It's nearly impossible to find a healthy meal in a mall so this place is a gem! More malls and food courts need Grassroots. I live for the salads. Please add red wine vinegar to your dressings selection, the only thing that my heart is missing. :)

While shopping at the mall, my friend and I were discussing places to eat in the area. An employee at the particular store we were at, suggested Grassroots in the food court, and said it was "really good". Ok fine. We aren't food court people, but we were short on time, so we gave it a shot. Totally exceeded my expectations, and I want to go back...now. Their problem is that they're stuck in a food court, and I think this place is original enough that they belong in their own building...or even a strip mall. And when that happens, serve some alcohol with that local fare! Local wine would be a great pairing!

LOVE this place !! The yummiest -freshest ingredients!! This takes having a salad to a whole new level. Amazing addition. Portion sizes are generous and filling. So many toppings to choose from. I ate here 3 times this week for lunch. Everyday a different combo. This is with a trip to the mall just to have them for a meal. They are family owned. Support them and help them stay and grow. They are so friendly on top of having a great Truly Green location :) telling ALL my friends- you should too!!

Mall food court savior!!! 4.4 Tryout of pickup salad after nearby shopping stop. My fastest review ever as it's pretty new and I want it to succeed, stay, grow, please! Brookfield Square does have a 5 Guys, but that line could may have been 30 minutes today, and this is uber healthy. Juices and wraps also available at this Kiosk in the food court entrance. Not as extensive as Green Kitchen @ MPM, but I at least like Grassroots' salad better. Create a salad includes just four toppings for $7.35 with tax. Mixed two greens, all looked great, believe the tasty sprouts were in winter mix.Yum. Of the over twenty topping choices Kalamatas, chicks, corn, and dried cranberries for me. Just four are enough, and maybe that keeps the salads cheaper than GK, whereas juices cost more. Had testers of a few dressings, all tasty, Mediterranean Vinaigrette had dairy in it, so went with Champagne Vinaigrette. Good choice, plenty of suspended spice in it akin to Fortner's #37 or #1 (salt free spices I make sure to get if go to State Fair). Will get again! Side note 1: the I'll-assume-to-be-100%-recycled-material napkins are truly amazing cloth-like soft! Every eco warrior should track it down. Not particularly strong, but EASILY the best thing I've ever wiped my lips with. Side note 2: I didn't stick around to see, but I hope there are compostable waste containers in the food court or they're wasting a lot of effort as even the forks are compostable. I'm not carrying this stuff to Whole Foods to dispose of, nor installing a compost bin in our tiny condo.

I have come to wonder why people at the Brookfield Square Mall Food Court are so friendly? Is it the Wisconsin cheese and sausage based diet? I don't know. This is something I base all quick-service restaurant experiences on, however. The staff at Grassroots Salad Company did not disappoint in the friendliness department. You are greeted warmly, and they are very knowledgeable about the menu. Everything there is locally sourced and organic. The staff can tell you where they sourced their greens and other items. You can choose from a menu of various salads or wraps or custom make your salad. Most of the items are until $10, and the portions are good sized. Today, I had the Cobb Salad. They included a good portion of each topping including half an avocado. No chicken for this girl today! It was very filling, and the homemade dressing was excellent. I would never think of champagne vinaigrette for a Cobb Salad, but it totally worked.

My salad was okay. Would have been better if I wasn't being attacked by fruit flies the entire meal. Brookfield Square is a dump.

Really good salad. I typically get the Market Cobb and it's great. This place is something you wouldn't think you'd find in a food court, but low and behold it's there. Staff is friendly, ingredients are fresh. I definitely recommend this place if you're at Brookfield square.

Fresh, delicious salad. My daughter is vegetarian and thoroughly enjoyed her salad from here. Clean, friendly staff. I am so glad that there is this alternative to fatty, oily, high calorie count good at the mall. But I'm not dissing the mall food, mind you.

Yum! I love having a healthy, delicious choice in the mall. Heck, most often I go to the mall not to shop but to get lunch from grassroots! Prices are a bit steep, but the portions are huge!

I was super hungry and surrounded with nothing but fatty and unhealthy options. But I was saved by a healthy wrap at Grass Roots. I had a delicious and healthy wrap and I'm so glad I did. I'm down about 15 lbs and m, to be honest, I was ready to eat junk food because it's my normal habit at the mall. Thanks to GR I didn't have to settle for that junk. I see the people sitting around me now: overweight and eating pizzas or unhealthy chips. I used to be that person. I don't want to be. I feel better and want to be healthy. Far has given me that option and I'm very thankful. My one desire would be or a different wrap option (I'm a fan of spinach wraps, etc). I know I could just do the salad option, but I do like wraps. Whole wheat just aren't my fav. As they grow in sure they will add other options though.

I had the Santa Fe salad. The ingredients were super fresh with a great chipotle dressing. Strawberry smoothie was very refreshing. Would definitely go back.

I am on day ten of my Whole 30 meal plan, which is Paleo but more strict, and I was about to give up. This new place, right on the edge of the Brookfield Mall food court had a veggie and protein filled meal for under $10. Most of it was even organic. I also tried the Dr. Root's detox juice which is a beet base with other fruits and veggies and I feel amazing :-) I would heartily recommend anyone looking for a healthy inexpensive meal in the west Milwaukee area to try this place out!

Had the tastiest salad made with all of my favorite toppings and the orange poppy dressing was to die for! An unexpected treat in the mall food court!
