This was a nice place to stop by for a quick lunch on break. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was well-prepared and tasty. I live in Chicago so naturally I was also pleased in the difference in price compared to the big city.

The best part of our experience here was our waitress. She was AWESOME. This rating is for the food ONLY. I had the chicken wings. They were SO breaded that I couldn't taste the actual chicken. They sucked. Also, the celery that they gave as a side was so old, they didnt break when I bent them. They were just like rubber. Prices were average. I saw that they have a bloody mary bar in Sundays. I will return for that, but I'll never eat here again.

Since moving to Janesville 2 months ago, I've been here twice. Partially due to proximity to my apartment, but also because the name is too funny and my visitors had to see it to believe it. First time, I had late lunch with my mom and sister, which was good. We all had sandwiches/wraps, and were satisfied. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. The highlight was the homemade chips. Definitely choose these as your side. Went a second time for brunch with my brother. We also had heard that there was a build your own bloody bar, aka necessary after a night of boozing. Bloody bar was just what we needed, and of course the beer chaser didn't hurt either. Standard brunch items, I had some sort of egg and bacon plate. I also had some popcorn from the popcorn machine, because who can say no to fresh popped popcorn? (my brother, that's who...he questioned my decision to eat popcorn at 10am) Anyways, pretty average-to-good food, service, and price. I'll probably be back to catch a game or for more bloodies.

I don't know how to say the name of this place. I don't know if the name can be said. If I'm in need of a solid burger and a couple beers in Janesville I ask my girlfriend if we can go to "that fart sound place". The service is always friendly, the food is reliable pub fare and they have a nice little selection of craft beer. It's a little outside of town, but it's worth the quick jaunt.

I am a big Steve Martin fan, so when I saw there was a restaurant named Hhffrrrggh I had to stop in. The atmosphere was really fun, and the food was great. You gotta try the Prime Dip. It was delicious. My kids had a hamburger and reuban sandwich, and they were very pleased. Although I think their favorite thing was the free popcorn. We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in town.

Meh, barely average. Understaffed with slow service. I had Santa fe chicken, wife had taco salad. They were out of New Glarus Moon Man but it was on their beer menu. I would suggest making another stop. Tons of potential but just not put together properly.

Simple menu, good service, and always fresh. There's a central bar area with a pop corn machine, and a dining area with flat screens. It's a comfortable sports bar, with a relaxed sit down restaurant feel.

Food was mediocre and the serve was horrible. It took over and hour to get our food and twenty minutes to get the check and there was only four other tables. Waitress was pleasant.

About ten friends went to dinner at Hhffrrggh this evening, mainly for the fish fry. I was surprised that they offered both baked and fried fish as a combo (most give one or the other). I ordered a fish fry with french fries. The combo came with two pieces of fried fish -- one baked. The baked fish was really dry (but they give you melted butter so i could at least make it palatable). What was really odd was the fried fish was tough and dry. I can't recall having a white fish that was tough. The crust was paper thin as if someone forgot to batter the fish. The fries were limp (i won't say undercooked, but they certainly could've used another 30 seconds in the fryer). The cole slaw was tasty but I guarantee you it comes out of a bucket. My daughter is a vegetarian. She ordered an eggplant sandwich. The tiny pieces of eggplant (sliced very thin) were bitter. She ate dinner when we got home. Our waitress was nice. Too bad she had to serve crappy food. Something happened to this restaurant along the way. New (lazy) chef perhaps? We used to take our out of town friends to Hhffrrgh. I doubt we'll be back any time in the near or distant future.

My friends and I went out here to grab a beer and catch up. We just sat in the bar area and had a few beers. Great selection of beer by the way. We ended up ordering a pizza which was really good. The waitress was super nice and told us the pizza is handmade. I will be back for some more pizza.

I am from Janesville but do not live there anymore, but enjoy stopping in when I am home, I always see someone I know. I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid, at first I loved the game room but now I enjoy the beer. I love their cheese curds and house ranch! It's pretty rare that I order an entree I don't like. Their pizza's and fish fry's are great. My favorite is the huge taco salad. Get that with some more ranch and I am a happy happy customer.

The food is always fine. But the drinks were extremely weak. When we mentioned it to the server, she said she'd sell us a shot to add to them. Needless to say, we passed. I don't think we'll be back. I've never had that happen before.

This a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for a dinner. There are many option on the menu, but it is difficult to find something for a vegetarian. The waitstaff was helpful by making a veggie rollup. I appreciated the staff's attention and willingness to please the customers, but the food is a little bland. I would revisit the restaurant based on the excellent service and atmosphere.

The soup and salad lunch was excellent. I had southwestern salad with chicken and rice soup. The waitress was pleasant and service good.

This place is terrible. I was in town on business and the lady at the hotel recommended Hhffrrrggh, saying that "Wednesday is the prime rib special". I get there, sit down at the bar, and ask the bartender what the special is today. He had no clue what I was talking about. He had to go into the back and ask a waitress who also didn't seem to know. a minute or two later he comes back and tells me its the prime rib. So I order the prime rib, a house salad and loaded baked potato. Salad came out first. I got Italian dressing instead of the oil and vinegar I asked for. Not the end of the world. Salad was about as plain as it gets (chopped lettuce, few croutons, one cherry tomato). Prime rib comes out and it literally looks like a dried-out baseball glove covered in fat. It was awful in every way you could think. My potato had nothing but a side of sour cream and two packets of butter(like you get at a concession stand). I tell the bartender that I ordered a loaded baked potato, and he proceeds to tell me they don't have loaded baked potatoes. Would have been helpful if he told me that when I ordered. I tell him that they offer a loaded baked potato on the menu and he basically played dumb and walked off. For what it's worth I would never come back here. Food = awful. Staff = incompetent. I feel sorry for the local people who go here because there doesn't seem to be many other options in the area, so this place has a lock. Also - I had someone explain to me the name. It's apparently the initials of the owners. Absolutely stupid.

Very good menu and service. The fish fry is still incredibly busy, and it was worth my wait. This is my #2 spot for burgers in the area. They have all the qualities of a great bar burger. I'd like to see something unique with them, but I'm in no way complaining. I was surprised at how good their specialty nachos are as well. They make nachos to match any of their pizzas. I know it sounds weird, having something like pepperoni pizza nachos, but it really was good. And if you're looking for a place to watch a college game and have good food at the same time, this is it. They have 8 or more flat screens in their bar area and a few TVs for the dining area. It's a little out of the way, but the good food will make it worth while.

Good Service. Has a separate bar area. Very large menu. Fish Fry on Fridays is good, but also busy. Check out: foodspot.com/hhffrrrggh/… For anything you'd want to know about this place, including directions.

A smoke free restaurant and bar. Very good fish fry and home made pizzas'.
