Good popcorn, good ice cream, and a really friendly staff! We bring our grandkids here every time they visit Kenosha...for ice cream or popcorn...or both!

Well it's featured in the Chicago Tribune and boasts their caramel popcorn. It's definitely not as yummy as Garrets in Chicago, or as adorable as the Little Popcorn Store in Wheaton, but you can see for yourself.... Newspaper article: chicagotribune.com/featu… Too plain of decor for me.

For a small Mom & Pop Store I think this place is AWESOME! I don't have to travel to Chicago to get my gourmet popcorn fix, although I love Garrett's. I think we need to help our local businesses and shop more at these places. The customer service we received the day my husband and I went was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit soon!

Outstanding store! Full of treats! Popcorn in flavors you can't even imagine! This is a must stop place in Kenosha. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable and the store itself is charming and fun to just take a look around in and enjoy! A great place!!

As others have said, this is probably the best ice cream and popcorn you'll find in the area without going to Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago. The shop is nicely decorated with a very strong smell of sweets. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and attentive. The cedar crest ice cream they stock here is full of nice add-ins and has a nice light flavor with a creamy texture. At only $2.49 for a generously sized single scoop, you can't complain about what you're getting. As others have said, the popcorn is probably the closest you'll find to Garrett popcorn here (more like Poppycock) and is great to snack on if you're taking a stroll along the harbor. With the good prices, tons of variety in popcorn and ice cream, and a great staff -- I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Kenosha.

I cannot say enough great things about Sandys Popper! My husband is from Kenosha and every time we come to visit, we have to make a stop. They have every flavor you can imagine, and get very creative, but I am a sucker for their chicago mix. We loved them so much that we decided to have a popcorn bar at our wedding, and served none other than Sandys Popper, with flavors like Neapolitan, lemon, chicago mix, and turtle! It was such a huge hit, we had countless people comment on how much they loved the popcorn! Not only that, but Sandy (the owner) is the nicest person you will meet. Please try Sandys Popper, you WONT be disappointed! Thank you Sandy for a great experience every time!

Best place to go for dessert if you happen to be in downtown Kenosha for a bite to eat! While their popcorn selection is second to none in the area, I really rave about their ice cream! Service at Sandy's is always friendly! Every time I've gone in I've been greeted with a smile, and the staff don't mind accommodating all kinds of requests when it comes to serving. For example, I love their malted milk balls, so I like to switch the cherry on top of their sundaes for one sometimes. The servings are huge for the prices! Neither I nor anyone I've taken to Sandy's has ever complained of leaving on an empty stomach. The ice cream itself is tasty; it's made by Cedarcrest here in Wisconsin, and there are all kinds of unique flavors (Pirate's Booty? Black Magic?) that stay all year round, then seasonal flavors, like Fourth of July ice cream with Pop Rocks mixed in. Overall, I think Sandy's is the best place for ice cream in Kenosha! Stop in next time your'e eating downtown; you wont' regret it!
