Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

An Italian restaurant you must try! We have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and it has become one of our top 3. The staff is always freindly and willing to accomadate any changes you would like. It is the only place I know that will serve you a glass of wine in a generous amount! The food is great and the portion sizes just right. The specials that have are unique and always fantastic. It is a little busy on the weekends but well worth the wait. The astomphere is very nice and comfortable.

As stated in my original review, my fiance and I decided to hold our wedding celebration in their back party room. We had approximatey 70 people at our event and it went off without a hitch. The two ladies they had tending to the party were awesome and the food got rave reviews. I would highly recommend having an event here at Casa Capri

Casa Capri is an American-Italian restaurant...that's what their sign reads. Ok fine. When I went here with my parents, all they had were seafood specials and a menu full of seafood entrees. They even had a few fish tanks and live lobsters. Yes, there were the few average pasta plates but if you don't care for seafood, stay far. All the entrees do include bread and a salad/soup which is nice and I can't complain about the service. Our waitress was super nice; I believe a young college student from Carthage to be exact. My overall impression wasn't that great, just average. They do have a nice dining room with skylights and are always willing to do banquets. If you want good Italian food in Kenosha, I recommend you going to Villa d'Carlo on 7th Ave. If you love seafood, perhaps this may earn a better rating.

After reading reviews, we thought this would be a sure thing. But we were very wrong. We made a reservation- but when we got there, it seemed like they forgot about it. They quickly set a table in the back room. Then after ordering and waiting over 1 1/2 hours for our food ( and we had children with us!). The food was below gross, none of us finished. And whats worse, the waitress wasnt even apologetic How disappointing!

Came here for their valentines day special and made a reservation a few days in advance. I'm glad I called ahead because the time we got here - it was packed! They had it nicely decorated for valentines day- even had a live band playing. The meals came with soup and salad which is always nice when the meals take a little longer to get here than most places. I ordered something from the specials - tour of Italy so I could sample a few different items on the menu. The plate alone weighed about 5lbs and I will have enough food for a few days. The fettucini Alfredo was very rich and creamy. The manicotti had a rich and delicious ricotta and spinach filling and the chicken Parmesan was crunchy and full of melted cheese. My one complaint was all 3 items were different temperatures - it was obvious which one we were waiting on. They are always on Restaurant.com so use a coupon when you come in. The restaurant was busy but the staff was attentive and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The absolute best pizza in town. As for the rest of the menu, you can tell they're doing it right. The pasta and the sauces are home-made and it shows. My go-to for Italian food in Kenosha, nothing else compares. The ambiance is also nice. There's a fireplace that keeps things cozy and the bar area is very cozy. Service is also excellent, I've been here a lot and have never had a bad experience. A great family owned place.

I have been here multiple times and found the food and service to be very good. the have large portions and it is one of a few places that provides breaded pork chops.

If this is good Italian food in Kenosha, I'm Charlize Theron. Had lasagna and found pepperoni in it, which is a first for me. With or without the pepperoni, the lasagna was a miss. Tasted like it was pre-made and heated in a microwave. Pizza was pretty bland and didn't enjoy the crust. The restaurant is a bit dated. I will say that the service on any occasion I have been there, has been very friendly and accommodating.

A very old school Italian restaurant. Decor is very dated, but homey. Ate there for the first time tonight and was very happy. The waitstaff was a little slow, but very nice and helpful. Food was very tasty. Just like REAL homemade italian! I had a pasta combo plate that was amazing. My husband had a steak which was also very tasty. The dinners were both HUGE and we had plenty of leftovers.

Gourmet to what I believe. Tastes amazing! Wish I had money to go back often.

I have to " UPDATE" my review from 4/25/2015. I gave MY LAST REVIEW 5 STARS NOW I give them 1 STAR....... I dined here on Friday 6/19/2015. I have been dining at his restaurant for MORE THAN 30 years. I brought a ''special needs'' sister along with me. I was ''unaware'' that on Friday's dining here is ''all about the Seafood'' I WILL NEVER DINE HERE ON A FRIDAY AGAIN! The ''FOUL SMELL'' of Clam Chowder was all around me (I was literally turning "GREEN" BEFORE I even ordered!!!!). ''Anna'' the server took awhile to get to our table. It was EARLY in the dinner service and the restaurant WAS NOT BUSY YET. We had the menus and ''Anna'' came to ask what we wanted to order.I need to read the menu to my sister who has sight limitations(this takes some time as their menu is quite large and my sister is new to Kenosha, and has not dined here before tonight). We had questions FIRST. We asked if they had any" specials" and were directed to the back of the menu page. On the back page of the menu was slid in a paper page of "Today's Specials". We questioned some of the items and found out this restaurant ON FRIDAY'S HAS CLAM CHOWDER ONLY SOUP!. I love this restaurant ''Homemade (In-House Made) Soups BUT NOT SEAFOOD SOUPS!!!. I ask ''Anna'' If the restaurant has ''Baked French Onion Soup'' or any other non-seafood soup. She giggles and say'' we have been serving Clam Chowder ONLY on Friday's since the 1950's".I reply back "WELL I guess I will NEVER DINE HERE ON FRIDAY'S". I do eat fish IF IT DOES NOT STINK!!!! I vacation in Seattle and that involves NOT SMELLING ''Foul Smelling Seafood". Our waitress ''Anna'' grew quickly irritable with us asking questions about the menu as the restaurant was starting to get busy now. We are here to ''enjoy the food and have an enjoyable dining experience''. ''Anna'' was ''throwing questions'' and was growing becoming more impatient with us and trying to ''rush'' us to order. ''Anna'' was trying to get me to ''settle'' for food items that I do not like to eat. I finally had to tell here to leave our table and to come back later and ''give us some breathing space as she was ''hounding'' over me. We were not in a hurry to dine. As seeing ''Anna'' ''work'' the tables around us we were convinced she was trying to get as many tables (covers) in and out as fast as possible for the increase in her tips. I NEVER come to this ''FINE DINING ESTABLISHMENT'' to BE RUSHED IN AND OUT. I EXPECT the WHOLE ''FINE DINING EXPERIENCE''. Now ''WE ARE READY TO ORDER'' and ''Ann'' is standing up at the hostess desk talking to other employees. Our meal service is choppy and unorganized. My sister gets her ''stinky chowder'' as I sit waiting for my starter so I sit eating bread. We have to ask for my sisters salad to be brought. I am still waiting for my starter. I could have used my salad instead of having TO WAIT or eat bread and water only. I love the food here but I will NEVER dine here again on a Friday and I will not be served by ''Anna''.

this is a five star with 2 star prices. I am of Italia descent. I have been to MANY Italian restaurants & this is by far the best ever. no wonder they've been in business for over 50 years.... we had table of 5. we ordered pizza as appetizer. this is thee best thin crust pizza you will find. all the entrees were superb. I personally had the Rigatoni/with garlic olive oil. pasta cooked perfectly and the garlic olive oil was exactly if not better than what my grandmother used to make they do not skimp at all on the garlic. fresh salads made with mixed greens, bread basket. great wine selection & 5 star service as well. I only wish o lived closer as this would become a weekend favorite

Food is just like their outside parking and lawn area, BAD AND WORST! Just looking at their parking lot I should have left and not wasted our money on bad food!

The good: The portions are huge! I can eat a lot and would have to be extremely hungry to clean my plate here. The atmosphere is pleasing, darker, and makes for a nice family outing or a 3rd date spot. The service is very nice. Go here for traditional Italian fare. The bad: If you are really hungry, be prepared to wait quite a while. Do not do pizza here. There are many better choices. The notsoethical: I didn't subtract a point because I saw the fine print and compared it to the menu but others might not be so lucky. They advertise a buy one get one free coupon all the time in various local publications (great!). While this does help save you money, do read the fine print: it's usually up to a $10 or $12 value. Unfortunately I only saw one thing on the menu to which that would apply, meaning it's not really what it seems to be. I'm not a fan of businesses being shady, and while this may not cross that line it comes close. The meh: Overall the bang for the buck factor is a bit below average compared to other Kenosha restaurants. The huge portions help offset this, but there are lots of choices where one can do a bit better.

The restaurant is a classic Italian restaurant. The staff is very nice. I have been there several times I always get the house special stuffed manicotti it comes in a crockpot and is great. I recommend this dish it is their signature dish and is great . The prices are reasonable.

Okay. Owned by a friend of mine's family. I'll try not to be biased. Good service, nice little Italian supper club type of feel. Nice bar for an apéritif or for an after dinner drink. Many old Italian men, and sometimes couples can be found in this area, sometimes until almost midnight, chatting away in different Italian dialects. They have the best baked manicotti i have ever tried. Takes about a half hour for that dinner, in particular to be served. Soup, salad, and bread inculded w/ all dinners. Decent baked and fried seafood dishes, as well as pizza. Apptz. and deserts leave a bit to be desired. If you go, make sure to have a coacktail w/ one of the friendly bartenders before or after dinner and don't forget to try the manicotti!

With their consistency, they have earned an extra star in my book. Their homemade soups are delicious! My BF now always gets the Chicken Marsala and it is great! I have tried several different dishes and liked them all. Service is usually pretty good. It seems they are not open on Mondays or Tuesdays in the summer.

Nice place. Nice bar for pre-dinner cocktails. Diner is very nice too and the staff was friendly. Food was good, huge portions and the main entres were delicious. Cons: don't sit by the cash register. All night long it would beep with every push of a button. A little distracting. And the booths are very uncomfortable. They are built at a 90 degree angle and are not conducive to relaxing and hanging out . I felt like I had to sit straight up the whole time. Overall nice place.

The thin crust pizza is great! Love it!

First, this restaurant has a very comprehensive menu. Food excellent and service very energetic. Maybe perhaps a little too energetic. Alek was very accommodating and nice. Massive quantities of food could feed easily 4 X the number of people. Will be coming back again.

3 pizzas and lasagna = $64.46 and extremely disappointed. Messed up on order when we arrived for pick up no order ready. They Quick made it. The lasagna was very bland, very little cheese, and certainly not good Italian flavor or sausage. The sausage was like rabbit turds. The Pizzas were very bland also. We were so disappointed we called, and we were told by the manager it was our personal preference. We haven't changed anything with our lasagna. Well I beg to differ that point. This is NOT good Italian Food and very poor customer service. This place use to be our favorite restaurant. Not anymore. Just lost four customers.

Casa Capri is the best Italian food and service in SE WI. I can't wait to come back when I am in town. The Stella family does an amazing job. I held my daughters 16th birthday party here and we had the best time everything went perfectly.
