Excellent gyros (with the side salad) and we received super-friendly service on our first visit. Hopefully, that level of friendly service is the norm. Over a year later since our first visit in April 2012...service is still very friendly. New found fave is the cheese and spinach pie. A baked flaky pastry dough stuffed with cheese and spinach. Very good, although we would have preferred a bit more feta.

The best gyros you'll find. Llambros is legendary for serving the best gyros for over 30 years... gotta be a reason he's been in business so long!

This place has the best gyros! Great restaurant and bar too. If you love gyros and beer, you'll love this place.

After traveling to many of the country's biggest cities, I had my doubts about gyros from a small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Eau Claire, WI. Don't judge a book by its cover has never been more true. The gyros from The Olympic Flame are amazing! They have a wonderful flavor by blending the meat, onions, sauce, and cilantro. They are also a great portion size. If you're looking for Greek food in Eau Claire, WI, this is your place. Opa!

As the previous review said, don't just this place based on looks, it's amazing. The Gyros here are excellent and only cost $6.01 with tax. Try this place...NOW!

Great gyros at a great price and some of the best fries anywhere

This is my favorite place to go for a great Greek salad. The prices are fair and the staff is really nice.

They don't have hummus but they sell corn dogs and cheeseburgers... Not sure why they are playing Greek music and calling themselves a Greek restaurant. Stopped by on a road trip trying to eat healthy (which you can normally do at a hole in the wall Greek spot). Stopping here was a bad idea.

I can't find a better gyro than here, and I've tried all over MPLS/St Paul and more. I grew up eating these - they set the bar high. CURSE YOU OLYMPIC FLAME bc you've ruined me for all other gyros out there. This place is a MUST for me when I come back to the Eau C. Greek mom n' pop style sort of restaurant that hasn't changed much in like 20 yrs but I LOVE that about here. The lamb in the gyro is great - delish and sometimes crisp around the edges, but still juicy and flavorful - and it is not wanting for meat. That bad boy is stuffed with it. The tzatziki is AMAZING and I order extra bc I love to dip my fries in it. I would like to order a jug of it, really... And the onions on there - I didn't think I could ever wax poetic about friggin' ONIONS but they are sweet and the perfect complement. The Spanakopita is great in every way you want it to be. Flakey, cheesy gooey awesomeness - again, always ordered with extra tzatziki. Super fast and friendly service. ONLY thing that's bad about here is that they are closed on Sundays. Which makes me sad, bc I'm usually only in town on the weekends.

My wife and I went to school at UWEC in the mid 90's and fell in love with the 'Flame. We like to come back every couple of years to visit the old stomping ground and this is always the first stop. It's an unassuming mom and pop establishment with some of the best Gyros and Spanakopita I've ever had. I've tried to find better, but even the fancier Greek establishments in the Twin Cities (Santorini, etc.) don't come close. Service is great, the prices are a steal.

While the staff is all nice here, the food is pretty pathetic. The pita came out warmer than the gyro meat, and it was served with some tomatoes, onions, and warm, overfried, french fries. The gyro meat appears to be the standard Kronos brand gyro meat - nothing special, and is prepared the same way that pretty much every cheap gyro place makes it - it seems to be the beef-only gyros also (not the slightly better, beef and lamb one - but I could be wrong about that.) Contrary to the other reviews here, my gyro came with no Cilantro. The reality is that this place is average, at best, and not worth the visit. Better gyros can be found in Wisconsin at Big Bens (in Ashland), though it's a bit of a trek from Eau Claire to get there. I'd avoid this place - Taco Bell is more appetizing.

Although I have never been to Greece, I feel as if I am there every time I dine at the Olympic Flame! Lamporos is the real deal! He will give you sound investment advice as well. Love the Gyros plate with salad, healthy as long as you have two glasses of Sutter Home cabernet with it.

Atmosphere is terrible, salad soaked in oil, and gyros were not the best as well. If you appreciate authenticity this is not the place.

Have been a fan since 1992 at least. Lampros (owner) has delivered a consistently excellent product all through those years. Service has always been friendly. Order the fries a little extra crispy - they're great! Recommend the gyros dinner with an extra pita, some feta, and some extra cucumber sauce.
