Best Kenosha has to offer! My husband and I are here tonight from Chicago for work, and we literally walked the entire town looking for nightlife... or some resemblance of. Sazzy B's was crowded (for Kenosha standards) at 6pm, and packed at 9pm. Awesome local entertainment, great drink specials (1/2-priced top shelf), and homemade/in-house desserts (choc cheesecake was rich and DEELishus). Not a ton going on in the downtown Kenosha area, but Sazzy B's was definitely kicking!

WOW,great Sat/Sun brunch. Bloody Mary menu, perfect and beyond anything you would expect. Staff awesome. My new fav.

We went to Sazzy B's last night around 6pm. It was not busy and there were two wait staff working. We got the less experienced waitress. She did not say anything about the specials. In between courses, she'd wander from point A to point B, not looking like she was sure what to do. But she was very pleasant and did respond promptly when the kitchen let her know an order was up. I ordered a glass of Cabernet that ended up being the last glass out of the last bottle of that particular brand. I should have seen that as an omen. We each had house salads, but my husband substituted blue cheese dressing for the house vinaigrette. I was very happy with the salad, it had fresh tomatoes, mozzarella balls, homemade croutons on top of fresh spring greens. It was also topped with generous shavings of parmesan cheese. The vinaigrette had a wonderful balance of sweet and tangy and was perfect over all the other fresh ingredients. My husband wasn't as pleased with his salad, as he said the blue cheese dressing was a little bland. I had the Steak of the Night, which was an 8 oz. tenderloin with chipotle mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. My husband had the Bourbon Salmon. Both were fresh and hot. My chipotle potatoes tasted good, but the color was a little off-putting. I had ordered my steak medium rare and when I cut into it, I found it to be very rare. The waitress offered to take it back and confirmed that she had put medium rare on the ticket. A new plate was presented to me and upon cutting into it again, it was still bleeding all over. Even the waitress immediately remarked it was still too rare and she took it back. The third time back it was finally done enough. While I was waiting for my steak, I tried some of the Bourbon Salmon. It was done perfectly and the glaze on it was sweet, but not over the top. It had a corn salsa over top of the salmon and was on some rough cut roasted potatoes. It was very tasty. I'm not sure if the cook was just having a bad night with my particular steak or if my steak was rushed because of my husband's salmon, but I will say I was disappointed.

I have been here twice and I love it! Great atmosphere and a good food selection. The first time I visited, I had the fish tacos which were very tasty. The second time I tried the Lobster Mac N Cheese and that was out of this world. Very rich and delicious! Try a mojito too! They are amazing...

I enjoy the food and atmosphere at Sazzy Bs. I'm a big fan of downtown Kenosha, and am very glad that they choose this location. I stopped in on Friday night and had a relaxing glass of wine and an AMAZING salad! The bartender suggested both items when I asked and was completely happy with both. The salad was a mixuture of lettuce, walnuts, feta cheese, and filet.... I ate it on Friday.... It's now Monday.... and I can't stop thinking about it! They are on special on Tuesdays.... I will have stop in Tuesday and have another one!

Found the service to be spectacular, I would give the service 5 stars. Our waitress was attentive and personable, excellent. The food was very good and was appropriately priced. We had the humus appetizer, omgoodness very good. Drinks were excellent. I had a (ok 2) lemon martinis. I will definitely go back. The atmosphere was lovely, the live music was good, food was great, and service excellent.

OK- I don't want to give it 2 stars but considering they newly opened when we went I have to give a little room for error. Apparently, they are the fancier cousin to Pazzos which is pretty good. I had the Ahi tuna which I believe was the best dish on the menu. We came with a group so we all ordered something different. The atmosphere is great! The martinis were wonderful, and the dessert to die for... The main courses however was not so good. It all (except the Ahi tuna) lacked flavor and quality fresh ingredients. The other review was accurate when she said it was Olive Garden quality, but more expensive. Please Sazzy B we want your restaurant to do well. My husband and I are foodies and would love Kenosha to step up a little in the dining experience. We'll go back with the new menu and report back. And one more thing- more butter is NOT better!

Went to Sazzy B this past weekend with two other folks. We were seated immediately at a table along the wall. Started with the elderflower cocktail which was fantastic, and something that I don't always find at places in smaller towns like Kenosha. The table shared the stuffed mushrooms which were tasty and came out far enough before the meal to give us time to finish them before out entrees arrived. My fiance and I shared the steak and beat salad the the basa fish entree, the salad was well portioned and had a healthy amount of steak for the price. The basa fillet was huge, finished with a jalapeno basil sauce and served with risotto and asparagus. The other person in our party had the greek chicken salad which I also tried a bite of and thought it was good. The only downside is that live music started during our dinner and it was too loud for us to continue having conversation. That is partly on us as we didn't notice them setting up and should have requested a table closer to the door vs. the back by the stage area. Will definitely visit again!

I've had some decent nights at Sazzy B. The food was always okay, the drinks were OK priced, and the staff acted like they couldn't care less that you were there (Except for one bartender, who has been there for many years and is always very friendly). The last time I went, however, I did not have a good experience. My friend and I went there to have dinner on a Wednesday night. We were seated at a table and given menus. The waitress walked past us about 10 times without saying anything to us. There was other staff standing around and one was cleaning a table. No one brought us waters, no one said "hi someone will be right with you" so we just sat there....waiting. When the waitress walked past us one more time and then stood up at the hostess stand and chatted with the bartender, still not even acknowledging us, we gave up. We got up and left and I don't think I will ever go there again for dinner.

Went with my husband for an anniversary dinner, what a disappointment. We both had the steak of the day, Ribeye which at $30.00 a pop should have been great but neither of ours was really cooked to order both overcooked but even undercooking could not have helped this steak which was nowhere near restaurant quality. tasted like mexican steaks from piggly wiggly, which I bought once and only once because they are so bad. the steak had no flavor and almost tasted boiled. my potato was very good garlic pesto mashed but my husbands were a spicy type which was overkill on the spice. perhaps some of thier other dishes are better than thier steaks but I will not be back to find out. they offered to cook us another steak but that would have been no better, I just dont think they buy quality meat. you should not be cutting away 4 oz or grizzle and mushy fat from a 10 oz steak If you want a quality steak and are willing to pay for it, go to Radigans or Backyard Steak Pit.,

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here last Saturday night. All of us has fish, me the Bourbon Salmon, my boyfriend the Stuffed Grouper and our friend the Blackened Chilean Sea Bass. We all enjoyed our entrees, very flavorful and with a nice presentation. Dessert was also delicious. My boyfriend and I shared the Apricot Cobbler, and our friend enjoyed the creme brûlée. My boyfriend and our friend started out with salads which they really enjoyed. The only drawback was that our entrees arrived before they were done with their salads. But overall, we really enjoyed this place and will visit again when in the area.

My favorite place in Kenosha. Sazzy is the only place around here that consistently offers good food that pushes the envelope. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are always great. They offer a full bar including a great scotch and whiskey selection as well as one of the better craft beer selections. Plus, there is often live entertainment ranging from jazz to great bands. If I go out in Kenosha this is where you'll likely find me.
(5)Erica W.
The food was super good!! I got the grilled shrimp and steak salad (without the berries) and my husband got the bbq whiskey burger. I would definitely come here again!!
(5)Stephanie S.
Went here for my mom's birthday and the food was absolutely delicious! The jazz band was fantastic! The staff was very nice and the food came very quickly. Highly recommend this restaurant! :)

Amazing food and a great wine list. I would suggest the prosciutto wrapped duck for an starter. Great deals every Tuesday!

We drove to Kenosha today for the Farmers' Market. Afterwards we were hungry and happened upon this place by chance. We are sooo glad we did! My daughter loved it, in fact, we all did. We dropped in around 10:30 for brunch, (we will definitely come back soon for dinner.) We had no problem getting a table, but they had a decent crowd. When you walk in, you get a nice vibe. The space is very inviting, it's clean and simple with a lot of exposed brick. It's an old building that has been nicely restored. My wife had the "Big-girl Mimosa", which she said was excellent. I enjoyed a very good Bloody Mary (they had approximately 6 to chose from). My wife ordered the Monte Carlos (ham and fontina cheese between two slices of brandy french toast). It was amazing! My daughter and I split the Big B breakfast. It included: sausage links, bacon, fried potatoes, eggs, fruit, and pancakes; all were cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly, relaxed, and professional. This place has upscale food, and big city ambiance, but with a down-to-earth Kenosha charm. We will definitely be back here soon!
(5)Manny R.
Great weekly specials and very good brunch. You can't go wrong with open mic and Martinis.
(4)Meghan H.
The butternut squash salad. Ughh I'm in love. Winter mixed greens, red cabbage, roasted butternut squash, candied pecans, pumpkin seeds, what else could make this salad better? Not much. I added avocado because why not, and was oh so glad I did. The delicate creaminess of the avocado complimented the crunchy, rich flavors already present. It was heaven. This is a salad that you'll be proud you ate because it's both delicious and loaded with good for you ingredients. This is a salad you'll crave; trust me because I'm craving it.
(4)David K.
I had the best meal ever there. The caprice chicken changed my life. Well worth the money spent. This is a great date place. Seriously I had the best meal of my life to date at Sazzy B's.
(5)Dana M.
I have been here 3 times and had great experiences each time. Good wine selection, amazing brunch menu, and excellent dinner food. On our last visit, I ordered the fantastic caprese chicken, which was fantastic. Also recommend the steak bruschetta!
(5)Jaimie L.
Love this place! Always have amazing service! Drinks are amazing! The bartenders rock! Atmosphere is relaxing, and romantic.
(5)Ricardo E.
Went there for brunch which is served until 2pm which is nice every other place we went to ended sooner then that. Food was good, bloodmary was was excellent and service was great our waiter was patient with us as we all were unsure on what to have. Once we were ready the waiter was very accommodating to our needs even after we order things that weren't on the menu. The inside of this place is a bit dark which might be nice on a night out on the town but for early in the day I tend to like a little more light but we sat outside on the patio so it was nothing we had to deal with. Overall this is a nice little local gem will for sure be back to try some of the other items on the menu and definitely be back be back to try their long list of cocktails!

Stopped in on a Sat. night after getting off the train from Chicago. Just not in the mood to go home and cook. MY wife had been here on several occasions with some friends. My first trip. Young man running the front of the house promptly seated us. Menus and glasses of water appeared rather quickly. Female server was friendly but clearly had her hands full. Ordered an appetizer and decided to hold off on drinks until we figured out what we wanted to eat. Server came by and said that our appetizer would be up in a minute or so and would we like to order dinner. Good idea. She did not mention if there were any daily specials or even what the soup du jour was. OK, no big deal but still an oversight. Pear, walnut bruschetta appetizer comes. Very nice. 4 adequate size pieces of bruschetta topped with honey, nuts, blue cheese crumbles and pears. All nicely warmed. Good mixtures of the salty from the blue cheese and sweetness from the honey. Entrees came soon afterwards. Almost too fast in fact. My wife had the bourbon glazed salmon. It was quite acceptable. Nothing outstanding but still a good execution. My only real complaint is that it was not very hot. I had the crusted mahi-mahi. Decent size piece of fish. Fresh, nicely prepared. Properly hot and moist, not dried out. The butternut squash risotto was good but there simply was too much of it. Roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts were meh. Mercifully, not overcooked; but just there. As it had already been a long weekend in Chicago and a long train ride home, decided to skip coffee and dessert. Bill was only about $70 plus tip for one app, 2 entrees, 2 glass of wine. Nice to see slightly upscale places like this succeed in a place like downtown Kenosha. Give it 3.5 stars for food, 1/4 star for just surviving. No stars for service, not bad, but not good either. So 3.75 stars.

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning around 11:30. There were only 2 other tables of people and no one at the bar. We were seated right away and ordered the Big Girl mimosas ($14 for 20 oz.) one in Raspberry and one in Mango. Both were delicious!! Husband ordered Big Breakfast or something like that, came with eggs, potatoes, pancakes and choice of sausage or bacon, although they gave him both. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelet, but what was served to me was a bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. It wasn't a big deal, so I just ate it. The food was good, nothing over the top. Service was fine. Can't say it'll top my list of places to revisit when I want a good breakfast or brunch, but I don't have any complaints.
(3)Adam S.
Fish tacos were good. However I couldn't tell there was fish on them. Tasted could all the same. Steak (filet) was a pinch below average. Calamari appetizer was not good. Nice place for a drink. Decent live music. Nice atmosphere.

Descent but not great food for the price that you pay, That is if you get what you ordered. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received from a waiter. Our table could not get him to wait on us, Had to wait fifteen for drinks and he had an attitude problem. Trying to pay the bill to leave and had to get another waiter to take my card and my waiter comes back with the bill to sign with no pen and ignores us for another fifteen minutes. Then we figure out he charged us wrong and you have a couple hours wasted. Aside from the horrible waiter I like the ambiance of the restaurant.
(1)Karen F.
I've only eaten here once. My salad was adequate. My husband had spicy sausage pasta which he enjoyed. Nice beer (bottled from local brewery) and nice mixed cocktails. Indoor seating is warm and cozy with the option to sit outdoors. Be advised; if you sit out there, people will be smoking directly behind you which is disgusting and distracting.

I wish I'd visited Sazzy's on a less-crowded night, but there was a live show ensuing, and the service reflected it. I stopped in on a Wednesday while I was in Kenosha on business. The plan was to order and take the meal back to my hotel, but I decided to grab a beer when I saw the band warming up. The decor was swanky, and the servers were friendly. My beer was served promptly, and the bartender made helpful recommendations on what to order. I went with the Lobster & Steak salad, which sounded delicious, and got a big thumbs up from the waitstaff. Unfortunately, they forgot to actually make the food, and when they did deliver it about 35 minutes later, I opened the carton to find a mound of raw lobster. Luckily, the steak semi-saved this tragedy, but was not redeeming enough to win me over. Wish I lived closer, because I'd like to give them a second try, based on the other reviews. But for now, 2 stars it is.
(2)Theresa M.
Steak and lobster salad is very good. Andoui and cheese stuffed mushrooms hor derves. Broccoli cheese soup all good. The thing you don't want to miss is when Stu the Piano Guy plays there.

We went here as a large party. Granted we were huge, almost the full size of the small restaurant, the food and service was terrible. All of our meat was over cooked by way of sitting under the hot plate too long. I couldn't even stomach more than three bites of my meal. The pesto was a red sauce far from pesto. No one asked if everything was ok. Not even as they removed my full plate of food. I overheard the waitress saying, "it's not my problem. I don't cook the food, I just bring it out." Shame on me for not saying anything to the staff, but shame on them for not paying attention to details. Far over priced for the quality of food.

Top shelf Tuesdays= half off all top shelf liquor!!!! Best deal in town to TURN UP! Also half off all appetizers on Tuesdays. I'd recommend the duck, hummus, and steak flat bread is absolutely delicious!!! Great chill spot for all ages

Walked here last Saturday when the wait around the corner at Wine Knot was too long. This place was packed too, but we were told the wait would be only about 20 minutes which it was. Drinks at the bar were a good pour. It went downhill from there. My wife got the only good meal: the stuffed grouper. One of us ordered the exotic sounding Turducken. Each piece of meat (turkey, duck, chicken) was served separately - basically some deli meat slices laid side-by side. Blah at best. Another had the burger medium rare. It arrived over-cooked, dry and looked like yesterday's meatloaf served on a bun. He managed to choke down half of it before giving up. The topper was my "steak-of-the-day", where they again served an over-cooked, dried out, inferior slab of meat that was supposed to be a juicy bone-in NY strip. Anyone from the kitchen or wait staff should have been able to look at what they served and put a stop to it before they tried to pass this atrocity off as a $32 quality steak. We also were served the wrong beer order and the waitress looked confused when my buddy confirmed that yes, he did want the IPA he ordered, not the whit bier she delivered. I had ordered another glass of wine while I waited for my replacement meal, yet the waitress forgot and had to be reminded to bring it to me. The bad service and bad food will be a funny story we can relive for years to come, but unless you like paying high prices at a place where no one seems concerned with quality, there are many better choices in Kenosha.
(1)Jeffrey W.
We came here on a date, and we will probably make this a regular spot. The Bourbon Salmon is fantastic. The whiskey list has several off-the-beaten-path items to keep me busy trying new things for a while. Reservations recommended for a weekend night.
(5)Ella K.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. The drinks were very good but the food wasn't anything too spectacular. The fish was perfectly cooked and the seafood risotto was ok. My husband's burger was good but nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our meal but for the price point we were expecting better food. We both loved the atmosphere and said we would definitely come back for drinks at the bar sometime, just probably not for a meal.

Good ideas for flavor but not well executed. I hope the new menu coming out is better then the one I tried. I ordered the Arancini (stuffed risotto balls), the calamari, and the "Special of the night" pasta. Pictures included. I'm hoping with the new menu they will use fresher items. I'm giving a 3/5 for the food but a 1/5 because they had a big band playing ridiculously loud! I could barely hear my server who was two feet away from me. Not a good start Sazzy :( I couldn't imagine why they think this loud roaring music was a good idea as it is a cozy place. Very annoying. If they toned it down a lot it may have been pleasant. The Calamari is typical olive garden style. I would think if it costs $9 per plate they should use fresh Calamari. A place I've been to in Gurnee has amazing fried calamari. Very soft. Unlike this which you can tell was popped out of the freezer and into the fryer. The calamari wasn't the toughest I've ever had but not even close to the best. The Arancini (stuffed risotto balls). I'm almost sure it was dipped in the fryer. I think is a good idea to have a good risotto dish but not previously into balls. I don't think it works very well. The risotto with the cheese and prosciutto would be a good simple dish. However since the risotto had to be prepared earlier it was a bit mushy. The flavors were nice and simple, why not keep it that way? When I get something with risotto, I expect it to taste fresh and not mushy. The special of the night was much better. Clearly it was freshly cooked fettuccine. It almost tasted home made. The red sauce was nice, well seasoned, and not too overwhelming. The chicken had little flavor and no love. Staff was quite friendly. However, when I heard another patron explain his position with the Arancini, there was no offer to not charge. When I told the server my calamari was not good (and only took a couple of bites) they also kept it on the bill. Not professional . I'll try the new menu when it comes out and I sure hope it's better and fresher! The restaurant that was in there before was quite decent. (Lazy Bird). Not sure why they shut it down but I hope they listen to the honesty of their customers and improve.

My beautiful wife Theresa, and I both go to "Sazzy B" for a great meal. Last time we both had the Fried Artichoke Salad with Chicken. Before that She had the Chicken Florentine and I had the Cajun Steak Salad. Before that, I don't remember but every time we eat there our taste buds are dancing. We also always split one of their great deserts. The bartender Riki always makes the best Martini's. Wines are superb. Servers all are fantastic and don't let you wait for your next beverage. If you want to go to a nice place, for a great meal, and fun evening go to "Sazzy B"!
(5)Steven K.
I love this place. Great food, excellent martinis, nice atmosphere, not many places like this downtown.
(5)Davin T.
The atmosphere is really ambient and relaxing, nice to see a place like this in the Kenosha area. The wait staff is trained well and very polite and friendly. I guess on weekends and Thursday they have live music, acoustic, jazz etc. The menu is great, every now and than i guess they have specials on Saturdays... but the Chef and the menu is great. Highly recommended.

For starters, I'm not quite sure what the name of this restaurant is and/or how to pronounce it. The sign above the door reads "Sazzy B" but its website and the receipt from yesterday evening read "Sazzy B's". But wait, there's a subtitle: "A sassy jazzy bistro". So it seems as if one ought to pronounce the main name of the restaurant "Sassy" rather than "Sazzy". Either way, the name was what deterred me from suggesting trying out this restaurant on previous occasions. I mean, come on, "a sassy jazzy bistro"? The boyf certainly doesn't fit my image of who its patrons are likely to be, and I'm not sure I do, my personal sassiness (sazziness?) notwithstanding. We deliberately chose to continue on a block to Wine Knot, but then when Wine Knot was awfully noisy and a little too chilly inside, I voiced my preference for trying out the 1/2 price Mai Tai's that I had seen advertised on a chalkboard outside the restaurant. Good ol' Sazzy B's knows how to do weekday drink specials: Monday is 1/2 price Mai Tai's and 1/2 price Martinis (of which they have many), Tuesday is 1/2 price top shelf, Wednesday is 1/2 price wines (both glass and bottle), and Thursday is 1/2 price beer. The boyf and I were looking for a not-noisy place to enjoy a drink in each other's company, and Sazzy B hit the spot. I'm by no means a Mai Tai connoisseur, but it was large and colorful and delish and very alcoholic and $4. The boyf was able to choose between two tawny ports, the one he chose ending up to be an extremely reasonable $6. I couldn't resist the martini menu and also ordered a "pineapple upside-down cake" martini, which consisted of pineapple rum, cake voda, pineapple juice, half and half, and a graham cracker crust ($4.50, normally $9). I know, I know, my drink choices are ridiculous. But I highly recommend it nonetheless. It was also so strong that I could not comfortably finish it. I'm a devoted member of the clean plate club, 'specially when it comes to drinks which I could, in theory, make for myself at home at much lower cost, so that Sazzy B's was able to satiate the Kate is a testament to the greatness of its bar, in my opinion. The atmosphere of Sazzy B is cozy and calm and classy: all good things. It is decorated well, has lots of seating, and our server was very pleasant. Not having tried their food, I can't speak to whether it is worth the price (most entrees are $14 and up), but if my sweetie and I were in the mood for a steak dinner in Kenosha, this would be the place we would most likely go, especially since the closest Outback is 17 miles away in Illinois.

Another awesome spot in downtown Kenosha. The place looks brand new. Warm colors, brick walls, the tables were made a deep colored faux marble, chairs very comfy, music in the background....Servers were very helpful, attentive and friendly. We had the caprese bruchetta to start, which was awesome. I had the Cajin fish tacos which were pretty tasty. They threw in some roast bell pepper, avocado, blackened fish filets on soft roasted shells. You have got to like hot food to order these. My wife had a filet, baked potato, veg.... Perfectly cooked . The drinks were well done and you only need to order one. This struck me like a couples place, they have a nice bar in the front and dinner seating toward the back. It was Friday night and 7 pm and it was not too busy...why? Anyway worth trying it out. It's a good date night place.
