Our waitress was polite, friendly, but very nervous. That was the best thing that I can say about this experience. Problems started with an order of chili that was served fairly cold (had a good flavor otherwise). After that was taken back, we were served decaf coffee that the grounds had somehow gotten into. After that was sent back, the second round did not come until after the meal was complete. We ordered the New York Strip and Chicken and Waffles. The New York strip was ordered medium rare and came out very well done (after over an hour wait). The chicken and waffles didn't look the best, but tasted OK. That is until we found out they have some sort of homemade spicy chili syrup concoction that they had no label or notice of (from looking at it, you could not tell the difference between it and maple syrup). They comped and did their best to make us feel better about the situation, so I would be willing to try it again if I see they figure out somethings, but I really don't have much good to say beyond that at this point.

I usually give a new business a break but this was ridiculous. They were out of three types of wine and Budweiser beer. At one point the waiter checked to see if they were out of a wine. He found they were and didn't check back to see if there was something we would want instead. We had to flag him down after a long wait. The service was very slow but the waiter seemed nice enough. We would have liked to have seen a better beer selection. They are very weak on alcoholic beverages it seems. The food was inconsistent- ribs were good but had a back membrane on the meat that is usually removed, the cole slaw was good, carrots had an odd taste that made them inedible, catfish was good, mashed potatoes were OK but the gravy flavorless. Cheese curds had a great light crunchy coating but seemed more like cheese pieces than curds. Salads were served with the entree. It would have been nice if they were served first. Minor problem compared to the poor experience we had overall. We might come back if we begin to hear good things but there is a lot of room for improvement.

I really hate to do this to a brand new business but I was very underwhelmed with my meal. I know that this place literally opened today, but the issues I had were not related to service or any other "being new" problems. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken, which I thought was breaded and fried. Maybe I misunderstood the menu but it came out with no breeding and was tough and fatty. The gravy that covered it was oily and had a chard flavor. The broccoli was served in a small dish and placed on top of some of my mashed potatoes! I will say the potatoes were very tasty. The waiter had a shirt that said "rocking it country style". Unfortunately nothing was rocking about my expire cue today. In fact I found it weird that the background music that played in the restaurant was Jazz! Not country or rock!

I was a weekly customer for well over a year before they changed to The Front Porch. I ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner and a diet Pepsi. Cost me $15.00! Three small pieces of chicken not cooked all the way thru. Pink next to the bone, what happens when you use frozen chicken. The manager I've seen every week for well over a year never stopped at my table to welcome me back. Very sad.

I have no idea why they gave up the Brazilian steakhouse menu they had been running here before, but whatever they have turned into is not nearly as good. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle-the waffle was good, although how badly can you really screw up a waffle? The waffle came with two "syrups", one a standard sweet maple syrup, and the other some sort of sirracha- infused savory syrup that was quite interesting. For being able to properly run a waffle iron and creating an interesting savory syrup, they get two stars. The chicken, on the other hand, was a disaster. One piece was so overcooked that it was completely dry inside and much of the breading was burnt. Unfortunately, the other piece was not burnt, and thus I discovered just how flavorless the actual breading was. Who knows, maybe they have to burn the breading in order to add some flavor... To top all of this off, the service was incredibly slow. I stopped in for what I hoped would be a quick solo lunch, and it took nearly 45 minutes for me to get my food when the restaurant was, at best, 20% full. Then again, given how burnt the chicken was, I wouldn't be surprised if they cooked it for the whole 45 minutes. I have no idea what inspired the owners to change over the menu, but they clearly knew more about running a Brazilian steakhouse than they know about cooking chicken. I would much prefer to eat at a local restaurant than a chain, but I will only do that when the local restaurant can at least produce decent food. Sadly, this does not appear to be the case at The Front Porch.

Horrible! We waited close to 45min for our food. They were out of the pot pies so i went with the fried steak. More like a smashed deep fried meatloaf with tendons... we the noticed hairs in our food... i had to run to the bathroom when we go home and felt sicker than a dog! we are never going back.
