I've been dining here for a good 15 years now. Oh my gosh, the lunch buffet is so good! It's actually the best Americanized-Chinese buffet food I've ever eaten. The service is ok at lunch, but sometimes they miss soda refills. It really depends how busy they are. You can buy a take out container to fill with buffet food if you are in a rush. If you are dining in, you have the option of ice cream for dessert. I wouldn't recommend Ming's for dinner because it is pricier and you don't get the variety you can have at lunch. Take out that is usually ready in 20 minutes around the dinner hour.

Found myself visiting friends in Lake Mills and we decided to grab some take out for dinner. A call was placed to Ming's; the food was ready in around 10 minutes, which is impressive given we ordered for 5 people. Service at pick-up was fast and friendly. Prices were very reasonable - under $40 for 5 main entrees and an appetizer or two. Arrived home - the massive portions were still piping hot. Perfect amount of rice; not too much, not too little. Most of the food was decent; some items were better (sweet and sour chicken), some a little worse (house lo-mein). All things considered, it was a 3-star event.

Good value if you're looking for typical Americanized Chinese fare. We enjoy the takeout, friendly employees, and very prompt service. All in all great for a night in when you don't feel like cooking.

Tried this place as there is no other Chinese restaurant in town. I ordered take out and it was ready quickly for a Friday night. The meal tasted good and was what one would expect from a Chinese restaurant in any urban area. Their prices are reasonable, and the place is worth revisiting. As a side note, if you order carry out, remember to grab your sauces and fortune cookies when you pay.

My favorite restaurant in Lake Mills. If you like mild, I recommend the chicken with broccoli and if you like spicy try the Singapore Chow Mai Fun. Good food, very reasonably priced, and very fast. They have a nice buffet during the week.

Very nice people, plenty of food to take home for left overs. Been here twice and continually exceeds my expectations from the last visit.

Food is always great. One of the better chinese restaurants around. Pricing is fair and you get the expected large portions.

Not terrible Chinese food. for a buffet. Nothing out of this world though. We always get good service.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
