Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Yes, this is a regional chain, but the menu has good variety without getting ridiculous, the food is good and the service is excellent. My family and I especially like Green Mill's menu for going a little beyond the norm and delivering in ways that other chains just do not. The service is what really bumps this place up for us - highly attentive (without being cloying) and friendly. They boxed the leftovers away from the table, which is unfortunately not something every chain (or even independent restaurant) does. They brought extra plates for sharing without being asked, and even replaced the sharing salad/bread plates with sharing dinner-sized plates. Nice place. While we prefer independents, this is more than acceptable as a chain and the service at this restaurant was top-notch.

If you're staying at the hotel, it's close and the food is ok. But I've been underwhelmed the last couple times we've been here. Service is good, but the menu offerings are underwhelming and don't change very often. Their pizza is probably the best thing on the menu, so I'd suggest sticking with that. It's usually pretty noisy in the bar area, and if there are wedding parties or other events in the hotel, is can spill over into the restaurant as well. If you're looking for quiet, ask to be seated in the back corner of the dining room.

5 stars because this is my favorite place in town. We always stay at the hotel and go there for the spinach dip And the bartender Kelly, she is phenomenal. Patient, attentive. Just wonderful. go for the food, and return for the bartender she makes our visit every time. Just make sure you sit at the bar. See you in a few months.

Fantastic service with great food. I have now tried well over half of the menu. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the food. The bar is well stocked for all tastes and it is hard not to like the place. The one downside... And this is not a complaint.... Is the food on their dinner menu seems to be priced a little high. I cannot accurately judge this tho as I have gone to only a few places here in Eau Claire.

Tremendous pizza. We came here on a recommendation which turned out to be quite good. Cheese curds app since this is Wisconsin and then my wife and I split a sausage Alfredo pizza. The cheese was excellent and abundant and the drizzle of balsamic vinegar was perfect with the spinach. Great pizza, much more than you expect from a Restaurant attached to a mid range hotel. A very unexpected and nice find.

We stay at the Clarion when in EC and have found the bar and restaurant excellent for both food and service. We were there for an extended stay due to family matters. We were made to feel very welcome.

Eh. I was in the mood for some pasta, but was quite underwhelmed with the selection on the menu. I decided I would ask if it was possible to order just some spaghetti noodles with a marinara sauce. Our server informed me they couldn't do that because they did not have spaghetti noodles. I said that was ok that they didn't have spaghetti noodles and looked at the other dishes listed on the menu, to see which kinds of noodles they did have. Out of curiosity, I asked her about the shape of one of the noodles listed on the menu that I had not heard of before. Instead of saying she didn't know, she decided to give me a lecture on pasta noodles and tell me that it didn't matter which type of noodle I got because they all taste exactly the same and the only difference was the shape. She unnecessarily and with a condescending tone, started naming every other noodle and listed shapes of all of the noodles I was familiar with instead of the one I was asking about. I smiled and listened politely. When she was finished, I picked a noodle and sauce. After she left the table, our server was very inattentive throughout the remainder of our meal. When the food arrived, it was quite overcooked, and pretty poor quality even for pasta. I find it hard to mess up pasta with marinara sauce and am surprised on the rare occasions when this happens. When we received the bill, I was charged for pasta with chicken. If I knew I was going to be charged for extra chicken, I would've gladly had some chicken added to my pasta. Well, what do you do... I walked in with very low expectations, but still ended up leaving disappointed.

If you are ever in Eau Claire, this is the place to go grab a meal. While from the outside it looks like a standard restaurant attached to a Clarion, do not let the looks deceive you. Lots of good food and a solid draft list inside. I definitely recommend the chicken parm as it is topped with not only mozz cheese and tomato sauce but also chopped tomatoes brushetta style. This is a really nice touch to the meal as it adds a freshness to the meal. Portion size was huge as it also comes with a helping of fettuccine. Other highlights include the Cream of Potato soup (with bacon) and the herbed butter that comes with the bread. It was so good that I had to go back.

Fabulous pizza !! Spinach and garlic deep dish was awesome!!

Fantastic food, great drinks. I highly recommend this place. The cheese curds are perfect. The service was a bit slow, however the food more than made up for it.

Normally not a chain kinda guy. However convenience and consistency was the plan. I was not let down. Had the Thai Chicken Salad, great choice. This is my third trip to Green Mill in about 5 weeks. I don't recommend sitting in the bar, unless at the bar. Each time bar room service has not been stellar.

Their service in the bar is very poor. You should notice customers when they come in and offer service.

9-close happy hour is the best!! All appetizers are 1/2 off! Also the buffalo wings are amazing! A little on the spicy side but still amazing! Also any of the flat bread pizzas are good too!

We were invited to dinner at the Green Mill and I must admit I was a leery about a restaurant inside a Holiday Inn. What a nice surprise. The food was really good. They have very good burgers and the salads are fantastic. I had the enormous Asian Chicken Salad with craisins, cilantro, edamame and ginger dressing served with bread and herb butter. Next time I have to try a pizza or calzone.

Friendly staff (thanks to Courtney), delicious pizza, and great beer flights! We were staying at the hotel attached and this was a great dinner option. I wish we lived closer (we are from CA) because I'd love to come back. Maybe it's busier on other days of the week and this impacts service but Sunday evening was great.

Had the broiled Walleye and it was very good. The prices are really reasonable and my server, Emily was great. Made good suggestions and was very attentive.

Great burger and great service.

I stop here on my way back from Minneapolis to Milwaukee. This place has the best happy hour with 1/2 off appetizers from 4 to 6pm. If you're traveling with a family, i'd highly recommend it! There is a little something for everyone and it's mostly comfort food. It's not gourmet food, and does not try to be. It is good food for a great value. Serving sizes are generous, so split an entree and grab 2 appetizers and it's small plate dining. Clean, friendly and a stop I look forward to.

Recently I stopped in Eau Claire for an overnight on a long driving trip and took the opportunity to visit a (literal and figurative) old family friend. I told her I'd pick her in the morning, she could pick the breakfast spot, and then I'd take her home before heading off towards my destination. She chose Green Mill. I'm glad she did. We were greeted right away and seated. Due to some lovely medical accessories, the hostess asked if we had a preference or need for exact seating and storage. That was much appreciated. They brought out our coffee right away which my road-weary body was ever-thankful for. Our waitress walked that great line of giving two indecisive people enough space to look at the menu but checking in to make sure there were no questions needing answers and that we weren't waiting once we had decided. My friend got the french toast and I got an egg scramble with juice. One slightly odd thing happened with my cranberry juice, I guess it hadn't been in the cooler for long so they brought out a cup of ice so I could cool it down. It really wasn't needed but I thought that was thoughtful of them. I have no specifics about the food but my friend really liked her meal, and even finished the whole thing. I could not finish my entire meal even though it was delicious. I actually had more than enough for breakfast another day on my trip from my leftovers (almost as delicious re-heated). The English muffin and a third of my dish had filled my tank for my trip. That tank ended up just sustaining me for the rest of our conversation, not driving. :-) My friend and I might possibly have spent about 3.5 hours there catching up. (Remember, I said old family friend. We had to cover the babies to the 90-somethings.) Regardless, the waitress continued to be very sweet about us sitting there, even after I closed out our check in case she was working a short shift. (Not that anything was said or mentioned about it; I just like being polite to servers. I know sometimes they can't leave at the end of their shift till all their checks are closed out.) Again, that line of being present in case more coffee was needed but giving us space was masterfully walked. Overall a great experience. I am most likely going to be stopping through again later this fall on another trip and am hoping she'll pick this place for dinner so I can try that also.

I used to have this review at 5 stars and be quite a fan of this place for their happy hour. It used to run until 7 every night and had good specials on drinks, with mini 2-topping pizzas for $4.50. They bumped the time up to 6, got rid of the mini pizzas and raised the drink prices. Without that, everything else is quite pricey and I don't think I'll really be coming back.

By far the worst service I have ever received, and I go out to eat at least once a week. Here is the list of atrocities that occurred this evening: 1. We had two servers, one said she was training... Couldnt even tell who the trainee was until she said so. Both were equally unknowledgable about the menu as well as in customer service. The girls shirt was so small on her there was a huge gap between the buttons and you could clearly see her bra and breasts. 2. It's cinco de mayo and they didn't even know what kind of margharitas they sold. They convinced my dad to order a "top shelf" without knowing the type of liquor in it, just said bc it's more expensive it is tastier. 3. My moms pomegranate margharita was watered down with no liquor in it, when she tried to send it back, instead of apologizing the wait staff tried to say she must not know what a margharita tastes like, even after she told them that she orders them all the time. 4. After waiting a half hour after putting in our order we were told they just realized they ran out of tortellini. And he couldn't even pronounce tortellini. 5. We waited about TWO HOURS for our entrees. Two tables were sat right next us, after we placed our dinner order. They were served, ate, and had their food boxed before us- even though they ordered deep dish pizza. We ordered salad and pasta. 6. My sister asked for plain pasta, no sauce or butter or olive oil bc she is running a marathon tomorrow and isn't supposed to have dairy. Her pasta came loaded with butter. 7. I ordered a cherry coke, got regular. My mom ordered a water and waited 40 minutes for it. 8. They had an advertisement sitting on the table saying that their Saturday special is if you order two pasta entrees you get a bottle of wine. We inquired, as we ordered three pastas and it was advertised at our table, and was told that "sometimes they do it but not tonight" even though they advertised it tonight. 8. We told the manager, she said shed check in to our list of concerns, especially the kitchen problems. She never came back with an answer. The restaurant wasn't even full, there were open tables and all of this happened. I would never recommend eating or drinking here! You'll be getting the worst service you've ever had.

Best deep dish pizza in town. And the service is great. Have a beer or wine relax and enjoy.
(4)McLellan M.
Totally decent pizza. Not sure if it's a full on 4, but I wouldn't want anyone to avoid them by seeing a 3. Staff was friendly and attentive. As mentioned, pizza was decent- not great, but better than some bad pizzas I've had. Relatively good beer selection. What does anyone else think?

Ok...not bad. Low cal salad is great. I question that the Thai chicken salad is only 366 cal, but very good. Decent food, good service. Does quite a business...mostly business travelers from the nearby hotels.

Your typical "bar" food. Not bad at all but nothing special. Reasonably priced and convenient if you're staying at the Holiday Inn. Service was good.
