Great food. Wonderful service and Jack making great drinks in the bar. It doesn't get much better than that. We had a table of eight and received remarkable service. We all ordered different entrees and there wasn't a complaint at the table. Thank you Mary and Jack and of course our wonderful server Carol for a great evening out! Barbara V

I had dinner last week at The Wellington with my wife and parents. After having drinks at the bar, we were taken to our table in the dining room. The decor is somewhat evocative of an old country club library; a bit old-fashioned, but fairly elegant. Our meals were proceeded by crusty bread with herbed dipping-oil. We shared an order of crab cakes, which were meaty and delicious, and garnished with crispy fried kale. For my entree, I got the specialty of the house, Beef Wellington. This is a classic dish, and it was made to perfection. The pastry was crispy, the steak was cooked to the proper temperature, and it was accompanied by a slice of luscious foie gras. The Wellington has seemed to have been trying to revamp its image recently to become a more modern dining experience, and in my opinion the changes are welcome and successful. I'll definitely return.

My wife, her sister and I came to dinner a couple of Fridays ago and were truly delighted. We arrived when the doors opened for the evening and had the place to ourselves for the first half hour. Mary, who owns the Wellington with her husband Jack, welcomed us in and seated us beside a bay window where we could see Lambeau Field in the distance. The room has a beautiful old English comfort to it and we immediately relaxed, relieved of the stresses of the day. Mary and our waitress, Kelley, were friendly and engaged us in enjoyable conversation. Kelley was very knowledgeable about the menu items and the specialties of the day. My wife and her sister split a filet-lobster combo and I had the Chilean sea bass. Both were exceptional, as was dessert. Our evening was turned into a special occasion and we will return.

We tried the Wellington about 6 years ago and had a terrible experience. We vowed to never return. We had heard that they made some changes and decided to give it another try....so glad we did! This experience was far better than our last. We did go on a Thursday evening so it wasn't very busy. Our server was very kind, knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the crab cakes so we had them as an appetizer - they were delicious and the kale served with them was the wonderful! We both had steak and it was cooked perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised with the dinner and will be back!

Ok so I'm not sure how a steak house runs out of steak but I experienced it for the first time. We had a table of 8 and after 25 minutes we finally were able to order and 6 of us ordered the NY Strip. After another 20 min they waitress comes back to reveal that they are now out of strip steaks so we ordered rib eyes. After another 20 min the waitress comes back to again reveal that " surprise" they are out of rib eyes. How the "F" DOES A STEAK HOUSE RUN OUT OF STEAK?!?!?! They also ran out of the wine we were Drinking and iceberg lettuce. How is this place still in business????? Serivice was terrible. Ambiance was terrible. It takes a lot for me to write a review like this but it has to be done. Get your sh*t together Wellingtons.

I've had many great meals in Green Bay but the Wellington by far exceeds them all! I love the service I love that all the meals were creative inventive and tasty. The chef has done amazing job making every dish stick around for dessert it's all homemade in-house!

I had wanted to visit The Wellington for a while because a good friend said it was one of his Dad's favorite restaurants, and when we finally made on 9/12/14, we were not disappointed! The service was friendly, timely and professional, and the food was wonderful! My girlfriend is from Florida, is VERY particular about her seafood, and she loved her twin lobster tails. My cowboy steak with the blue cheese crust was fantastic--done to perfection and every mouth-watering bite was a little bit of heaven! We will definitely be back!

We went there with two other couples. The place was empty, only one other table had two customers. The waitress had the personality of a brick. She acted like she was too busy for us. Food is not worth the price. I had scallops and only received 3 small scallops on risotto for $28. Place is old money and dingy. Seating is worn out and low to the table. Bartender poured beer with a 2" head so you felt like you only had half a glass. Wine we ordered was out. Don't waste your time and money on this place. To add to the frustrating experience, the waitress added a automatic 20% gratuity on the bill for our group of six, which definitely wasn't worth it.

This was our first visit to Wellington in almost twenty years and we were long overdue! The service was outstanding. We were coming from a late show at the Weidner Center and kept them a little late. The staff was nothing but cheerful about it. The food was also outstanding. We split a scallop appetizer to start, then we decided to go for signature dishes for dinner. My wife opted for Scallops Wellington, while I had Beef Wellington. Both were perfectly cooked. We will definitely travel back to The Wellington from Oshkosh again, and it sure won't take another twenty years!

Went back with a friend that insisted on meeting there for lunch Saturday. Again, bad service and I can't get past all the ugly busy oak wood! Why would they "remodel" this place and date it back into the 80's!?!

We had not been here in over five years. It was wonderful! The service was excellent from the bar to the dinning room. Nice friendly staff. We all ordered steaks, based on the bartenders recommendation and they were VERY good! The road construction does make it a little challenging to get to but, it's so worth the detour! Our next trip will be sooner than later!

Fine dining, romantic, delicious. There is always something fun and interesting on the menu that I am anxious to try. If you're looking to impress someone or go somewhere special, try the Wellington!

My husband and I went for our anniversary and the only item good was the appetizer. Waitstaff was horrible. I ordered veal and it was the toughest piece of meat I have ever eaten. My husbands sea bass was excellent, but portion was so small for the price. Will not EVER return.

Outstanding steaks, service and drinks. We hadn't been to The Wellington for a long time, then gave it a try a few months ago. Have been back several times since. The bar is a perfect place to relax for a cocktail or wine before dinner. The steaks are prepared exactly as ordered. Last night had tenderloin wrapped in bacon, melted in my mouth. We also had a brussel sprout side dish, not normally a vegetable I'd order but it was delicious. Servers are friendly and attentive. We'll be back again soon.

Went to the Wellington for the first time. It was a mid week business dinner and we didn't arrive until after 7, the place was slow and quiet which added to a classic elegant feel. Their was 1 waitress for the 3 groups there, she did great, kept the wine coming and made sure we had everything we needed. While it isnt hard to spend 50$ a person, the food was not over priced for the quality. Everything was cooked properly to our requests and flavorful. The dishes might lack modern creativity, but overall the menu easily accomodates all the essentials you would expect from a steakhouse.

I have been here a few times with my family to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. The food was amazing, especially the tenderloin. The bar and restaurant have a very relaxing atmosphere, and the staff is quite friendly. I recommend going here if you want to treat yourself to something a little more special.
