One dried-out, rock-hard biscuit for my "biscuits" (plural) and gravy? Not cool. Service a bit pokey for the manageable amount of customers. On the positive, they provide to go cups for your coffee.

Went there last night. It was ok. I really wished I went somewhere else instead for my bday. It was so EXPENSIVE. Even with a bday discount (free meal) our food was still $76 with tip. We ordered 2 $25 dish, one app. 1 wine and 2 spotted cow. and one dessert. WOW..the portions were ok. the service wasn't great either. The waitress seemed upset and we tried to cheer her up by saying thank you and being extra nice to her but it didn't work until we left. We didn't get our bread...she told us we get bread also but never got any. Food was ok. Very small portion for the price. I regret not trying another place for the price. I don't think my entree was free.

The restaurant is inside the Holiday Inn, and naturally I did not have high expectations coming in here. The first thing you notice (at lunch time anyway) is that the customers have likely all seen the Packers winning their first championship, and may not live to see their next one (they are REALLY OLD). I ordered the pork loin and it was just okay. They riverfront view is dominated by the manufacturing plants on the other side of the river. As the other reviewers have said, the service is spotty, especially considering the restaurant was mostly empty.

This is a review for breakfast only. I stayed in this Holiday Inn recently and had breakfast before I checked out. Service was very mediocre. I walked into the restaurant and the hostess/manager didn't even greet me; just continued to count checks and ignored me. I was going to just tell her that I saw my coworker and she didn't need to seat me. But I guess she had ESP and didn't need to greet a customer who already had a table. The waitstaff was ok too. Waiter was quick to come over and ask if I wanted a large or small juice. If you ask for a small, he just fills the glass halfway. Later on, I had to flag him down just to get him to pay the check. On the way out, no "goodbye" or "thanks for coming" from the hostess. The food was good. I had the biscuits and gravy and I have to say that it was a very good, possibly top 3 I've ever had.

This is a restaurant inside the Holiday Inn. They get a lot of local business, so the parking lot is often full. The food is good but the service is poor. There is a salad bar with dinner and a brunch bar on weekends. The pasta is soft.

The River Room is one of the nicer restaurants in Green Bay that doesn't cost you your first born. Ahi tuna is one favorite and it is always done a perfect rare. The steaks are cooked to perfection. The pastas are pastas. Our favorite cajun shrimp and chicken pasta was dropped from the menu but if the kitchen isn't too busy, they will make it for us. The salad bar is small but very adequate and always fresh. The bread is always hot and tasty. Yes, you can't eat the table cloth but, the linens are lovely as is the view. Another great thing is that the entertainment in the bar area doesn't blast you out of your seat. We always enjoy our dining experience at the River Room.
