Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Toppers, Toppers, Toppers. Apparently this is *the* place to get your late-night pizza fix for local Lawrence University students. I've eaten here a few times and here are my to-the-point impressions. Likes: -Regular Topperstix. These are the shining star of this place! Don't fool yourself into thinking a single order can be shared. Always go for that triple order. I haven't tried the other options (bacon, cinnamon, etc) because the regular are that good. -Deals. With a little research, you can find some kind of deal going on here. The last time I went, there was a one-topping large pizza + single order Topperstix deal for only $15. A good deal! We stuffed our faces and still had leftovers. Meh (because I don't truly 'dislike' anything about Toppers): -Pizza. It's just okay. I'm from Chicago and I have had so much better. Unless you're using a deal, I would recommend skipping the pizza and just sticking to the sinfully delicious Topperstix. -Generally, the food is better as leftovers heated up in the oven the next day. Then, the pizza has some great crisp to it. Will I be back? I'm sure I will be the next time I happen to be in the little apple.

Ah, changes changes changes...to the thin crust pizza. Nothing flaky, fresh or crispy about this pizza crust. So chewy, we took off the toppings to eat.The underside of crust looks like the one, you can purchase at a discount bakery, with the small little holes underneath the crust. Not in store made!! Not much cheese on the toppings, not nearly how they used to make their pizzas. Looks as if they are trying to save $ by cutting corners. Two 14' thin crust pizzas inedible. Toppers went downhill with tough crust as toppings got smaller and smaller. It used to be my favorite place for pizza delivered to my work.

Toppers is open until 3 AM, so you can imagine the clientele who depend on this joint to satisfy late night munchies. Any person who lives in Appleton or maybe who has experienced its nightlife can tell you about Toppers! Whether I'm out on the Ave. with friends or I'm having a late night in my dorm room with a term paper, Toppers is the place to go (or order). So maybe the pizza isn't amazing quality or anything, but it fills you up and really satisfies you. The thing with that pizza, too, is that it is pretty much impossible to eat just one piece. Once I ate four pieces like it was nothing! What I completely CRAVE, though, are the Topperstix. Every time I'm back in Appleton, I have to include Topperstix into my plan somehow. Just for fun: My favorite Toppers memory is when Barack Obama first won the election in 2008 and Toppers had $3 that night. A bunch of friends and I walked over there late at night, each picked up a big ol' pizza, and walked down College Ave carrying our boxes. I don't think I've ever eaten more pizza in one night! Tip: A lot of time there are coupons, so always ask if there is a special when placing your order. I have gotten some incredible deals that way! Also, there are only two tables, so don't necessarily count on eating there.

Doesn't deliver to addresses on the same street in which it's located on. Customer service is non-existent. Pizza is average and the prices are way too high. No real reason to go here as there are many surrounding pizza places that excel in the areas that Toppers fails in.

My husband has lived in Appleton his whole life and has been ordering (and TIPPING well) for years. It's the 1st place he recommended when I moved in with him in 2010. We ordered often, but recently had a Mexican-style pizza delivered to our home that had raw pizza dough and fell apart as we picked up a slice. There was hardly any good toppings on it, but a load of tortilla chips slopped over the whole pizza. My husband wrote a complaint and received no response or apology from the company. I called about a month later to ask them to take us off their mailing list (I truly didn't want any advertisements from them). The manager (I believe her name was Michelle) asked for a reason so I told her our experience. She took our names and phone # down and promised to get back to us. The company never did. Never stepping foot in this place again. If this is the way they do business, by not taking their loyal customers seriously, then they are slowly going to lose them throughout the years. Any good business owner knows the golden rule of business...that it's harder to make new customers than it is to keep the old ones. We were pretty offended by how we were treated/disregarded. We are now very loyal fans of the Glass Nickel Pizza Co., and I'm sure they're enjoying our very generous tips too.

My buddy Paul says it's super heady dank munch. Just don't take too many wiskey shots before you get here, you'll be hurt in your sleep.

I've never had the pizza and that is because you should never order anything at Toppers other than the world famous Topperstix. Easily in my top 5 favorite foods. They are cheesy, garlic, dough pillows from heaven. You're welcome!!!

Topper's has great specialty pizzas. I especially like the Tuscan Chicken pizza. The sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and fresh basil will send your taste buds dancing!

Was staying at the Country Inn and had delivery, it was great pizza, we had the taco beard sticks pizza also and it was delicious.

Not gonna lie, I love me some Topper's! They tend to be conveniently located on college campuses, so it's a stretch for us to come down to College Ave just for pizza. If we are in the area, it is our #1 choice for franchise pizza. Triple order of Tacostix and whatever specialty pizza that catches the eye that day for the win!

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a little tipsy. A few beers over at Jim's Place (an upcoming Yelp). But I was compelled to remove my laptop from it's TSA-approved carrying case to connect to the Hotel wifi to Yelp about Topper's pizza as soon as I coudl. It's that good. Food is a must after a few beers and this place was open until 3AM so PERFECT. We ordered a 16" (medium) pizza and they let you order half-n-half's. We got a half-Taco and half-buffalo pizza (thanks to the dude behind the counter for the buffalo pizza suggestion). AND DUDE, IT'S AMAZING! The taco pizza half was loaded with seasoned ground beef, tcheddar cheese, lettuce, tortilla strips, tomatoes, and olives. Picked out the olives, gross. The buffalo half featured with perfectly sized chicken bits and smothered in a delicious buffalo sauce. And it was so good. Despit the olives. And without even asking, they included ranch. bleu cheese, salsa AND sour cream with the ordre without having to request it. Friendly staff who asked if we needed plates, and all of the other accoutrements that I cannot remember. The facility was clean & inviting too. I was only planning on eating one slice but I've had 4, one of which I'm enjoying as I type. I'll have to clean the cheese and salsa from my laptop keyboard tomorrow morning!

A couple of good things on the menu can't overcome the sheer lack of customer service. Unfortunately, it's not just the local establishment but the cooperation itself as online complaints have been as fruitful as local complaints. I do not plan on giving this establishment or any others in the chain a single additional penny after years of loyalty. If you have to eat here order the topperstix or the hangover helper, but everything else on the menu is done better at other pizzerias within walking distance!
