Excellent breakfast. Great biscuits and gravy. Oatmeal served with raisins, brown sugar and milk. Super friendly staff and very fast service for a breakfast. Great coffee too!

Solid, standard breakfast - no bones, about it. They do a good job with cooking. This was my first time there, and as friends live in town, I will be back for sure. Service left something to be desired, but I do know that life moves slower where the view is beautiful, so I can't fault them too much.

This place was phenom. Great cervix on a very busy day. Super grateful for Barb and her staff. I didn't see spagett on the menu but they gave me marinara sauce on my omelette.

Great food, great prices, ridiculous sized portions. Home style cookin with plenty of daily pie/dessert options. I always get the Eggs Benedict with American fries, can't go wrong.

Barbs cafe is the best!!! I love their food and I'd eat there everyday if I could!!! It's what I always looks forward to when I come up here!! Any one debating on going there should be prepared to pay for the maybe-alittle-too-expensive-bill but the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TO DIE FOR FOOD!!!!!!!!

I don't know what it is about Barb's that keeps me coming back. It's such a small simple diner, but the food is excellent and the service is always fast and friendly. I have been here hundreds of times and never once had a bad meal. Breakfasts are the best, with big portions and awesome homemade breads. Their lunch menu is great too, love the ciabatta bread burgers and OMG waffle fries! I've been coming for years and will keep coming back.

Best service we had at any restaurant in the UP or northern WI. Located along the main strip of shops on US2-141 in downtown Florence, this diner has a timeless feel to it. Very popular and crowded at breakfast, we decided to come here for a late lunch on two separate trips coming up north. When we came for lunch, it wasn't as packed, with only a large group of motorcycle riders who came for lunch too. However, it does not embody the "biker establishment" stereotype. It's a bright place with friendly people. A high school-aged girl served our table and she was polite and friendly to us. Barb's Cafe has a long counter with stools and separate booths in the restaurant. I tried one of their burger and it was excellent and nicely topped, nothing wimpy about it. My wife picked Swedish chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar on top. Excellent too. There was so much that we had leftovers for the next day's breakfast. My kids chose not to be adventurous and went for the safe choice of mac and cheese, which is the usual Kraft variety from the look of it. They weren't disappointed either. Prices are very reasonable. I also got a jug of maple syrup they sell at the counter. For the price, you'd pay about double that for the same syrup in Chicago. They also sell eggs from local farms at the counter too. It's become our spot for lunch in Florence for future runs up north when going on vacation.

Eaten at Barb's many times. Always great food and fun servers. Like eating in Mom's kitchen.

Great place. Family owed and worked. Supper friendly and really good food. Had the country omelette and we plan on being back soon.

One and only time in Barb's. Great local town experience, food was very good and staff was courteous and quick. It really is a family run business and it shows. Great home made soups. Good food value for the price.

Barb's cafe is your typical small town restaurant. Breakfast has always been reasonble and decent. For a small seating area, there are usually enough waitresses. I do find that the second section in the back is not advertised and those walking in seeing a full house do not know it's back there and leave. For those late morning arrivals, you may not get a seat during the busy times (ie. hunting season, etc.). So get up earlier or go for lunch. I do find the lack of hair nets on kitchen staff and cleanup staff a bit disconcerning. Items coming from the kitchen are put on a counter in que for the waitress and all the girls have long hair.

Good food & good service. Pleasant atmosphere. Layed-back family restaurant.
