When you have a big group of people it can be tricky to find a place that you can all go. And that will do separate checks for a mixed group. Thankfully Perkins is always a great place to go. I love Perkins and it brings back many memories of 12 am (or later) breakfast runs in college. Our server was great about splitting our checks. The food was good as always. Plus with a menu like Perkins, everyone can find something they like. I only wish I had gotten some pie.

In all fairness, I cannot speak for the food because I didn't get the chance to try it. My husband and I walked into the entryway and smelled sewer. The restaurant itself didn't smell much better and the carpet looked disgusting. We couldn't take the smell so we immediately left. This restaurant is in major need of some updates; until they do, we will not be back.

I came here with my family and we took up half of one of the dining rooms, and they were very good to us and got out food in a timely manner and brought fresh drinks when needed, even though there were like 20 of us. I got a Belgian waffle with strawberries on top, some over-easy eggs, and bacon, it was pretty good, and very filling, I couldn't even finish my waffle and I gave half of it to my cousin.

Added this to my list of "never again" restaurants last night. My daughter worked until 8:30 at Starbucks, so my husband, sister-in-law, and I picked her up after work and went to have a late dinner at Perkins. She gets a free drink after work, so she was carrying her passionfruit iced tea as she walked into into Perkins. The host would not allow her to carry it in "because people try to bring in alcohol all the time". OK, fair, back to the car it went, though the point could have been made without the snarky alcohol comment. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress, who seemed to be the only server for about 6 tables. She was pleasant--the single bright spot in an otherwise dismal visit. Three of us ordered breakfast items, and I had a salad. After placing our orders, we waited 40 minutes for our food--simply way too long. When the items arrived, my husband's bacon was missing. Our waitress explained they had run out of bacon and had to buy more (a breakfast spot, out of bacon?), but it was on the grill and would be out shortly. When it arrived, he received 4 strips of paper thin bacon that was lower quality than any breakfast buffet. When we paid for our meal, we decided to take advantage of the "buy 3, get 3 free" offer on baked goods. Muffins were $2.39 each, and brownies were $1.99. We tried to order 5 muffins and one brownie, but the host (of "can't bring your tea in" fame) would not sell the muffin because "they are not the same price point". Hey, it's CHEAPER! and we weren't going to squabble about the 20 cents you would have owed us. Yep, never again. I could have bought breakfast ingredients and had a better experience cooking at home than this experience at Perkins.

Great food and great staff!! Love it there! The staff is already very friendly when you go there. Best breakfast restaurant in Appleton!

For a 24 hour diner I can say the service by our waiter was great and the food was good too, although we didn't have any desert they all looked very good. Everyone was super nice and friendly

It's always been my hangout place growing up with night out of clubbing. Usually good service and within the last year or so they finally upgraded their menu to look more "iHOP"ish

Sitting around after a busy night at the bar, we all asked each other, "who's cooking?". It was so quiet, you could hear the crickets chirping. After serving food to the multitudes all evening, who want's to cook? well, here in the Valley, our choices of late night real food are limited. Pizza, burgers....we wanted breakfast. I wanted potato pancakes so I said, let's go to Perkins. Ya, ya this is a chain. We have all seen the type, large cafeteria, decorated in early Grandma country style with farm implements on the walls. But... As the rest of the city knows, this is the place to come after bars close. Even with all of the riffraff, the waitresses still were polite and freindly. Even at our table, during conversation and a few f-bombs, our server still laughed with us. Good on her. She allowed one of my freinds to order sunnyside eggs with a sandwich instead of fries and was prompt in bringing out more steak sauce and jelly. Unawares, she was serving restaurant owners, managers and servers and she passed with flying colors. (yes, we tend to be hard on other servers.) We had a great time. Even if I got a face full of smoke..(thanks alot Frankie!) Smoking is allowed here, as it is outside of city limits. perkinsrestaurants.com/h…
