WOW! Pretty damn good veggie burger with a side of average at best sautéed veggies. Hubbie really like the cheddar cheeseburger and fries for thre!

This is an old fashioned style WI supper club that has changed ownership hands a few times over recent years. Under the current owners I have only visited for Sunday brunch and was not overly impressed. My visit included a saxophonist playing in the dining room. While this offers potential for a nice experience, the volume was at such a level you could not communicate with the members of your own table over the music. I'll give kudos to the bar area, especially the bloody mary bar. There's a nice view of Big Cedar Lake, albeit across the parking lot and roadway. The brunch selection was quite spotty. The pancakes were almost all uniformly overcooked to the point of being darkened around the edges. In contrast to the overcooked pancakes the bacon was undercooked and fatty on the ends. There was no dessert selection but the waitress did bring out warm sugar donuts. Unfortunately the donuts were hardened in spots. The made to order omelet bar was good and the preparer delivered to the table which was a nice plus. Our server was pleasant but did not once refill our emptied water glasses or offer to do so. Not really the restaurants fault but we were seated next to a couple where the man was wearing a sleeveless shirt. The restaurant offers a two for one coupon making this an inexpensive brunch but by doing so may lead to the sleeveless armpit haired gentleman seated next to us. The restaurant has potential and I wish the newer management the best of luck in establishing the business as a fine dining establishment. .

Under new management!! There is a tiki bar outside in the summer with grilled burgers, brats, chicken, and hot dogs served w/chips & pickle, perfect for taking on the boat! However the atmosphere on land is fun and light, so we ended up staying for a while. Margaritas and run runners frozen on tap...yessssssss!! Inside the food is fabulous!! Colossal shrimp rivals Butch's Steakhouse - mmmm. The tenderloin was firm on the outside and perfectly tender medium rare on the inside - delicious. All of our side vegetables weren't poured frozen out of a bag, they were fresh cut/trimmed and roasted WOW. All desserts are home made by the chef's grandmother and they're a fantastic finish to the dinner. Black bottom torte, key lime pie, and killer brownies w/ice cream - wonderful. Friday night action: truly good fish fry comments from those at my table, however I chose the Pan fried walleye. Comes lightly breaded and sautéed w/shrimp and cornbread stuffing...say what??? Really tasty!! Cool band also, great music and no cover ever! - I like that! I was really skeptical about the veggie burger, but on a third occasion ordered it, and again - was amazed at what great beefy flavor it had. 2 friends ordered the fish tacos, again...yummy. Noticed the advertising for Packer and other sports happenings - the bar is big enough to accommodate a crowd for those types of events with visible tv's from all seats. I haven't had the pizza, but friends who have told me it's a top rival to any in Washington County. So maybe next time combine the Packer game w/pizza and beers! Good wine, beer and cocktail selection as well! Something for me to remember for now is the staff is all new, so there are some bumps to get over, but I certainly don't mind if the food is good. They are extremely accommodating, plus - it's easier working with your server or bartender than criticizing. All that said, it's worth it, and I will be back!

So Padways... I feel the owner is a nice lady. I think she has a vision... I don't see it coming to fruition. Way too expensive. Slow service. Have been there a few times & it's just not worth the time or money spent. I won't return unless this establishment comes back down to earth.

Padway's is the old Cedar Lake Inn, sometimes the old timers call it the Linden Inn. It has been a fine old Wisconsin supper club that I grew up going to for many memorable meals. That experience waned when it was Wegner's, but now under Amy's watchful eye and attention to the kitchen, it is a true joy to dine at again. The fabulous "steak bites" appetizer with a nice glass of Merlot is heaven. They have the best artichoke dip I have ever tasted and the blackened cod on Friday is perfect. They do something special to their garlic mashed potatoes, so I always order them as a side. Our waitress Melissa was incredible and knowledgable about wine pairings as well. For dessert I'm stuck on the chocolate decedense ....WOW! We're having a dinner party for twelve there next week after having a super birthday party last month, every meal was timed to come out of the kitchen perfectly. Tonight I'm just going for a nibbly thing and to listen to their great live music in the bar. It's great to have the Grand Dame of Wisconsin Supper Clubs back for a whole new generation !

Came tonight thinking it was still Wegners. Found out it's been open just two weeks. Service still a bit slow, but will come back. Best garlic mashed potatoes I've had in Wisconsin. Had fried calamari appetizer. Needed a little salt & had to send back to get crispy, but good. Dinner salad was just romaine & some bagged spinach. Filets were well prepared & veggies fresh. Service was a bit slow, but only open two weeks & a Tuesday night, so not a big deal. As said earlier. We will come back.
