Went here on a Friday night. We were promptly seated even though they were really busy. I think the thing that really caused me to love this place was that I was able to order 1/4 a rack of ribs. I cannot usually eat a rack much less a half. The side salad, coleslaw and fritters that came with my ribs were well seasoned and amazing as well. The extra thing that puts this place over the top is the animals they have. It was really cool to walk out back and see them after dinner.

Great food awesome place Service was excellent the bbq was good had all kinds of bbq sauces all around the place rocks it's awesome stop on and have sown food there it's really good

Finally, a place that has separate friers. No cross contamination worries today. I'm having the sizzler burger with fries. The only reason it lost a star is the service is almost painfully slow. And it's not that crowded. Cool place though.

I finally found time to stop in at Timeline. Countless number of times have I driven past it on 29, but not last week. I enjoyed the pick 2 with brisket and ribs. Some of the best ribs I have had and will definitely be coming back. I think the kicker was getting them "naked" and served with 6 outstanding sauces. This is especially good because they have great burnt ends. I also am a huge cornbread fan and theirs is fantastic. Don't swing past Timeline, stop in!

You will not find better barbecue around. Excellent pulled pork, great brisket, reasonable prices. Check out the museum if you have time.

Service was fine, beer was cold and the brisket tasted like microwaved pot roast - - guessing the sauces were Cattlemen but it did fill the void!

I've driven by here countless times over the year driving between Green Bay and Minneapolis but only stopped in here recently for the first time. The first thing you'll notice when you walk in is the smell. It smelled awesome! The grill is in the same room as the seating so the great smelling BBQ perks your senses and make you hungry! I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was really good. They have a variety of BBQ sauces to choose from. This is highly recommended!

One of the latest additions to Doc's Harley-Davidson, Timeline Saloon & BBQ offers a menu of fare you would expect of any typical barbeque restaurant, however, a few technical miscues prove they have a long way to go before playing in the big leagues. Getting into the business of barbeque is serious, indeed. Tastes being so subjective toward spice and sauce, you need to be on your A-game when preparing and cooking the beef, chicken, and pork. Timeline stays true to Doc's H-D, with much of the hardware and finishing touches to the restaurant decor coming straight from the hog, but the last thing I expected to see on the bar's television screen was an ice skating competition, to be sure. The broasted chicken, roast corn on the cob, cornbread, and burgers all received a thumbs up. The ribs and brisket, however - two mainstays of any true BBQ restaurant - were a bit lacking. The restaurant smokes it's own ribs, and therefore the meat retains a pink coloring regardless of cook time. Unfortunately, the tenderness of the meat left much to be desired, and it was difficult simply to cut it off the rib bones even with the aid of a steak knife. The brisket was done to perfection, but it is general practice to remove the fat from the cut of meat after it's done roasting and before it's served. Timeline failed to follow this protocol, and I was left to pick through my plate in order to remove the 1/2 inch of fat from the then-muddled chips of brisket. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, then you may give the dish a higher rating. Overall, the food was good, but not extraordinary, and the few miscues proved to be major mistakes in the competitive BBQ market. Even the restaurant's home page spends more time on the merits of the original decor than the mastery of its recipes. A nice enough place to try if you're in the area, but the H-D gimmicks may be more of a draw than the food itself.

I have been to the Timeline a few times. I love the decor. Doc did a great job in designing the decor and I love all the wood along with the motorcycle parts, fans, light fixtures, wall decorations, and just about everything else you could imagine. Even the dividers in the mens' room are made of old mufflers. Some of the food has been great and others I would not order again. I love the brisket and the pulled pork, but order it naked and get the sauces on the side. I've ordered the ribs twice and will never order them again. They were tough both times and very difficult to get off the bone. The musket balls (corn fritters) are awesome especially dipped in the blueberry BBQ sauce. I would recommend a trip to Docs/Timeline for the whole family. Between the good food, the zoo and the car museum there is something to keep everyone busy for a couple hours.

It's funny, all the times I've had food here I've never once eaten in the restaurant, always taken it to go. This place is crazy busy, it doesn't seem to matter if it's the weekend, midweek, late, early, whenever, there is always a parking lot full of cars. I've only ever ordered the ribs to go but they are just so good I have to order them every time I'm there. The honey mustard BBQ sauce is to die for, very like a Georgia style sauce (my favorite). Sometime I'll have to eat in, but until then I'll enjoy the ribs I have in the fridge.

The BBQ here is done right. The last time I had ribs and brisket (combo platter) smoked to perfection, I was in Memphis. The brisket was chopped and tender with the right amount of smoky, tangy sauce. The ribs were smoked, pink, and tender (but not fall off the bone), consistent with smoking. I ordered sauce and it was ample, so if you like light handed sauce you may want it on the side. The portions are huge and the moderate prices are a good value. My husband's rack of ribs was Fred Flintstone sized. Interestingly, the soda was a treat-- bottled Sundrop and RC Cola in Mason Jars. The building and decor are interesting, especially because the location is remote. The remote location does not keep people away. While many things are done right, there is room for improvement: My Mac n' Cheese and my husband's fries were lukewarm, it was chilly in the restaurant and took a while to get comfortable, and there is an odd issue with the sound-- it is loud. Not the kind of place to go for intimate conversation. Also, the service was good, but the young server and hostess made etiquette mistakes. For example, my server was on the opposite end of the table and had me shouting my order over my husband. The noise level required me to repeat myself several times because the server could not hear me. The server was attentive, though, and on top of drink refills. I will come here again with my family, but only when I am up to a noisier environment. I was pleased with the brisket and ribs and I would like to try the smoked chicken.

Yummy!! If you love BBQ and are on the longest drive of your life with family this is the best place to stop. You can all fall out of the car eat some tasty grub, see a petting zoo, and motorcycle museum at the same time. Amazing!

Very solid 4/5. We arrived later on a Sat evening, large group. It was moderately busy. They anticipated a wait time of 45minutes or more. We decided to stick it out and ventured around to the vintage motorcycles (very cool) and zoo area (very....uh....??) I wouldn't go as far as to say inhumane but maybe unnecessary. The pirate ship was pretty neat. All in all, much more than we bargained for already. A hostess flagged us down not much more than 15 minutes later and had seating for our group. That was quick. Most of the group ordered typical BBQ joint fare. Ribs, chicken, brisket, etc. Food came out in a satisfactory amount of time and it all tasted very good. Much better than the chain type BBQ places. The sides were very good as well, I was particularly impressed with the potato salad. The variety of BBQ sauce is excellent. I didn't try all of them but the Hot & Spicy was my favorite. Not very spicy but great flavor. Beware of the Jack Daniels sauce, it is in fact, Jack Daniels and some BBQ sauce in a bottle. It will wake you up. We drove by the following Sunday afternoon and it was packed, though partly I'm sure for the Harley portion. Certainly doesn't phase me but some may not be interested in that crowd. Will come back. Very good food, fair prices, good service and bizarre (in a good way) atmosphere.

Tried to eat there on July 9th on my way to Green Bay. Got seated right away as it was a slow Wednesday night. There were only 7 or 8 tables with customers. After waiting 15 minutes for a waitress to come to my table, no one came. My wife and I got up and left.

Went back ere and the Brisket was out of this world. One of the best restaurants in NE Wisconsin for sure. Awesome place to visit!!!!!!

Really cool, unique location. Awesome decoration and a must-stop for any motorcycle and bbque aficionados. Maybe the best smoked meat I've ever had. The applewood adds the perfect flavor and color to the meat. The six Sauces were homeade and good and I liked that you had the option of no sauce in meat so you could try them all. Fresh and delicious cole slaw. Only slight downside was that ribs were reheated in the microwave and while they had incredible smoke and flavor, one edge was a bit chewy and dry. But don't let this dissuade you from coming!

As part of the Doc's Harley Davidson estate the atmosphere is definitely geared toward those that love motorcycles but its done in a classy way. It's kind of fun looking at all the ways motorcycle parts have been used to decorate the saloon and restaurant. Their specialty is BBQ so I ordered the combo platter of brisket, ribs and pulled pork to get a sample. Included with the order are two side dishes. I had the salad and corn bread. You can order your BBQ naked or with one of five sauces. I made the mistake of ordering mine with the sauce. The sauce was very good but the cook went overboard with the amount. I would definitely suggest ordering you BBQ naked and getting the sauces on the side. In fact when you do this you get a little of each of the five sauces. The BBQ was very good after I scraped away the excess sauce. The brisket and ribs had a great smoke flavor but the pork was a bit lacking in flavor. The meat was tender and you receive a very substantial portion. The salad was very fresh and crisp and the blue cheese dressing was fantastic. The corn bread is also very good and is soaked in honey. The "musket balls" aka fritters are also outstanding and work as a desert by themselves. Overall I would definitely return but would order my BBQ naked.

Great brisket lunch plate & loved that the six pack of BBQ sauces is brought to your table so you can choose which one or two or more to add on top. The cole slaw was one of the best I have ever had! We started with the fried cheese curds - these are the best we have ever had across Wisconsin! Our server was great too. After lunch we wandered around the quirky aspects of the property: camel, pig, buffalo, donkeys, goats, tortoise & crocodiles - yes, crocs! There is also a nice antique shop to wander through, very old & valuable motorcycles on display & a vintage hot rod car barn (we skipped this part). We will definitely be back again!

Ate here while visiting friends a few week ago and we were all impressed! I (and everyone) loved the corn fritters and thanks to a yelper's tip I enjoyed them with the blueberry sauce. All I have to say is WOW! Who would have thought I'd enjoy a corn fritter so much! They disappeared instantly. My only suggestion is that they would make a better dessert...especially with the blueberry heaven sauce. Being a vegetarian, I decided to try a pizza and it was yum. After trying the BBQ sauces (especially the hickory) I wished I had gotten a veggie burger. Everyone else got meat. My husband got some BBQ platter with I think 4 meats. He loved it all, but declared the chicken, the best ever. I was a little offended since I thought my chicken was the best, but props to them for pleasing the hubby. If the food isn't yummy enough, the atmosphere really kicks it up. I loved the paper towels and rustic charm. Even better, they have custard, and animals outside. Awesome.

Utterly surreal biker themed barbecue restaurant attached to a Harley-Davidson dealership. It's part of a kind of biker compound, designed--very effectively I'd say--to make this dealership in the middle of nowhere on Hwy 29 a kind of biker theme park and destination in its own right. There is a 1969 Dodge Charger mounted on a post high in the air, painted up as the General Lee of Dukes of Hazzard fame. It's being chased by a police cruiser, also mounted high on a post. This is Wisconsin, now. So these redneck beacons draw rednecks in like moths to a flame. The Saloon was packed to the gills with big bellied, gray haired, middle aged men dressed in black leather when I was there. Many were accompanied by their leathery old ladies, similarly dressed in biker drag. You get the impression that they probably looked pretty badass 25 years ago, but now they look like your uncle Bill and aunt Louise. There was a 20 minute wait for a table. The interior is made out of motorcycle parts. The barbecue was pretty decent for Wisconsin. I had the pulled pork plate. My brother had the brisket. They have a variety of house barbecue sauces. If you can stand to wait for a table, it's worth checking out, for the twisted factor alone. I liked it.
