Delicious BBQ and excellent burgers! Fans of spicy food, try the Mac and Cheese! We had good service and food for not too hefty a price.

Service was very poor and my food was average at best. We waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks ordered and even longer to get our food. I had the burnt ends, which were like sliced rib meat. I do not recommend this place.

Relative to Smokey Bones and Dinosaur BBQ, I think that this joint is towards the bottom of the three. It's not that it's bad, it's just that for $20 for a third of a rib slab, it's expensive, and not impressive. I guess there's just not a whole lot good BBQ in this neck of the woods, otherwise I don't see how a place like this could survive.

The entire jist of my review is that we waited a long time to have rude service. The food is the only reason it's not one star. Keep reading if you want details. Stopped in last Sunday on our way from MN to Chicago. We have been going here at least once a year when we stay in the Dells, so we were excited to make the stop for some good BBQ. Well, we stood at the front desk waiting for someone to seat us for a few minutes; she finally showed up and directed us upstairs where we had to stand and wait for another hostess for another few minutes. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying. They sat us at a small table between the bar and a private dining room where they were hosting a private party for one of the off-duty staff members. The young guests of the private party, who obviously were also employees at the restaurant normally, kept going back and forth from the room to the bar and hovering over our table while they talked to each other in a European language of some sort. Very distracting and was incredibly obnoxious while we were sitting there trying to talk to each other while enjoying a nice meal. There were literally only 4 tables taken in the entire upstairs, so why they chose to seat us there is beyond me. Anyway, they sat us at the table and then we proceeded to wait for nearly 10 minutes for a waiter/waitress to even acknowledge us. As I said, there were only four other tables of guests and we counted 6 waiters/waitresses, so not sure what the problem was. Finally a waitress came up and, in a huff, said "well, I guess I'll just take care of you." Really? Cause we don't have to eat here if it's an inconvenience for you!!! Now, unfortunately we won't be coming back here when we stay in the Dells next month, or the following year, or the year after that...

Not a chain we have where I'm from. Very cool atmosphere very good food as well. Wide selection of sauces to accompany just about anything that you may order.

Love how consistent the food is. The perfect staple. Never had bad ribs. My favorite St Louis ribs are the best ever. Perfect smoke ring every time. Super tender. Just never disappointed. A++ will definitely be back.

Pretty good! We had a large party but everything came out hot and fresh. Food was tasty and they have a decent allergen menu. The 4 stars are mostly for our server. She was fast, nice, funny and efficient. Great job!

Delicious food. Smells got our mouths watering the moment we sat down. Wait staff could have payed a little closer attention to us.

We should have known when we walked in last night, at prime dinner time, and the place was more than half empty, that we made a bad decision eating here...but we proceeded to stay anyway, and see what this place was all about. BAD CHOICE!!! 4 out of 6 of us got Ribs, and they were AWFUL. The meat was tough, not fresh, tasted nasty, and we could not believe that the membrane was not even pulled off of the ribs. DISGUSTING!!! We are here from Chicago, enjoying our annual family trip, and this was definitely the worst dining experience we have EVER had up here. $150 down the drain. If all Famous Dave's locations are like this one, the chain will be out if business soon. Not sure how the heck they have all of these "World's Best Ribs" banners up in the place. What a joke!!!

I Love this Famous Dave's. It's right across from Kalahari and Tanger Outlet Mall. I dropped my wife at the mall and then got takeout from there. They had awesome service. The bar had Sprecher's Root Beer ON TAP!! While I waited for my order. One of the highlights of my trip to the Dells.
