Have been here many times for breakfast. Dinner tonight was very good. Chicken Saute with rice was generous. Served with chicken noodle soup. Very filling

I've never been able to figure it out. The sunmist has good consistent food at very fair price. The place across the street is more popular and I've never understood it. Maybe younger prettier waitresses but they are crowded and people are sitting on top of you. I prefer SUNMIST! Good service. Great lunch specials and the soup is always good. I think the place across the street is where people"want to be seen". I prefer Sunmist and you have more room. I'm happy he took the gambling machines out. GIVE IT A TRY!

Came here all the way from Skokie, IL since it was highly touted on this forum. I have no complaints about the food. We both ordered breakfast and it was delivered promptly and hot & delicious! What this place could use, however, is some sprucing up. It is dark and dingy...the chairs need painting, the vents need cleaning and the lighting needs serious upgrading. Ceiling is dirty and water-stained. A coat of cheery yellow paint wouldn't hurt either. All in all, an okay place...

I love this place! I'm from Wisconsin, but live in California now, and was back visiting. My Dad and I always have breakfast here. We come in and are seated, and my Dad always says that he doesn't need a menu. I always say that I can guess what he's going to have, and I say, "You're going to have 2 eggs over easy, 2 strips of bacon, wheat toast with butter, and decaf coffee." He always acts surprised, and says, "How did you know?" I always say, "Because that's what you always have!" The service is great! They're constantly refilling your water and coffee. Our wonderful server kept us laughing with his funny jokes! I always have eggs, several different ways, and the eggs in Wisconsin taste sooo good! They are especially good at the Sunmist Café!

We stumbled across this place walking main street Delavan during the town's fall festival a couple years back. They accommodated a big walk-in party with smiles, messy kids and all, and served up some great food to boot. I think that weekend we ate three or four meals here. All of it was great. And they genuinely appreciate the business. When i was a kid our family spent a lot of time in this area. Don't get to Delavan much any more, but when I do this place is a must.

sun mist cafe is the most underrated restaurant in the lakes area! it is #1 in my book! the food is superb, the prices very affordable, the ambieance is quite inviting and the welcome offered by your hostess and owners lisa and chief mike is most inviting. their staff as well make you feel at home. what a great place.to dine. if you havn't dinned here, you havn't lived. give it a try today!!! enjoy
