I can honestly say I've never had something here I haven't liked. My favorite meal is the southwest wrap or the chicken club salad. Staff is always friendly (especially the core group) and this place has very nice regulars too.

Awesome bar food. Seperate dining Area if you don't wanna be in the bar. Chicken Tortilla soup is pretty amazing. Must try! Never had any problems with food prep or the service there which has always been friendly! Definately keep coming back.:)

It's bar food and it's just ok. There was nothing bad about the food here, but nothing special either. The staff was nice and friendly. The prices were reasonable. Even writing this review seems boring.

My favorite restaurant on the planet. I have been here dozens of times and NEVER tasted something that wasn't delicious. Hanley's has the best fish fry I've ever eaten. The burgers are the best I've eaten. Same with the french fries. And the Chicken Tortilla Soup. I have brought roughly a dozen different people with me in my various visits to Hanley's, and everyone was impressed (consensus is very rare among my friends and family members). The service is usually very good. There is one waitress who I find a bit creepy because she stares at people too much, but I'll put up with it for the food. I do agree that the back room is far too cold during the winter, but if you ask them to turn up the heat, they will.

I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed my meal. The fries are good and the portions generous. My only issue is that the back dining room is always cold.

I recently ate at Hanley's on a Saturday evening, it wasn't overly busy in the bar area and we were able to get a seat right away. The waitress was friendly and attentative, the food arrived quickly too. We both ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which was great! It actually had a decent amount of kick to it, which is often lacking in other pubs buffalo-inspired items. The wrap was nice and hefty too, I ended up eating the whole thing because I was starving that night. But it could easily be split, especially if you order the fries- giant portion of fries. I also had the cole slaw and it was ok, nothing to rave about but I'll definitely be back for that wrap again and the beer. They had a couple beers on special that night plus plenty of TVs on the wall for sports watching.

I'm surprised I haven't posted a review for Hanley's yet since I'm always here when I'm in town. They have an amazing Friday fish fry! This afternoon, we stopped in for lunch. After much thought about what to order I got the rib basket. I love their ribs, they fall right off the bones. My mom ordered the smoked turkey ciabatta which is one of my favorites so I was quite happy when she wanted to do halfsies. I got to enjoy the ribs, and the turkey ciabatta. Their chicken tortilla soup has just the right amount of kick to it. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I've come in for many lunches and dinners dining in the back or at one of the high tops in the bar area. Always a fun place to go!

I met here for my book club in September '14. The food was fine (SW chicken wrap, chips/salsa, and quesadilla), but the service - ai yai yai! I will refrain from identifying the server, but she made a face every time we ordered or made a request (water please?). She was completely humorless and brought me back a handwritten list after I asked what flavors of Absolut they had at the bar. There were only 4 flavors available - shouldn't you know them?! (As an aside, they used to have amazing onion rings, but they no longer are on the menu, boo!) My friends and I were laughing about it, but our presence clearly seemed to put her out. Get your act together, Hanley's!

Neither I, nor my family or friends have eaten here in the last three years after a service dispute with the owner. She can be very particular and will hold a grudge for a long time. Food is OK, but beware if you arrive at 9:30 and ask for chicken nachos - even regulars who spent $$$ weekly are told no. Ambience is just ok; dark but not sleazy, and the back dining area is a bit better. Would fit better in the North woods than South suburbs.

The waitress was very rude and snobby. And I guess you can't wear flip flops you need to totally have your feet covered. Additionally, the food is not that good. The bar is small and conerish. Sorry, but I didn't feel welcomed.

Had a fish fry.....obviously poor restaurant grade fish dropped in the fryer.....soup tasted canned....service was so-so. Will not go back...
