Great service from a very friendly young waitress the chicken is absolutely legendary. It's an absolute do not miss. The cole slaw was nice and sweet, just the way I like it. The rye bread has a very strong flavor, something I'm not used to. I enjoyed it very much. Their potatoes are off the chain. A slice a whole potato and roasted with the chicken. Plus they serve it with a huge scoop of butter.

What I liked most about this place was how genuine it is. When I told the owner he got very good reviews on Yelp, he said "What's Yelp?" Great chicken and sides. Total Wisconsin interior. So worth the stop.

Yes, the broasted chicken is delicious, but that doesn't excuse ripping off your customers. Beware if you get your chicken "to go." It might not be what you expect. A chicken is traditionally cut into eight pieces. 2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 legs, and 2 wings. So one might think 12 pieces to go = 1 1/2 chickens. Not here. We picked up chicken on the way home last night but we didn't double check the bag before leaving. Our mistake! We expected 3 breasts, 3 thighs, 3 legs, and 3 wings. We received 1 breast, 4 thighs, 4 legs and 5 wings. And one mystery piece that looked to be part thigh, part wing. Not even one whole chicken. Yes, that is more than 12, but we didn't order all dark or get an all dark discount. They didn't say they were low on breasts and needed to substitute. We just got screwed. Maybe they treat you better if you eat in their restaurant. I won't be going back to find out. If you order to go, check your bag!

I have been coming here since I was a kid and the chicken is still the best chicken. It is not heavily breaded. It is moist and tender. If you like chicken - this is the place to try. This is not a fancy place - which makes it all the more fun to try. I promise you will not be disappointed.

When you see the GIANT CHICKEN STATUE on the side of the road you just know this place loves chicken and cooks a mean bird. After reading reviews we just had to see for ourselves We ordered a full bird which was served with dressing, gravy, broasted potato, cole slaw, cranberry sauce and a slice of buttered rye. We savored every bite of this crunchy, crispy, moist and flavorful bird and the sides. Alas, I could not give 5 stars as the cranberry sauce was from a can. Cranberry sauce is so easy to make and if it's a part of your daily rotation you should be making it fresh every day. Total for the meal and an iced tea for $20 bucks! I wish they'd open a place in Wausau and show Lee's how it;s done!!!! Our server was attentive without being annoying. She used her ESP to divine that I would need a take out container. Can't wait to come back.

This is the Best Broaster Chicken I have ever had. Well.....I've never really had broaster chicken before, and don't really know what broaster chicken is. If I had to guess, I would have guessed it was fried chicken. But, what do I know. I'm just a city girl passing through. When I told family that I was traveling through Antigo, WI this weekend I was told that Chet & Emil's 4 piece, all white meat broaster chicken was a Must Try on my way through. While traveling north on Hwy 45 make a left turn at the 8ft white chicken, drive 2 blocks and make a left. You will be able to smell it's deliciousness when you pull up out front. There are several different doors, one for the Motel, one for the bar, one for the bowling alley and one for Broaster Chicken. Regardless of which door you go in, they are very friendly and will point you in the direction of the dining room. If you are in a hurry, or have your dog in the car like I did, ask for it to go!! There is a nice covered patio out back, next to the park, with picnic tables. Chet & Emil's definitely has the Best Broaster Chicken in Hwy 45!!
