some deep fried bar shrimp, but it's crispy and I can count on them having Guinness on tap for me to drink while I'm there too. I've heard some great things about the Blue Moon Burger (nearly everyone I go there with orders it). I believe they have been once again voted as best burger in town, too.

I came in here to watch a Packers game one Sunday afternoon when I was visiting town. They have a lot of tables and plenty of TVs. During the game they turned had the TV sound coming through the bar's main speaker system so you could hear the game. That is a must for any bar in my opinion during Packers games. Their menu of classic bar food was very extensive and delicious! I would come back here any time.

I walked in and the waiter asked if I was looking for a seat. Why else would I be there? I had a burger, cheese curds, and beer. The burger didn't come with a side, according to the waiter. He did bring it out with store-bought chips though. It was all very good food. The waiter took my beer before I was finished and I had to stop him from taking the cheese curds before I was finished! I hope it was a case of a new/inexperienced waiter. Otherwise everything was good.
