Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. My husband & I always come here when we are in Cedarburg. The pizza is always yummy and so are the garlic bread knots. The pizza crust isn't too thing or too thick - it is just right. The tops are always seem to be fresh. The service is great & I have never had any issues with it.

I absolutely love Sal's Pizza. Every time I am in Cedarburg, I try to hit the place up for a delicious slice of awesomeness. The food is reasonably priced and tastes great. I haven't been there in about a year due to work schedule changes. Too my surprise, the same gentleman was there from over a year ago. It's good to see a face I remember. Everyone there is super friendly. Give this place a try and come back again!

We stopped by on a whim $ we're rewarded with a slice of what has to be THE BEST Tomato Basil & Garlic pizza I have EVER had! No Lie Cross my heart hope to never have pizza again... (Yeah, I am THAT serious!!) Pizza knots were OK... Maybe would have been better with a dipping sauce... On their own, they were a bit dry and "underwhelming" not Bad, just (K)not great . Staff was friendly & courteous, service was fast, & the restaurant was clean and spacious. We will Definitely be coming back whenever we visit Cedarburg!

Best pizza locally and not to expensive either. Be sure to get their garlic knots when you order they are very tasty!

Tasty pizza by the slice. A great place to just stop in for a quick bite of good, thin crust 'za. The lunch prices are every reasonable - 1 slice with a garlic knot and drink for less than $6 or 2 slices with 2 garlic knots and a drink for $9.

Was here Friday for lunch with my best friend . The pizzas were so delicious!! Betsy had a slice of the chicken bacon and a slice of cheese pepperoni. I had spinach pizza with feta cheese and slice of tomato basil . Each slice was very tasty hot and delicious !! The lunch deal includes garlic bread and drink for less than $10. Definitely a greats deal. Will definitely return!

I won't lie.. I'm very sad! Here I am at work and everyone is eating Pizza Hut..(yuck) as a devoted Sals fan I tried to call in an order for a few slices. They broke my heart when they told me I have to order either a pizza, calzone or Stromboli in order to have slices delivered. I wanted nothing more than a gooey hot Mac n cheese pizza slice.. Two of them to be exact and an order of garlic knots as well. They have a 10 dollar minimum order to get it delivered which my order was over that but they won't deliver slices unless another more expensive item is ordered. We have pizza every Friday at the hospital so doing a special order of slices would have been perfect. Please reconsider the won't deliver slices only rule. I did order but spent less than I would have if I would have been able to order what I wanted. I hope my calzone is good even though I rather be eating mac n cheese pizza I really wanted. They have free delivery so that is a plus.. I guess I can have them deliver closer to the end of my shift and take my Mac n cheese pizza home.. Then it's cold so that won't work and I won't be able to drive there after work as it way to close to closing time.. I just can't win.. Booo.. I gave them 4 stars because their food is amazing. My family and I try Mac n cheese pizza from everywhere and sals by far the best hands down. I only give them 1 star for their silly slice delivery rule.

The pizza is good New York style pizza. You can choose from the slices that are ready, or order a pizza. Menu has a good selection. Good pizza with a big delivery area. The service is alright and the ambience is rather ordinary, nothing special.

We visit Sals in Cedarburg and everytime we ride the interurban bike trail. Sals is located directly across the street from the interurban bridge in cedarburg and has a great tree to lock bikes up against. They have several outdoor seating areas also. Upon entering they have a large glass window viewing area to see what pizza is cooked and available for sale. Everything from feta spinach to chicken bbq. Once ordered and paid for they hand off the drink cups to the self serve beverage area and being the food to you. The dining area is nothing fabulous, some italian photos and a TV. The food comes quickly and the pizza slices are humongous. They serve a garlic twist roll with each slice. The menus as the table also feature full pizza for sale, but we have never ordered. The pizza by the slice is always our favorite here. I love Sals pizza. It's delicious . It's a great price and location is everything.

I love this place. I am so glad they made pizzanetto in Fox Point because it is closer to home. The pizza are so yummy. Garlic knots are a must.

Again, I am from NYC, so I am a certified pizza snob. This place is a good notch or two above 90% of the "pizza" places in Wisconsin, but it is a good three or four levels below true NY pizza. The pies in the window left me hopeful I would get authentic NY pizza. I went with a smaller pie, and that might have been a mistake. It was ok in taste, just not the NY style I was hoping for. Tis place is worth a trip as it is better than the rest, but temper expectations. I will give it another try, hoping that the regular size pie is up to par. I will so that atmosphere is straight up NYC, so that is cool. 2 stars, but close to three.

Sal's offers NY pizza by the slice, garlic knots and whole pizzas. The whole pies come win 14" and 18". The garlic knots are chewy and delicious. The pizza crust is extremely chewy which I enjoy. While the sauce may be light, the amount of toppings and the price for a large, hot pie make up for it. Sal's offers free delivery and just a word of caution, the large pizza box will not fit in your fridge or oven. I'm not sure why they don't offer artichoke hearts as a topping, but if you're craving a hot Ny style pie I suggest you order from Sal's post haste.

Walked in. Saw about 5 greasy pizzas with pre cut slices that looked like it came from a frozen pizza at the grocery store. Heard the man behind the counter being really rude to someone on the phone (not sure if it was a personal or a business call). Walked out.

Tried to order for delivery tonight and they said I has to order 5 or more slices. REALLY!?!! When did this change? Boo Hiss!!

Good slice of pizza. Had the BBQ chicken and the veggie to my delight. I'm not sure about some of the other reviews, but coming in at 10:00 pm and still having fresh slices is pretty impressive. If you're in the area, you could do a lot worse. Oh yeah, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic. A real plus.

Crust is tasty, cheese and sauce are a bit lacking. Didn't seem to have any Sicilian or grandma pizza, like you would find in NYC. They also asked "what kind" when I asked for a slice. Don't they know? Not really New York pizza, but more a rough midwestern approximation. The decor is going for trying to be your neighborhood slice joint in Brooklyn, but if you know the real thing it is more like set dressing. The 2 Bros Pizza $1 slices (it is a New York thing) are better than this. Then again, things billed as New York style pizza tend to be a pathetic joke outside the five boroughs where it is just called pizza.

This is one of Cedarburg's best kept secrets. I love coming here. When you walk in they have a type of buffet with a large selection of pizza. They you choose the very large Chicago slice of pizza that you want and they put it in the oven to warm with a garlic roll. That doesn't seem like a lot, but it is and it is filling. The slice of pizza, garlic roll, and soda are only $5. I think that's pretty reasonable. I am surprised to see that other people think the pizza is greasy, because it is not. Their dinning area is smaller, but that's not a big deal. The other really fun thing they do it deliver to Mequon, Thiensville, Grafton and of course Cedarburg. Now that's service. The big pan pizzas they deliver are also very reasonable priced. I had ordered some when a few out of town friends came in, and they loved it. My family will always come here. (On a side note, Sal himself is a pretty cool guy. If he is there and you dine in, he will personally come over and thank you for choosing to dine there.)

Great NY pizza by the slice and a very neat location right in the heart of downtown Cedarburg. The ambiance is like a pizza parlor you think about when you think of a neighborhood New York joint. Simple, nothing flashy, formica tables and wooden chairs. As you walk in, several large pies are staring at you behind an open glass display case. Large slices are served up on paper plates. Not too greasy (does not have the grease soaking into the crust) with a good amount of chew. Typically, the slices will be reheated in the pizza oven since they are standing out in the open (not under heat lamps). I had the Margarita and the Spinach slices and there was some minced garlic snuck in there. Pretty tasty. Has seating in the back and a 60" big screen TV which dwarfs the entire dining room seating area (LOL). Good place to eat a quick bite if you are browsing or shopping in the area.

Sal's is a nice place for a slice of pizza. Located in the heart of Cedarburg it's not much to look at but the pizza is really good

Chunky tomato sauce, thin crispy crust and greasy cheese. Not bad for random place to stop for pizza. I'm not disappointed. A solid 3 and a half star.

Great pizza by the slice. A little greasy but certainly tasty. My husband had the stuffed sausage and pepperoni calzone and I had the stuffed spinach. We had the homemade cannolli for dessert and it was fantastic. We sat outside the restaurant at one of their two dining tables on the sidewalk to eat. The owner and a server both came out to check on us. I would recommend this place as a very casual order at the counter dining option.

Great pizza by the slice. As close to a "real" NY slice as I've seen in the Milwaukee area. The garlic knots are to die for. I'd give Sal's five stars, but I can't due to cleanliness issues. The place needs a good scrub-down. But to be perfectly frank, we make the 20 minute drive and suffer through Cedarburg traffic on Saturdays just to get a slice. We love it!

There are not too many pizza joints around the western suburbs that boasts "New York style." I enjoy the foldable pieces and a good, doughy, but not overly thick, crust. Sal's DELIVERED! I don't mean that the driver brought it to my house. Oh no. I drove from my home in Wauwatosa to test out the NY-style pie that is made at Sal's in Cedarburg. Along with an 18" sausage and green pepper pizza, I added two orders of their garlic knots. You get 3 pieces with each order, and my husband is a huge bread man. We ended up with extra, though, because the pizza was so filling. There was only one complaint, really. I like a little more flavor when I bite into the toppings. It was pretty basic. I ended up adding some dried oregano and red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. There was also a major lack of sauce. That may have assisted in the flavor department. I am not asking for complex flavors, because it's pizza, but I want my taste buds to have more of a reaction. A sweet sauce, and more of it, may help, along with the addition of more heady spices in the sausage or just on top. But, for the trek, and the mere $22 for a gigantic pizza and 8 pieces of knots (2 came with the pizza), it was a deal. The crust was perfect, and the foldability was dead on. The other fantastic part was that not one part of the pizza slid off of the crust. It all stayed in place (and not all over my face). Put down the knife and fork. Sal's just has to make a few tweaks to really make this my go-to for New York style pizza. I think I will give them a second chance down the road, in the hopes that they will read their Yelp reviews and take head. Listen and they shall come.

Great New York style pizza, available by the slice. Being able to get it by the slice allows you to try the great variety. They have some unusual ones, here are a few: cheeseburger, ham and pineapple, lasagna, margarita.

Very tasty pizza-by-the-slice.
