After four days of buttery Midwestern grub, I was hankering for something fresh, so I ordered a veggie wrap. It was basically whatever was in the dinner salad in a wrap, but that was fine. They had stuff that wasn't fried, which made me super happy, given where I was in this grand country of ours, and the beer selection was tops. What made me a fan of this place, though, was the beer selection and the great service and terrific atmosphere. The boy's parents live here, and we spend every Thanksgiving in town with them, so we'll definitely make this a return visit when in the mood for a chill bar scene.

Order up front and pay up front even though you pretty much have a server. Staff are from Wisconsin so they are by default much nicer than most Americans, which is refreshing. Beer selection was about 20 taps, but only a few of these would be interesting to the beer explorer. Many were German imports for instance. Found some nice brews from Black Huskey and special stuff from Potosi. Pours were $5-7, which I thought was a tad high for the location. Food was very nice- fried cheese curds seem to be a Wisconsin staple. Hungarian slider was very good. So pretty upgraded pub grub, fish and chips and that sort of thing. Patio seating and large tables accommodated a diverse group of patrons. Overall, liked my time here and worth a quick stop in for lunch.

I am staying a fan of this place largely due to the very good rotating beer selections and the very knowledgeable bartenders. This place really is a beer drinkers haven. On a real down note, the place has a strange Right leaning vibe that typically would not affect me at all. However, behind the bar is a mirror that is a collection of bumper stickers including a few that are in just bad taste. The worst offender being "I'd rather shower at Penn State than vote for Obama" Is that a sentiment the bar owners really want to put out there? Pediophilia is funny?

Brother and I were looking for a towny bar for a burger and a beer and football. This place had it all. Quality was above expectations. Burgers were great and beer selection was awesome. They had a nice bloody bar that we didn't participate in. Great place for day drinking and lunch.

Homey feel with dependable food. I'm always dizzied by the beer selection, and want to join the mug club. Love the Hungarian Griller. Big menu with lots of options, and nice specials. Food is always fresh and tasty.

We tried this place the other night for the first time for a friday fish fry and were pleasantly surprised. The servings were good and they have their own spin on their fish fry. It was busy, and we ate and left so others could be seated.

It doesn't get more hometown than this. They have a rather large menu for a small place. The burgers are very good and fresh and very crispy french fries (love that). It is a homey, laid back atmosphere. The staff was very attentive with our drinks.

We are new to the area and we swung by with the kids today. Good burgers, fantastic beer selection and amazing kiddy cocktails per the kids. Bob was behind the bar and was a great conversationalist making us feel welcome and wanting to come back. Definitely worth a visit or two or three.

What a gem. My grandfather used to come here years ago when it was another name and under other ownership, but my dad and I were in the area and decided to pop in anyway. I was glad we did. I love the atmosphere, you feel right at home in the small but cozy space. The decor is also fun--very 'Sconnie. You've your mug club mugs hanging from every spare space, a ton of taps lining the walls and a chalkboard full of the many beers they carry. A pleasant surprise was the Bloody Mary bar, even on a Friday afternoon! (Full review at outforbloodies.com ). The service was also fantastic--I believe we were served by the owner's nephew, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of.

This place is great. They've got an extensive menu (almost too much) and everything is made to order, hot and tasty. Busy place! You seat yourself, if you can get a table, and order at the counter. Food comes out fast, too. Friendly folks who treat you right- the only drawback is it's almost too busy. Beer steins of regulars line the ceiling and there is hardly room for more. If you can score a seat, it's a great place to eat!

Been here a few times. You seat yourself and order at the counter. A bar atmosphere. The guy who took our order was acting as bartender server and cook. Quite the task for one guy. But on a Wednesday around lunch time the place is pretty quiet. The food was alright. The guy running the place at the time was very nice. I've heard they have a good fish fry. And there are always a lot of cars there on weekend nights.

Was in there yesterday. I didn't remember paying $10.99 for a burger and fries but everything is expensive these days. Our server/bar tender seemed a little unfamiliar with the menu options. She told me "nothing" comes with the signature burger only to then ask if I wanted chips or fries. Hmm... My beer tasted a little warm but was otherwise delicious. The burger was delicious. Overall a neat little place with lots of good beer.

Nom nom nom. Blue cheese burger and border burger were quite good. Homemade chips are excellent (don't forget to ask for a side of sour cream for dipping).

I love the beer selection, it constantly changes. They give you tasters of what's on tap or you can get an official flight. If you want food or drinks you need to order at the bar, no one comes out to take your order but they do bring the food to the table. Food was great! It's a cozy place, on a busier night, I could see it could get cramped. I've seen this place be super busy from the outside. People would even park in the school across the street! But sometimes it looks busier than it is.

This was the first time my wife and I stopped here. We came for lunch yesterday and we were immediately greeted with a complimentary basket of chips and salsa, nice start. The food ordering process was easily explained, since you need to get to one of the bar or counter registers. We each ordered a cup of chili and the day's special, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, one with homemade chips and one with fries. The chili was delicious - one of the best I've had. It has nice and hot with a little bit of a kick but not tongue burning. Onto the main lunch item - The Buffalo wrap was also spiced perfectly with generous portions of chicken in a larger wrap. The homemade chips are super light, crispy and NOT greasy - perfection. The fries were excellent and once again, NOT greasy. The cook/chef does a great job with seasoning and there is certainly no lack of flavor. The menu offers a wide range of items, from Mexican to sandwiches to burgers to ribs. We are definitely going back. I would like to try the smothered burrito which was described as huge. Can't wait.

This place really is great. Outstanding microbrewery menu. The owner is really passionate about beer and it shows. Food has been great as well. I love all of the different sliders. Haven't tried the pizza yet but it looks great as well. Order at the counter or bar and they'll serve the food to your table.

Love the food, atmosphere and staff. If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night get there early. They also do wonderful fundraisers for non-profits. Good people and always a good time. Owners Bob and Vicki always make you feel at home.

Tried a friday fish fry here. I was not impressed. The waitstaff walked past us many times and we had to ask to get service. The fish was gross, the tray had 3 different kinds of fish all different flavors and textures even though the menu said just cod. The fish was poor quality and I actually stopped eating it and just ate the fries and bread. The only reason it is getting a 2 star review instead of a one star is the wide selection of microbrews.

Stopped in for dinner this Saturday. You seat yourself and order at the bar. I got the Cajun chicken and my husband got a burger. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was very good. It is kind of like a northern Wisconsin bar--homey and friendly. Will definitely be back
