The Farm Kitchen has long provided the Baraboo area with quality food and excellent customer service. Its staff is exceptional and truly do all they can to ensure each patron has an enjoyable dining experience. From large-scale social occasions to a few quiet drinks at the bar, I have witnessed the amount of care and concern this venue places upon every event and group. If you are looking for a good meal, friendly atmosphere, and amazing service, you should check out the Farm Kitchen in Baraboo.

We stopped in there this evening for dinner. This is a casual mom & pop type of place and all I had hoped for was a nice meal. The menu is not extensive, they offered us a buffet but we chose to order from the menu. My chicken parmesan was served in an oval plate with garlic toast on the serving plate. When I picked up the toast there was a large black smudge on the plate. Right-oh dirty dishes not acceptable. I then started to look around and examine the room anew. The wall heater alongside the outside wall was filthy. The carpeting is just as dirty, as you exit you can see the bright areas where furnishings has protected the area but the whole place is just run down and grimy. The waitress came back to the table and asked if there was anything we needed and we just asked for the check. Both of our plates were scarcely touched and she wanted to know if we needed a to go bag and we said no. There was no question on her part of why didn't we eat out meals, she just whipped out the check. So either staff are not trained to be aware of issues or they just would prefer to tuck their tail under themselves and hope we leave quietly. Sure we are just tourists and won't be back in this area but that is no way to create a good vibe for your restaurant.

We were camping nearby and stopped in for breakfast. It is a buffet for 7.95--cheap! Not everything is great, but they had a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, tons of bacon and sausage and the best biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fresh and hot and the gravy was homemade with big chunks of sausage. Totally worth it if you are near Baraboo or Devil's Lake!

We stopped in for breakfast early on a Saturday morning as we were passing through. The place was very clean, bright, and cheery. There was only one person working and she did the cooking, the waiting, and seating people. I am not sure if we were just early or because it's February they are not that busy. The food was freshly prepared and hot. I would definitely recommend people check it out if they are passing through.

I have never written a review but seeing that Farm Kitchen has no reviews - I feel the need to verbalize, so people know this place is worth a stop. We stop at Farm Kitchen typically on Sunday mornings while on vacation at Wisc Dells. It's a little bit of a drive but completely worth it. My father-in-law came to Farm Kitchen as a child. It is a must stop for him. I don't believe it is something you would ever find unless you knew about it. It is a family run business, and it has a very homey feel to it. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. A good selection of cut up fresh fruits - cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, pineapple, raspberries and blackberries, peaches, along with cottage cheese. A dessert table with various items, mini eclairs, coffee cakes, danishes, donuts and cakes. Pancakes that really are the best tasting pancakes I have ever had. Hot Syrup, in what might be a slow cooker - not sure. Eggs, Bisquits and Gravy, Bacon, Sausage, Hash, Potatoes, casseroles, ham. I will try and upload pictures later. They also have other buffets, dinner and I think lunch too - we tried the dinner for the first time this year. It was a Friday evening, so it was a fish night. I would say it was also good, but I am not a huge fish person - but I did manage to try frog legs for the first time, and even got my daughter to try them. What I did eat was good though, didn't take any pictures of that buffet tho. A vacation to the Dells for our family would be incomplete without a stop here.

we stopped in for "lunch" at 3pm after severely overestimating our hiking skills at nearby devil's lake state park. the host was nothing but gracious, despite our arrival at a totally weird time, just before the start of their weekly pot roast buffet. the fare reminds me of the small town restaurants of my childhood and is served with the same friendly care and generous portions I remember. I had a turkey club that was one of the best i've ever eaten, crispy bacon, real/fresh/non-deli turkey, juicy tomatoes, perfect toast. It was really good, and i'm not usually one to rave about a turkey club. since i was not fortunate enough to grow up in wisconsin, i don't remember fried cheese curds from my local spots, but we had some here and they were, of course, delicious. they serve them the only correct way - with ranch (take that, marinara!). our waitress was utterly charming, and so patient with my indecisive and cranky-after-three-hours-wandering-in-the-woods children and even offered them a sweet from the buffet. great place.

Filthy. Poor quality food. There's better close by.

Went on a Sunday morning and had the buffet. It was so good, with the best Bacon and sausage links I think I ever had. Give it a try.

Love this place! Service is always great, I go for the Sunday buffet and I've never had to complain about anything. I usually go early so, it's never crowded and the price is the best. I can't comment on any other time to go here because I'm only around for breakfast on Sundays.
