Been eating here since they opened - 20 years now? Anyway, the food is indeed fast food, pretty good. Half pound burger never dissapoints. Been getting steak and chicken tacos for years now - they never skimp on the meat. They come with lettuce/onion and not much else, but I am sure they would add on if you ask. Salsa is really good. Italian beef and gyro also very good. Large fry order large enough for 2-3 people and priced well. Best price in town for motz sticks too, and you get a good amount for your buck. This place is not fancy at all, and it's true the staff can come off haggard at times, but it's rare. The guy who owns it is a working owner - you'll see him cooking food next to the other workers, and his kids (older obviously) work too. The grill is right there - you can pretty much watch them prepare your food. I like that. Too bad some reviewers here had bad experiences; Flippy's is a Burlington staple and we love it. Good food, fair prices. Go there on Friday night and you'll see

I've ordered delivery here a few times now in the past 3 months. Each time, the person taking the order is polite and hears me just fine. The person delivering is polite as well and delivered about the time frame they said it would take. This is my go-to place when I want American food delivery!

Hey, it's okay. I was in town for some business and my work associate and I were craving something fast, greasy, and bad-for-you. Flippy's did not disappoint. I had, as is my wont, the Chicago dogs which I like to use as a type of standard-candle for measuring fast food places. Toppings were correct, dogs were delicious, if a little messy. They have another Chicago staple on the menu, a cheezy beef, which I had my partner try and he reported back that it was pretty delicious. He's from Wisconsin though so I'm not sure if his opinion on Chicago-Style Italian beefs is worth anything. I sure don't trust it, but I don't trust anything from this frigid hell-hole. Service was pretty shitty. The guy at the register I assume was the owner and he was cool but the kid who made the food obviously didn't give a fuck. Toppings were pretty much just tossed onto the hot dogs and beef with no care at all. I don't really blame him, 'cause he's probably making minimum wage but the owner should really make sure things are up to snuff. I don't think Flippy's was anything that incredible but I would go there again. It's a 3-4 star place but since I gave another Chicago hot-dog place three stars last week for a weird Chicago dog I'll go w/ 4 for Flippy's.

What I had? American sub (Salami & Ham) with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, oil, swiss and American cheese Food review: I haven't been to Flippy's in many years so while I was back in my good ole hometown of Burlington, WI, it really sounded good to revisit. I, for the most part, was not disappointed. This sub is the best sub in town by far (which doesn't really take much given that Subway is the only other sub place that I'm aware of here). The combination of all the incredients are might tasty and the only thing that didn't taste the same as what I remember was the bread. I think I remember it being a little "crispier" on the crust but regardless it was still a great sandwich. Simple but tasty! Service? No complaints

Went in there today to eat and my daughter had to use the bathroom she came out and said the mirror in the bathroom fell on her head but she wad okay. So I went up to the counter to let them know so that they could remove the mirror. I was informed by the owner that it was impossible for that to happen because the mirror won't hang up and was on the floor when he got there in the morning. I asked him if he was accusing my eight year old daughter of lieing and he said no but it was still impossible. So I went back into the bathroom and low and behold hung up the "impossible to hang mirror" on a very loose nail to prove that my daughter want lieing. When I went to tell him this. He still insisted that it was impossible for it to have fallen on her head. Never once did he ask if she was okay or apologize. We were treated like crap and accused of lieing. He is lucky that the mirror didn't break on her head and she wasn't seriously hurt. I will never go back there and will tell everyone what a jerk he was. We weren't looking for anything free, I just didn't want anyone else to get hurt.
