Not impressed with the Hudson branch of this restaurant chain. When a group of four of us came out for breakfast on Saturday, it took awhile for the waitress to take our order then it took a half hour to get our food. Then one omelet had egg shells in it and another was made incorrectly. When it came time for the bill the waitress had not split the bill, leaving us to sort it out. At the register, no one knew how to split a payment correctly resulting in the wrong payments going on the wrong cards and we then had to exchange cash between ourselves to straighten it out. The staff overall was friendly, but please have the properly trained people in place and enough people on staff to handle a typical Saturday morning crowd!

Ugh. Is anyone over there reading their reviews? Do they realize this is customer feedback? Do they care? A few times a year I take an elderly friend out to breakfast. She always picks Perkins. This year, I convinced her to try Keys and it sucked. First of all, the waitress was a little rude to her, which drives me crazy. Be nice to old people, asshats! Secondly, she was the worst server ever. My friend asked three times for something easy to get and never got it. The second request, she blamed another server "Oh so and so was supposed to get that for me, I'll be right back." Nope. Food was okay, but no more Keys for me. I left a 5% tip with a note on the receipt "service sucked." But I get the feeling nobody cares.

It's...okay. I grew up going to the one on Larpenteur and Lexington which in my opinion is better just simply due to the service. This location has good food but it's over priced and some of the staff just downright sucks. If you have to wait and wait and wait for someone to seat you each and every time even though there are 5 people milling around behind the service counter, this place has issues. My best compliment is, I dig the pancakes. I even tried calling ahead once to let them know a group of seven was coming in within 20 minutes and if they could throw tables together. They said nope. First come, first serve. Okay, fine. We get there, no one pays any attention to us. From the time we walked in to when we finally sat down was 15 minutes. Was it busy? Nope. Crappy service.

I strongly suggest avoiding Keys cafe in Hudson. After a confirmed case of food poisoning from their restaurant I contacted the owner solely to let her know- not to ask for ANYTHING. She immediately discredited it (after being confirmed by 2 medical professionals) and was disgustingly defensive. Even after the bad food I would've still gone there but because the owner is a disgustingly rude (I can't think of a nice word to end this) she's lost my business and hopefully you'll reconsider giving her yours. Update. THREE MONTHS after this review and only being in contact once after the incident, the owner (Amy) took it upon herself to seek out my facebook profile, find my personal business page and write an erroneous review of my product. She has never been a customer of mine and did it completely out of spite. 3 months later.

I love all Keys, but was truly surprised by this one. I think it is the first Keys that I've eaten at that looks like a cafe. It is really nice inside and would be a place I'd hang out often if the river wasn't in the way. They have their baked goods which are worth dying for! I love their cakes and pies and was impressed when I saw they had a gluten free cake by the slice. I got a German chocolate cake, a half sheet was only $43 and it weighed a ton. You definitely get your money's worth for Keys cake.

We have eaten at several of the Keys locations. We were always very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. Unfortunately we can't say the same about the Hudson location. The food preparation was mediocre at best and the service was wanting. This location is a poor representation of Keys.

Im glad Keys in in Hudson. Dennys just isnt that great. I had the american breakfast with UDI bread and order bacon on the side. It wasnt remarkably...but it was spot on as what I expected for breakfast. Service is fine the place is clean and new inside. Makes this little strip mall very vibrant

stopped in for breakfast with the family after a night of camping.... nice and clean and sunny open windows. breakfast was good, healthy portions, home-made bread and home-made strawberry jam.... the waitress was great and overall the place was very nice.... I do have to say for breakfast thought it was a bit overpriced (hence the 3 stars and not 4)....$35 dollars for 2 adults and a child....at home the same breakfast (even with the home-made) would be around $20.... if we were in the region I would stop in again.... its a safe bet with good food.

Still my favorite place for breakfast on Hudson the best bacon and hash browns this side of the St.Croix and nice servers that are just the rite amount of friendly and grab a cake or pie on your way out they are great too!

The portion sizes are more than enough, plenty to take home. Tastes truly like home cooking. We love the name, since Keys is part of our family name.

My second one star It is very well deserved An hour for pancakes??? Keys is usually a high three or low four for me. One all the way today. Got there about one pm today. Fairly crowded but no wait for seating. Put in my order for pancakes and an apple juice right away. Waited and waited and waited. Felt like I was being ignored. It was 45 minutes in before one of the staff asked if I would like a refill and they walked past me constantly. About twenty minutes before my pancakes came out was told they are on their way shortly and it was completely dead at that point. Pancakes were nothing special. Is Log Cabin syrup out of the bottle really the best you can do? Did something I have never done before. Zero tip. Service was that bad.

i have stopped in here a couple times now because once in awhile I turn into a monster and have to have something sweet like pie or cake. The inside of this place could stand a little de-clutter action up in the front--I also think they have workers running around and not knowing what they are supposed to do. I did not care for my french silk pie it was too bitter and the crust was chocolate too. The white cake with strawberry frosting in the middle was good. Nothing was spectacular and I expect a certain standard from this local twin cities chain.

Well, I never thought this would happen. One star today for keys cafe in Hudson. Today chicken dumpling soup was under par. The piece of pie I had was frozen and I had a hair in my mashed potatoes. What else needs to be said.

Only reason I have one star is that the French Toast was decent. A Sunday in Wisconsin and they didn't even have the packer game on!! Come on idiots. Lady in charge needs to quit bitching at her employees about what they may or may not be doing right and get to work. Four people were in line to get seated and three were waiting to pay for over five minutes. Finally just left money and walked out. Will not return. The Keys family should be ashamed of this location and shut it down or get someone in there who can run it as good as the Woodbury location is run.

This place used to be our favorite place for breakfast but recently it has became a joke at best. Our service was awful the waitress seemed put out that we were there. It took an hour for us to get our which was hardly worth the wait. My omelet was greasy, it had burnt pieces of unidentifiable substance on it. His hashbrowns were raw in the center and his eggswich had obviously sat under a heat lamp or in a microwave for a long time. I am saddened by this recent down fall of Keys as we will not be returning to this location.

3 of us met at 10 am for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Yes, a busy time, but we got a table quickly and ordered our food. It took over 45 minutes for the food to come out. I asked to talk to the manager. She came out from a back room and basically said, "what do you expect for a Sunday morning? We are the number-one rated restaurant in the Twin Cities - so there....ya de ya-de yah...." She even challenged me on the time of our long wait for food. What I got was argument from an arrogant restaurant manager who couldn't even be out on the floor to run the place during a busy time. To make matters worse, one of our party is allergic to eggs and he ordered a veggie skillet specifically stating "allergy - no eggs". His skillet came out with eggs in it.. Got another argument. Good food if they get it right but lousy service will lose them at least 3 more customers.

I stopped in here yesterday and I really enjoyed my dining experience. I came here with my mom and we both had the Eggs Benedict. The sauce was good even if it was standard canned hollandaise sauce. I was able to cut through the ham which was nice - so often they cook the ham so much that it is impossible to cut and you end up with hollandaise sauce everywhere. Their hash browns were quite tasty as well. Crisp on the outside and warm and moist on the inside. The coffee was hot and tasty. They leave you a pot on the table so you can fill your cup at your own pace. The wait person we had was very good. Probably one of the best I have had in some time. She kept a constant eye on us but was never intrusive. I would definitely come back here again. The bakery case was loaded with temptation and I am always looking for a good burger so I would love to try their lunch and dinner menu as well.

This place is so good! The moment I walked in and got pleasantly greated by the hostess with a big smile I knew I was going to love the food. For those who enjoy a good eggs Benedict (and hate a not so good one), you will love breakfast at this place! Everything is made from scratch, from the french toast, down to the bread, down to the marmalade and jams. They have a wide selections of sweets and everything I tried there was very very good. The service is great, everyone was very nice and friendly. Go to my favorite server Penelope if you end up checking it out. Great for families, celebratory meals, and more!

I am so glad that Hudson got a Keys. Seriously the best breakfast in town. I love the omelets and the soup is DIVINE. I also love the reuben when I'm feeling extra fatty. The wait staff are all sweethearts too, so that definitely makes coming here before I've had my coffee a lot nicer. But the best part about Keys is you always have some to take home with you so you can enjoy it all over again. The baked goods are also really nice, especially the pie.

The food here was very average. Our waitress sucked. I think she was only there to take our orders and to give us the check. Oh yeah, and I also flagged her down because she gave me a side of toast and not hash browns? Not sure how you get the two mixed up. Especially because it wasn't that busy. Not sure if I would eat here again.

It was packed, but we got a booth and the service was still good. The food was good. Bring your appetite, the portions are large! Doesn't quite have the same "homey-Diner" feel as the other locations I have been to (St. Paul and Roseville), but I would go back. Great for breakfast, but it has some underrated sandwiches that are worth giving a try. The Monte Cristo is very good.
