Great breakfast place near Lake Geneva. Reasonably priced drinks and food...and an opportunity to mix with the locals. Breakfast for 2 for under $10 unless you cocktail...and the bloody's are good. Friday Fish Fry is good as well as other weekday specials.

Really great home style eatery. Humble atmosphere, dirt cheap prices, friendly service. The only thing that bothered me was the flies in the restaurant. It is summer and the place was busy with the doors opening and closing constantly but a restaurant is no place for flies. Had the veggie omelet and biscuit gravy which were both outstanding. This place is blue collar......with a side of sweetness. ;)

This is a secret gem! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed! Sure the place could use a little updating, so if you are looking for ambiance, this is not the place. If you want great service, tasty food and excellent prices/value, Local Folks is it! It has the best Friday fish fry around, too!

We have been trying to find a local place for breakfast for 5 years and nothing! So the other day we were sitting around the lake and I started asking everyone for suggestions and Old Folks came up. So my wife and I went on a quest to find Old Folks on the Old Hwy 50. We could not find a phone number or even address for this place. So we decided to use our Smart Phones. We were able to use our technology and zoom into a map of the area and then I saw something called Local Folks on the map. Of course, all of the locals had the name wrong. As soon as we walked in we were so excited to have breakfast here. This is our new place and the prices were amazing. They also have a kids menu too which is really nice. I highly recommend the Silver Dollar Pancakes...it makes it fun for them to eat. I had the Eggs Benedict Sandwich...which was Wisconsin Style...smothered with cheese...I had to use a fork and knife to eat it. It was really good. My wife had the hashbrowns with veggies...they were really good. We also had some biscuits and gravy for desert. Oh yeah and the bill was cheap too!!! Everything was amazing...check out my photos for some of the breakfast dishes. We will definately be coming back here. Also our waitress was really friendly too and she seemed like she had been busting her ass off since 6am...we got there at 10:30am on a Saturday. This place also has lunch and dinner too and a full bar when you walk in. We did not try any of this but we did notice that there was a Bloody Mary Special on Sunday...so we may have to try that out!

Was a decent place. Carpet and seats need some updating and repair. Onion rings were hot and crispy, but needed a bit more seasoning. Had their breaded chicken sandwich and fries. Both were hot and crispy, but especially fries needed seasoning. Staff was nice and friendly. Pricing on items was also pretty good.
