We were very disappointed by the quality of the food at Lucky's on Lake Wisconsin. The clamp chowder was very thick, without any clamp pieces, and taste like it had come from a can a long time previous. We had the lake perch fry - I'm not sure what lake this fish came from, but perch from Lakes Michigan & Superior do not yield 3 1/2" × 9" fillets. The batter was quite oily and fell off the fish when attempting to eat. OK, now the reason for not giving a one star rating - the staff, the mac n cheese bites and that view. The bartenders made a ver good cocktail at a good price. Our server, Ivy, was as sweet as could be, and she genuinely seemed to make our experience great. The fried mac n cheese was killer! A surprise to be sure. They were nice and creamy and flavorful. The view speaks for itself. In summary - go for the smiles, view and bites; not dinner.

The best thing about Lucky's is the view. The menu has tons of variety, and I really want to like Lucky's but... I can't. I've been there a few time hoping that with time the kinks of a new restaurant would get worked out, but the service continues to be incredibly slow. It's hard to say if the problem is the waitstaff or poor timing in the kitchen. Entrees seem as if they spend a long time under heat lamps... fries aren't hot and salads are wilted. On my last (and final) visit I got a nasty case of food posioning from some nachoes It is so disappointing because as others have stated there is so much potential here. And because they are on Lake Wisconsin and can easily stay busy with vacationers, they are not likley to fix the problems.

We've tried Lucky's twice now (because of the location), and had negative experiences both times. It feels like amateurs are running the place. Walk in to be seated and you'll have multiple employees walk by and not acknowledge you- there is an obtrusive spiral staircase to the lighthouse as soon as you walk in, basically in the way of everything (a lighthouse?) To the left there is a dining room overlooking the lake adorned in Lodi High School garb (seems weird....and cheap). Between the dining room and bar there is outdoor seating overlooking the lake. We opted to eat at a table in the bar- they had outdoor music, windows open so you could hear it, yet- the juke box was also on so everyone could hear both. (seriously- not one employee noticed this?) If you sit at the bar, your back is to the lake- giving the bartender the best view. The decor = a 90s poster of Michael Jordan and some Wisconsin beer signs. After a bit of a wait the waitress came by and asked if we'd ever been there before. Nope. Her response "oh, what can I get you to drink?" huh? Not try this, or we're known for this, etc. Why did you ask the question? Beer list is just ok. Ordered a burger and a sandwich. Asked for the burger medium rare, came out well done (based on other reviews, this seems to be a theme). I would've told the waitress, but she didn't come back. We flagged down the bartender for our bill. On our way out we noticed a sign in the back corner of the bar with daily specials- would've been nice to know. Food was just ok. Lake prices for food off a Sysco truck. Nothing local. Our second trip- after waiting for service for 17 minutes we walked out. We were seated at a dirty table- the tables that did have ppl had empty plates and empty drinks. Waitress had no sense of urgency or ability to multi-task she'd take a drink order, enter drink order, wait for drink order, bring drinks to same table (walking by us not even acknowledging us) take food order, repeat. We figured it would be another 20 minutes for her to get to us. Overall, employees are not trained (or just don't care), decor is strange (downstairs= Caribbean theme, so 4 different styles) like they couldn't make up their mind, and the food is nothing special. The place is not well run- It's July, and the lake bar has a drab winter picture on their website. We won't be back until we see reviews that the place has really turned around.

I sort of feel bad for this place. We came in and it was completely empty. The food was fine-- nothing out of this world but not bad by any means. I had the club sandwich. The service definitely left something to be desired, however. Granted, it was 11AM on a Sunday-- no brunch so we decided to have lunch instead. Probably took 45 minutes to get two sandwiches out. And nothing else really going on. Overall, a pretty mediocre experience. We'll try spots with more local flavor from now on.

We went to Luckys in the lake on Friday 9-18-15 for the fish fry. The baked fish had no flavor as well as the garlic mashed potatoes. We had coleslaw that tasted horrible. The next day we all had food poisoning bad. The only good part was the soup. I would never recommend this place.

Lucky's has a great atmosphere, good views, and cold drinks. That's all with the good, now with the bad. The food is definitely not of high quality. The kitchen doesn't seem to acknowledge "no tomato". We went here on a Saturday and Sunday over Labor Day weekend. Saturday I ordered the wrap with NO TOMATO, the wrap came with tomato. The bartender made it right and gave me a free drink for my inconvenience. We returned the next day to give them another try and soak in some more of the great atmosphere and live music. Fail #2. I order a salad with NO TOMATO. The salad came with tomato. The waitress acknowledged the mistake the kitchen had made and said she'd have a manager come talk to us. We informed the manager this had happened two days in a row now, and the only thing she could say was "Sorry" and "I guess our kitchen can't read". REALLY? That's how she handles it? She didn't even offer to comp the meal I hadn't eaten. I asked her if they'd be covering the price of the salad and she said, "Yeah, I guess we can do that". Long story short, this place has the potential. It's a great place on the water with a good vibe and great live music. They need to improve on customer service and according to the manager, hire somebody who can read.

Delicious chicken Caesar wrap and waffle fries on a gorgeous day! The service was great too and it's such a peaceful, serene view of Lake Wisconsin on the patio! Came here another too and it was nice!

Outside looks nice. Needs some landscaping but has just opened. Ordered some burgers and a sandwich. Waite time is looking to be over an hour. Table behind us were offered 10% off their Bill due to their Waite time for food and the dinning area wasn't even full. Food was good. Didn't have any silverware at port table so we had to take some from the table next to us. Manger came to our table and gave it's half off or Bill for the wait time for our food. Place has potential but needs work especially in the kitchen!

We have been here a few times now for food and each time it has been pretty bad. The first time we went was before the resturant was fully finished and opened all the way. We should have known better but we wanted to be noisy and try it out. Orderd wings and Nachos. Wings were cold still frozen and the nacho looked great but the cheese was cold.... C'mon man..... really cold cheese on nachos how does that happen????? Still frozen chix wings can get someone seriously sick. Should be checking with a temp gauge. Complained about food and they made us feel as if we were in the wrong for telling them food was cold. We went for lunch the other day and we were the only people there. I had what the waitress said was the number one seller on the menu and she said was her favorite thing the Wild West burger. Orderd it med rare to med and came out very well done. Didnt complain or make it an issue just ate it. Food was nothing special. The bar and resturant decor leaves me scratching my head???? Why is the bar not facing the lake???? The outside patio and band stage turned out pretty nice. But the food draws the people into the business to drink. If food is sub par it is going to be a bumby ride with Fitz's across the street and other good options on the lake like Remi's Thirsty Moose. Needs a revamp already and they just opened. All the locals are talking bad about the service, food, and prices. Make ur locals happy. Beers are $3.50 - $6.00 for Micro beers. Thats Madison / Chicago prices not winter time Lake Wisconsin prices. C'mon Man......

This place has a ton of potential! The views of the lake are amazing, and the outdoor patios are great. The draft beer and liquor selection are decent as well. However, the service is "ok" and the food is "sub-par" to dissapointing. To the person who makes the decision on food, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, get rid of all the Sysco bar food (Iceberg lettuce, typical deep fried items, and run of the mill bar food). People want FRESH, GOOD food and this place should have it. I'll continue to go here strictly because of its location, but I won't be oder ring anything off the menu.
(2)Larry R.
We stayed away because of all the horror stories we heard. First we went in at lunch and it was a week day and the waitresses could not have been better Pull Pork excellent and a burger average . I just wish these places with so much potential would serve a meal that was not a Sysco basic. We will try at peek time dinner next.

We tried the new Lucky's on the Lake on a recent Saturday night. The restaurant (formerly The Bridge) has been completely remodeled to take better advantage of the view of the lake. A nice addition is the observation tower right in the center of the entryway. The restaurant is nice but not fancy, which is just right for the location. The parking lot was quite full but the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Only about a third of the tables were occupied. There seemed to be plenty of staff but the service was painfully slow. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders, 15 more for delivery. When she finally got around to taking our food order, it came in a reasonable amount of time. The menu is pretty casual--mostly sandwiches--with just a handful of entrees such as ribs (out of stock the night we visited), filet mignon, and walleye. They advertise all of their beef as coming from the locker plant in Lodi and never frozen. One person in our group had a burger and said it was excellent. Another had the walleye and liked it. My wife and I both had chicken sandwiches. Mine was fine; my wife's was full of fat and gristle. Hopefully Lucky's gets their act together from a service standpoint before summer hits. I would probably try it again but my wife will definitely not. We'll stick with our Okee favorite: Fitz's on the Lake.
(3)Kay K.
Service was OK. Drinks lite. Food cold. Ate the cold sandwich because after waiting an hour I was famished. Outdoor seating is nice. Will I go back? Yes, it's close to home but will drink beer and order nachos.
(2)Cyndi H.
We would like to try Lucky's but the pier they put in is way to high, would not dock my boat there. Lower your dock

They have obviously put a lot of money into this property, and I think the outside ambiance is awesome. Now, please put some thought into your food and service. Service is slow for mediocre food. I really hope they figure it out asap!

Friday night Fish fry. We were seated immediately, wasn't too impressed with dining room but had nice Windows to look at Lake and local Lodi sports tributes on wall. Food was very good. Had to wait for clam chowder soup as it wasn't ready but it was worth the wait.
