Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great pizza, excellent wings! The only problem I have with this place is the pricing. It is way way overpriced, especially the pizza. I would highly recommend the wings when they have their wing special. The wings are covered in the right amount of sauce, cooked perfect so they're not dried out and best of all, they're nice and big! We will be back for the wings, but not for the pizza. We've found Rounding Third in Franklin to be our go to place for pizza. Nice Italian sausage even for this non-sausage lover and lots of cheese. Way better deal for the price, just not as much of a selection of toppings as Ricardo's. Ricardo's has great specialty pizzas, just be ready to pay more for it.

Favorite pizza in the Greendale/Franklin area so far, fresh ingredients and great sauce.. The cheese garlic bread is also a favorite.
(4)Eileen D.
This place is always busy, and for good reason. Ricardo's has the best garlic bread I've ever had. We've only ever tried the pizza's as our entree, because they're so good that we don't want to order anything else. It's a constant toss up, but I think my favorite is the white pizza. We've also been to their pizza bar on Monday's and that's great as well, since they keep it stocked with different pizzas as well as garlic bread the whole time. The prices are all fair, especially for what you receive. The servers we have encountered are attentive, polite and accommodating, though sometimes it does take a while for them to refill your drink. Our only wish was that they were open earlier on the weekends, as we'd love to stop in for lunch.

Great pizza, ..the Italian salad had wilted lettuce like it was from a bagged lettuce from pick and save. The wait service was prompt, although the servers didn't look like they wanted to be there.also when we got up No one said thank you or come on back.all in all I rate this restaurant a 1 star for service and a 4 star for the pizza.

Downtown greendale is just so stinkin' cute. It's like a walk back in time when I see such a nice city center. Ricardo's is a very nice place. I felt extremely safe there- totally different from most places I frequent. The pizza is fantastic, the laughs are contagious, and the bartenders pour it proper. The sassy sara is my favorite drink that I tried, you would be foolish to not ask for it next time you are in.
(5)Ryan B.
Very tasty pizza and sandwiches. The shrimp and garlic bread appetizers were great as well. Very nice friendly service and a very attentive bar tender. Definitely recommend it!
(5)Matt W.
Tried it for the first time after hearing about its reputation for years. It did not disappoint. I'd defiantly put Ricardo's in the top 5 pizza restaurants in Southeast Wisconsin. Loved the online ordering system.
(4)Becky M.
Hands down best pizza I've ever had! Fantastic appetizers- especially the onion straws. Another favorite is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken- tender and delicious and the dressing is perfectly tangy. But you can't go here without trying the pizza- it's absolutely to die for. One caveat is the price. I just may be a cheapskate but I feel the food is a little on the high side. Regardless, every once in a while it's worth the splurge!

I really wanted to believe the hype on the pizza but it's just OK in my opinion because I have had better in the Milwaukee area. The place is in a great location, clean/nice looking dining area, and they have a good variety of food. Service was very good. I will re write this review after I try more pizza flavors as I will return based of the service. Prices were on the high side though, I have found better pizza for cheaper.

Best. Pizza. Ever. Even my three-year-old is ruined for all other pizza places. I can't count the number of people who have asked us where the awesome pizza comes from. It can take some time to get your carry out orders (45 minutes or more from the time you call), but that's just because it's busy since the food is so good!
(5)Chris P.
Another awesome resturant in the historic Greendale Village! Amazing pizza. And the deep fried eggplant, and seasoned potato wedges are to die for. Definitely worth checking out! Great service!
(5)Jax B.
Yum. I went to Ricardo's with a group of six on a Friday night. We knew there would be a wait and it was about 30 minutes before we were seated. Not too bad. The bar was packed. Luckily it was nice outside, so we hung out on a bench in front of the restaurant. The food was great. I had chive fries with ranch to start. They were good and hot. My portion of pizza was pepperoni and I enjoyed it. I will be back. Oh, it is true what one reviewer said about parking, there's not enough in front of the building. I was told there is parking in back though.

I can't believe all the years I've been in this area I have never stopped in at Ricardo's Pizza. Located in the scenic downtown of Greendale, it is just such a cozy hometown scene. My initial impression - WOW! The staff was so friendly and the food was fantastic. Went on a Monday night and it was the Pizza buffet night. I guess they serve all the pizzas that they make with the exception of the ones that have lettuce like BLT because it gets gross under the heat lights. Sat at a table right across from the buffet - can you say torture! I decided to order a burger (Which was GREAT!) and I was starving and that pizza was so close... would anyone notice a piece missing? Hmmm? But I refrained and watched everyone else come and load up their plates. Nightly specials seem like really good deals. Pizza buffet Monday, Wednesday Build Your Own Burger, etc I can't wait to go back. I may be bumping up my stars to five.

Ask for a sassy Sara martini and have a pizza - any pizza - thats what put Ricardo's on the map - their yummy pizza; thinner crust, zesty sauce (finger licking really). They have other faire there as well - traditional appetizers (the fried eggplant strips are great); really good panini on tasty ciabatta bread; pasta dishes; big cheeseburgers and great red wine to wash it all down with. They have a small little outside eating area next to the village fountain. inside is nice, well lit in the dining area and a bit darker in the bar area. They usually close by 11 but will stay open longer if there are a lot of people having a good times. Certainly worth your time and money to check out - if you are just picking up there is a back entrance where you can pick up your delicious pizza.
(4)Randy L.
OMG, I've been going to Ricardo's Pizza for decades. LOVE this Pizza. Most always get the Deluxe Pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives. They moved a few doors down when downtown Greendale was remodeled many years ago, Funny thing that happened is that Rick bought new pizza ovens for the new location but returned them and moved the original ovens (that you could see near the front doors at the original location) so that the Pizza would take right, nice. I also like the crispy thin crust and the tangy sauce they have!! I strongly recommend this place. Only problem is the long wait times on Friday and Saturday nights, best to come very early.
(5)Kari M.
Great pizza, great pasta, great prices! Monday night pizza buffet isn't the greatest. Order off the menu instead!
(4)Keith M.
I have been to Ricardo's a couple of times. Thankfully, I do not live in Greendale, as it pretty much is the only restaurant in town. If you go here, the only thing worth getting is the pizza. I have had some appetizers and main entrees, but I would suspect most of the food is just frozen and then reheated for adequate, but ultimately unsatisfiable consumption. All of the appetizers I have ordered here were so hot, I burned my mouth. The pizza was not bad, maybe even slightly better than average. If I lived nearby, I would likely get a takeout pizza every now and again. The pizza topping were fresh. It is odd that everything else on the menu is not fresh. The service is always friendly, with bubbly Greendale grads smiling as they serve you. The prices are in line with typical bar food type places. Overall, Ricardo's is a pretty much run-of-the-mill, nothing special to see kind of place. The pizza is the only bright spot in this dull, flavorless dining experience.
(2)Kathy G.
Ricardo's has really good pizza. It is cooked perfectly and the sauce is tasty. I've had many pizzas where the sauce was either too sweet or too spicy but this is just right. The thin crust on this pizza is done the way pizza was meant to be. On Monday nights, Ricardo's had all you can eat pizza night and it was a good way to try different toppings. This is where I fell in love with red pepper, green olive pizza. It's so good. The bruschetta is also very good. The restaurant itself is not that appealing. It's small and crowded and the large strip-mall windows make you feel like you're on display. The bar is small and the restaurant layout could use improvement, nothing seems to flow well. Even though the food is good, this place is too expensive.
(3)Jill S.
I live in California now and cannot find any pizza that can compare to Ricardo's. Pizza out here just isn't the same. I have eaten at Ricardo's soooo many times and I absolutely love it. The thin crust is key! Both the pizza and garlic bread are fantastic. Haven't tried anything else on their menu though. I highly recommend sausage and onion for the perfect pizza topping. That's my personal favorite. You must try Ricardo's pizza at least once if you live in the area (on their sister restaurant - Riverfront Pizzeria - in the Third Ward)...but if you try it once, you'll definitely be back for more! Please note that it is ALWAYS very busy. You should always expect to wait. To me it is very very worth it. Delicious! Oh, and I can't remember which day it is, but once a week they have an all you can eat pizza buffet.
(5)Wendy W.
Best pizza!!!! Try the BLT pizza, sounds strange but super delish!
(5)Pat D.
Ricardo's Pizza does the kind of volume that means fresh food is on your plate. We have lived in Greendale for 20 years, and Ricardo's has been our favorite pizza place since then. Yes, Milwaukee does have some other great places to find pizza, but Ricardo's is in the heart of the village, and those who live nearby know how great the food is. I have had just about everything on the menu, but we always go back to their pizza. If you are in the mood for salad, their spinich salad is great. The deluxe pizza with sausage is probably their best, but you may want to try their taco, or hamburger pizza. They really are "Taco" and "Hamburger" pizzas. I'm talking a taco on pizza dough or a hamburger constructed on pizza dough. Yum. Yes, the resturant is a bit cozy, but I like that feel. The burgers are big, their chicken sandwiches are fresh, and wait staff is attentive.
(4)Nathan V.
Killer za, always top shelf.

Incredible pizza. Pizza has been one of my favorite foods for well over 35 years. Although my favorites are Chicago deep dish from Chicago pizza restaurants, Ricardo's pizza is superb, but not deep dish. One of my favorites is the Mediteranean, another is of course CSMO (cheese, sausage, mushroom, onion). It's always packed for dinner, so you may need to wait - they give you pagers, and have a bar. It's a little pricey, but it is excellent. You may want to try the all-you-can eat on Mondays - not sure if that is still going on, but it is a screamin deal.
(5)Kristina S.
While I'd never leave Chicago and return 'home' to Wisconsin, I do miss you Ricardo's and being able to walk across the street from my Greendale Original townhouse to indulge in your delicious thin crust pizza. Ricardo's is pretty much ALWAYS packed but it's worth it. It can get pretty loud so if you're looking a quiet dinner - yeah, not so much. If you dine early enough, walk across the street for a big honking marble-top custard from Ferch's for dessert. Ahh, Greendale. I do miss your quaintness ever so much.
(4)Paul S.
Good pizza, TV's aplenty, good bar, and its Greendale. What's-not-to-like?!? Great place to get a 'za. watch the Brewers/Packers, or have a little league party. Ferch's is right across Broad Street too. Love me some Ricardo's for sure.
(4)Ryan J.
This place has the finest pizza in the Greendale area! The restaraunt is clean, fresh, and usually packed. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the pizza is on the expensive side (over $20 for a family size pizza) and on RARE occasions the pizza either doesn't have enough sauce or is overseasoned. If you haven't tried Ricardo's, TRY THEM. They have REALLY good pizza!
(4)S M.
Good pizza, overpriced. Terrible service. We were seated and waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged by a waitress. If you have a coupon, stick to carryout.
