Stayed with John and Karen with a bunch of my friends and attended a wedding at nearby Camp Wandawega. This place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. I spent a morning reading out in a shady garden spot and it was divine. My bed was very comfortable and all the rooms are very nice, clean and homey. John and Karen are amazing food artists, making breakfast daily with herbs fresh from their garden. They took pity on my in my caffeine-deprived state each morning, serving as much coffee as I could possibly handle. Bacon was perfectly crispy and everything was just wonderful. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet place to get away from it all, I can't recommend Ye Olde Manor House enough@

Had a great time last weekend at YOMH. I was a little nervous; I'd never stayed in a B&B before and I had a hard time imagining sharing someone's home as opposed to the usual, impersonal hotel stay we're used to. But it was so much more comfortable. The owners John and Karen really want your stay to be as relaxing as possible. And sharing the space with other guests with whom you can converse over a lovely breakfast is so enjoyable. My sister and I were there for a the Dave Matthews Band shows at Alpine Valley, so we were a little outside the typical demographic (the other guests were all couples), but they made the Terrace View room up as twin beds for us. It was right beside the dining room (so if you choose this room, know that you will be up around 8:00 when breakfast is served), very close to the gorgeous indoor pool and garden on the main floor away from the other guests. Really happy we made the decision to stay here instead of Lake Lawn Lodge, where we've stayed the past several years as it got worse and worse. This is a gem.

We stayed at Ye Olde Manor during a trip to visit friends staying at Camp Wandawega. We had such a wonderful time here - every morning something new and different (and delicious) for breakfast, great conversation with John and Karen, swam in the pool, walked around the beautiful yard, and relaxed with a glass of wine near the pond in the back yard. It was a perfect getaway spot. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Wisconsin!

While the B&B has 60 reviews on TA, I thought I would add one here. I found a stables in nearby Eagle that uses Kettle Moraine State Park trails for cantering and trots but I wanted to make a weekend of my trips so Ye Olde Manor was perfectly located and competitively priced. The indoor pool is a unique bonus, especially on cool evenings, but the manor house rooms, common areas, gourmet breakfasts and most especially John and Karen make the experience one of peace and conviviality. They are an interesting and very gracious couple who are also involved in healthy food products and the local foodie community, like the Kitchen Walk each year. The beds are so comfy - multiple pillows and down comforters - and the nights so quiet that I sleep in, even when I intend to get up at dawn like I do at home. This was my second stay in a month and I told Karen that they are my "go to" inn for riding and country weekend! My favorite rooms are the Rising Sun, Garden View and Rubye.

A beautiful B&B. Gorgeous grounds, indoor pool, delicious breakfasts and the most gracious innkeepers. A must if you're looking for a place to stay.

Let me begin by saying I am a hotel girl, so the thought of a bed and breakfast was not thrilling in the least!! But I was participating in a small retreat being held at this location, so I had to take one for the team. In short, this B&B is PHENOMENAL!! The place is homey, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, and the bathrooms were PRIVATE (no sharing here)! Although there were no in room TVs (I told you I was a hotel girl), there are several cable ready TVs around the house to use. PLUS, there is a heated indoor pool! And I must admit this was some of the most peaceful and sound sleep I've ever had. I guess it helped not to have the noise and light of the TV while sleeping. The icing on the cake are the GREAT owners, a husband and wife team! They are the nicest and most thoughtful people and are a joy to talk to. We discussed everything from the book the husband is working on about his former NYC life to their expansive garden on the grounds. I would definitely return!!

This place is a real gem! My friends and I went to see a show at Alpine Valley and they booked the entire B & B! It was wonderful and have to just thank the wonderful owners!!! They are also expanding - indoor pool and adding several rooms. If you are looking for an adorable and cozy place to get away, this was just lovely! We had the run of the place and the owners made us the best breakfast in the morning!
