    An unassuming spot off the main drag in Ellison bay. Huge fun bar with seasoned tenders making friendly convos with locals. Menu had traditional pub fare, but included more extensive meals like prime rib after 5. Real standouts here are the extensive beer and whiskey menus. Unique IPAs and seasonal taps from dozens of breweries. We stopped in for a late snack of afternoon nachos and beers. Nachos were loaded with fresh toppings, and included a great house made pico. We will return!!

    Casual atmosphere. We ate outside on the deck. Lilacs were in bloom. Chicken nachos were great. I had a burger and my husband had the chicken. Both were cooked just right. Juicy and flavorful. I was surprised how great the burger tasted. We would go back again!

    We both had the turkey cheese sandwiches with the fries. It was busy but the service was great and the food came out if the kitchen pretty quick! Make sure you eat here at least once!

    I had a cheeseburger & fries in the bar, and the food & service were good - not great, but just what I expected this far north in Door County during a snowy April weekday. The staff seems very friendly and the decor is comfortably casual.

    Food is a 4 - 4.5, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because overall experience was good. Inside is very, very stereotypical "townie bar" look, so if you're expecting 5 star ambiance, this is not your place. If you're not turned off by that, then good, because this place has some great food and an really reasonable beer selection! Highly recommend the whitefish basket and the potato salad or coleslaw. Pot roast sandwich was pretty good, too. Waitress also said their burgers are good, but we just had burgers the night before so skipped that. Looks like they had a game room toward the back. Visit Mink River Basin if you want some traditional American food and a very casual atmosphere. We'll return here on our next trip to the door.

    We stopped in for dinner after leaving Washington Island. It's a quaint little bar with a large dining room. We sat in the small dining room near the bar. Our waitress wasn't the most pleasant person I ever met, but was polite and not rude. I ordered a Basin Burger and fries. This was a 1/3 pound burger fried with mushrooms, onions, and cheese, served on a toasted bun with tomato, lettuce, and pickles on the side. This could have made my best burger list if they would have only used a little salt when cooking it. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, but was bland. The fries were nothing to brag about,

    Overall a very good restaurant. Food was a little expensive but portions were big and the food was delicious. I'd recommend to anyone who was up here.

    I have driven by this place about a hundred times and always wanted to stop in--there is something about the way it looks--an older, unpretentious, and cool looking exterior combined with the supper club moniker made me think it would have some character. On a recent trip we dropped by for an after dinner drink one night and then decided to return the next night for dinner. The service was friendly--we liked the waitress and bartender--but the food was lackluster and we definitely did not feel like we got what we paid for. We started with the salad bar which was fine for what it was--small but with all of the staples and two choices of soup. We ordered a bucket of shrimp for the appetizer and while it tasted all right, the shrimp were really really soggy--we had to ring them out before eating them. I imagine they had been defrosting in cold water until about a minute before they came out in the bucket. My wife ordered a "potato crusted" whitefish. We should have known better as the waitress made a point of warning us that the potato crust was potato chips. The fact that she had to provide the disclaimer made it obvious that other people had complained before, probably that night. My wife really wanted the whitefish though, so she went ahead and ordered it. The waitress wasn't joking. I thought she meant that the potato crusting was made with potato chips, but it in fact was potato chips. It looked and tasted like they had poured out the bottom of a ruffles bag over the fish before baking. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't so wonderful either. I ordered the shrimp and veggies over pasta. When my dish came out there was a plate of shrimp and veggies, but no past underneath. (Really???) I asked the waitress if I had misread the menu.(Not sarcastically--I really thought I must have). Nope, there was supposed to be pasta. She took the dish back to the kitchen. So my wife had her food and I didn't have mine. My dish came back out pretty quickly, but I was not impressed with the meager amount of pasta mixed in with what they had already made for me. When I think of something served as a pasta dish, there is a solid base of noodles, not just a couple of bow ties thrown in the mix. The waitress said she would take a dollar off the bill, due to the mix-up (a dollar???), but I told her not to worry about it. Altogether, it wasn't awful or anything--we both finished our plates--but as we walked out we had that feeling of "ehhh..." I really wanted to like this place--the old fashioned double entrance for dining room on one side and bar on the other was a great start. Maybe we just came on an off-night. We will probably be back for drinks, although we would need some convincing for the dinner.

    Great service, great bar! This is old school up north Wisconsin. Try the cowboy burger with cheddar! Tell the bartenders "pork chops with corn".

    My boyfriend and I took a weekend to go camping in Door County a few months ago and found this place during a crappy thunderstorm that stalled out outdoor activities. WOW. At first we were at this little bar/restaurant across the street but were really looking for an old pub with some nice bar food. After leaving the other place, we were about to head back to the tent, but decided to stop in here. At first I was a little thrown off because on the sign it said "Supper Club". I really just wanted to sit at a low key bar, have a nice beer, and get some appetizers. When we walked in, there was a large dining hall to the left, but to the right was a comfortably filled bar with the TV's on and people watching the London Olympics. It wasn't filled with rich stuffy people vacationing for the weekend, which is something we were trying to get away from. Overall, we had finally found our place. We sat down at the bar which was pretty much at capacity and took at look at the beer selection. Right off the bat, the beer on tap was a mix of craft, imports and domestics. Finally, a place where I could get a nice craft beer on tap. We took a look at the menu and noticed they had chicken wings. I had been craving chicken wings for a month or so, so I was really happy to be able to try a new place and what they had to offer. When we got them, they looked amazing.... And they were, the best chicken wings, we had ever had. I kid you not. Perfectly spiced, a light crispness on the outside, good quality chicken. It was heaven. I did not want to leave, I wanted to order another basket but I was soo full. Above all else, come here to try the wings. The staff was super nice, the ambience was comfortable, and the prices were decent. Next time I in Door County, I'm coming here.

    This funky night spot has EXCELLENT nachos. I have tried them twice now and am amazed at the size and flavor of this tasty dish which is more than enough for two people. You have a choice of chicken or beef. Both are good. Sit on the bar-side rather than in the dining room. It is a bit noiser (depending on the juke box pics) but it has A LOT more atmosphere. Make sure you ask for a side of guacamole.

    Good home made soup. Great selection of beers. Not many taverns in Doory county seem like locals hang out there and this one does. Very loud but fun atmosphere. Friendly staff.

    I was here this past weekend. I stopped in for lunch and grabbed a couple of pints of New Glarus Spotted Cow and a fried whitefish sandwich which was just crispy enough on the outside and juicy on the inside with tartar sauce tomato and lettuce on a locally baked roll. The beer was great I had never had one before I hope to find it in Chicago. From what i was told the fish was fresh and locally caught which was also tasty. The jukebox had a lot of 70's and eighties rock and country tunes which made me feel at home but also had some 311 and Bob Marley. Since this was at the tip of 42 it seemed to be out of the touristy area which I also liked. Besides the shock of seeing the White Sox pick up Jake Peavy on the tv I was also shocked to see that my bill was only $27. For you smokers you are actually able smoke inside while having your drink but it was ventilated enough that it shouldn't bother non-smokers. If I come back I will definitely stop back for 2,3,4 pints.
