About Papa Murphy
Papa Murphy is one of the top pizza chains in the United States. Papa Murphy was formed after the merger of two popular local pizzerias namely Papa Aldo's and Murphy's respectively. The trend of "take and bake" pizzerias gained popularity in the United States during the early 90s. The growing popularity these two take and bake pizzerias located in Hillsboro, Oregon and Petaluma, California respectively gave the idea of a possible merger to Terry Collins.

First time here! Had the calamari, brick garlic bread and thin crust pizza. Good stuff! Definitely recommend the garlic bread, which comes along with the pizza as an appetizer. Nice atmosphere, family friendly.

Their food is delicious. I've been eating here for years. However, their customer service over the past few years has taken a serious dive. I randomly receive text messages confirming my order when the last order I placed was three months ago. When I *do* place an order, I receive texts saying the order was cancelled. Every time this happens, I call the restaurant to find out what is going on. It takes me, on average, seven tries to get past the busy signal. The teenager that picks up places me on hold right away. When he comes back, he asks one question at a time, puts me on hold to talk to his manager, another question, hold, etc. And, invariably, each time I am told the manager will call me back "in about five minutes", which never happens. Then the entire cycle repeats itself. Nobody here has any effing clue what is going on and tonight it inspired us to stop ordering from our favorite pizza joint. It would be nice if the manager would at least call us back to confirm our final order...

I came here with good old mom for carry out . I liked the atmosphere, appears to be newly remodeled. The staff that works here seemed to be really putting forth some effort to bust their ass. They all were dressed sharp and professional, which is pretty impressive for a pizza place. I take notice of that stuff and I think others may even if it subconscious. The service was outstanding although the place wasn't packed and we were getting ours to go. We placed a pizza order and sat at the bar and had a beer. While we were sitting the bartender was aware enough to ask us if we were waiting on a pie and was courteous enough to go back and see how it was coming along. The beer prices for what we had was moderate for a corona and a Lakefront tall beer it was $9. The pizza was just okay, I don't expect the pizza to be piping hot by the time we get it home or anything like that because we simply throw it pack in the oven. The crust wasn't the best, sort of bland and doughy in texture. The sauce wasn't spectacular either, it was too sweet for my taste. I felt like someone took some store bought dough and slathered some spaghettini sauce on it and added some toppings and called it good. I really enjoyed there garlic bread which I'm not so sure is truly garlic bread but it was really good. That on the other hand tasted like the bread was home made and doused in butter and salt. It was then baked and had an awesome crunch on the outside and fluffy spongy inside that after I finished have the serving size it left me wanting more. I'm sure I'll be back because mom likes it but I didn't love the pizza here but the atmosphere, service, and garlic bread were pretty good.

Pleasantly surprised , a very good pizza with a very tasty light cracker like crust , sausage was fresh, service was good.

Papa Luigi's is solid for pizza. The sauce is sweet, crust is thin, and toppings are good. Our party of 10 got a table in the open room next to the bar pretty easily on a Saturday night. Service was okay, nothing stellar, it was adequate. But the pizza- really good! And a Large comes w/free order of Garlic Bread, so our big party saved $10 on appetizers! And before you "compliment" me by saying "You should really go down by dere and have X Pizza Place", just save it! This is great pizza on the South Side in a town where there's a lotta good pie.

Meh. Pizza is nothing great. Not bad, but not worth going out of the way for again. Atmosphere is too "clean" for me. By that I guess I mean it's too suburban-feeling. Or that I could probably take grandma there and she'd be thrilled with how lovely it is. Which means it's just not up my alley.

Date night, loved it!!!!!!! We tried quite a few items, that's how we test a new place out to see if we will return. Started off with mac and cheese bites that were fried to a perfect crisp served with some of the best marinara sauce I've had since I can remember. Next was the generous half order of eggplant again paired with the red sauce and both apps were great. Salad course was next and no complaints cool and crisp I had the caesar and again very good. Entrees are what really make or break a place for me and again everything was wonderful I had the Crab Linguini Alfredo and my guest had the Chicken Parm. both outstanding and a hearty portion enough that we both had plenty to enjoy the next day and trust we did. They did have a special which I will try the next time featuring a champagne sauce, crab, spinach and tomatoes sounded very good and the sauce I tried was awesome. The staff was very friendly and prompt, the host Megan greeted us warmly and smiled then sat us right way. Our beverages never made it below 1/2 empty with the service assistant asking politely if we wanted a refill and the returning quickly with our glasses. Our server Roxanne was very knowledgeable and pleasant attentive without being intrusive all and all a very personable and we will definitely request her again. Looking forward to the next time we can dine at this establishment.

I usually come here every few months. I haven't been disappointed yet. We always order several large cheese ,sausage, half pepperoni, mushrooms, & onions. With that we get the free garlic bread. We like the one with cheese on it. The pizzas are great just the right amount of spices & sauce. I think it is one of the best in the area.

Expensive, food was cold and burnt when I got it home and I live a few blocks away. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a 12 inches pizza and appetizer it came to 28 bucks... steep.... but I paid in hopes of a delious meal I won't have to cook. My kid woulsnt touch it :( very disappointed. Only giving them two stars because of the staffs friendliness!

Pizza is OK, good location. Last night we stopped in to pick up an order of lasagne and had a drink while we waited. I had a glass of J & B, which I am familiar with. I could swear they watered it down. I saw the bottle and label, which was the real deal, but the scotch was almost clear, and tasteless. Isn't that illegal? If not, it's just cheap! Last time I stop for a drink......

Papa Luigi's is a landmark -- They have been around for about 30 years and their food and service show it!! Their Menu has something for everyone--Pasta, Pizza, Salads and Sandwiches.... The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the service is good and very friendly. You would have to see it for yourself-- It is our favorite Italian restaurant--and we are sure after your fist visit it will be yours too... :-)

A group of friends and I decided on dining here on a Friday evening. I was concerned it was going to be really crowded, but they knew we were coming and had our table ready for us when we arrived. The service was outstanding!!! I don't do well with poor customer service in this economy when so many people are looking for jobs and would be more then happy to be nice to people... But that is a rant for another day. Our server was wonderful! The place was spic and span and really cute inside!! A big parking lot in the back and street parking too... On to the food... My partner and I both ordered pasta with chicken on it. It was good. Nothing to write home about .. but good. I was disappointed they didn't have fresh Parmesan cheese. Also the chicken was kind of weird. I thought it would be grilled or something - but I almost appeared boiled. I would not order the chicken again. The rest of the party ordered pizza and were very very pleased with it!!! When we go back I will go that route!

well, well, well....low and behold, a pretty good italian place in cudahy. for a sunday night, a much appreciated uncrowded delight. with our entrees we ordered came a choice of salad or soup. we chose the salad. maybe the soup would have been better? the house salad was a sad array of iceburg lettuce with a few carrot tid bits, cucumber and tomato slices. the wait was a bit long for our entrees, we had wished that there would have been some bread with oil and vinegar, but maybe we were asking for too much? the place had been tastefully renovated, our waitstaff was pleasant and efficient. when our entrees did finally appear, they were both good. i had the meat lasagna (enough for two), my fiance had fettuccine alfredo. we felt that his dish was a bit bland, but a good job on the lasagna Papa Luigi. all-in-all, a pretty nice surprise.

Went there on 12/15/12. We had a pizza, mozzarela sticks, garlic bread and breaded mushrooms. The sticks and mushrooms we're all liquid and did not taste very good. The pizza and service were average at best. I have been there many times and it didn't seem as good as in the past. I probably will not go back.
(2)Tricia P.
My fiance and I ordered the anti-pasta salad as a starter before our pizza. It was awesome, fresh and HUGE. We even took some home. It also came with 2 pieces of garlic bread which we took home as well because our pizza came with cheesy bread (I loved the sesame crust to the cheesy bread). The salad had tasty red onion, tomatoes, pepperoni, salami, olives, whole pepperoncinis, cucumbers, marinated artichoke hearts, shredded mozzarella and 2 sides of house Italian dressing. We both loved it and felt that the flavors complimented the pizza very well! The pizza was good too, a bit greasy but with all the pepperoni on the thin crust I don't think it could have been avoided. The bartender was polite and even made me a homemade margarita (vs. the premix) per my request and did so with a smile! We have been here at least a dozen times and have always been pleased (except for once when we ordered delivery (fish fry) which just seemed to greasy and lacking in quality but we've ordered a fish fry in the restaurant and it has been great!). This restaurant is within walking distance from our house and it is nice to have a place with good food in Cudahy.

Came here a couple years ago for a fish fry and thought it was fine. They propose to be more than just pizza, so I tried the Pasta Primavera this time. It's a Wednesday night, with at least 4 employees visible and maybe 7 tables, but service was slow. Clientele was... well it's Cudahy: the fat drunk guy loudly telling everyone about his broken arm was the highlight. Pasta Prima with "grilled" chicken is $12. The whole dish was tasteless. Supposed to have white sauce on it, but all I could see was olive oil. The chicken didn't seem grilled, as another reviewer said, it may have been boiled. The vegetables were just blah. The garlic bread was so dry it was inedible. Any Olive Garden has better Italian food. Maybe their pizza is better, but there's enough good pizza places around that I doubt I'll try Papa Luigi's again.
