Another great meal at dick and Joan's. Whenever in Appleton we make a point of eating at Dick and Joan's. The staff is great, friendly and really work hard to make sure you enjoy your meal. The food is simply great. Let's start with the SUPPER CLUB staple of the salad bar. It's got all the goodies, cheese and crackers and HOT BACON DRESSING. Absolutely greats broiled steaks are always perfectly done. You ask for medium rare and that's exactly what you get. Great cooks. One more note, the on-site baked table bread is simply fabulous. I cannot recommend this place enough and I am always telling my friends about this place. Wonderful every time.

Went for fish on a Friday. It was delicious and freshly fried. The salad bar leaves much to be desired but at least they have one. The bread was wonderful. It was quite busy in the bar area but we were seated immediately. We will stop in again.

2.5/5. We went here on several recommendations for a group dinner. It was a big bowl of ok. The service was fair and the prices were pretty reasonable. The food was just ok. The only stand out thing was the bacon dressing on the salad bar. It sounds weird but it's actually pretty good. I would certainly go again if someone else wanted to but I'd probably go elsewhere where if it was my choice.

If you are looking for great perch on a Friday night, this is the #1 place in the Fox Cities!

This is the best supper club around. Consistently superior to all others. The prime rib and seafood are to die for. It doesn't get any better than this.

We had a fantastic meal here. The Supper Club is all but extinct where I come from so I could not wait to try Dick & Joan's. It was everything I hoped for; salad bar with iceberg lettuce, hot bacon dressing and all the fixings. I ordered the Combination of Petite Sirloin and Fried Haddock. While waiting for dinner we enjoyed the salad bar and warm homemade bread. Then, voila, dinner was served. The fish had a thin and crispy batter fried to perfection. My steak was cooked precisely as ordered and was flavorful and tender. It was paired with a twice-baked potato that was marvelous. And the service and friendliness of the staff was divine. I can't wait to go back!!

Dick & Joan's never disappoints! Had their steak & perch special. Both were prepared perfectly. The salad bar is a little limited, but everything is very fresh. The clam chowder is excellent. Their bread (always baked fresh and piping hot) is to die for!

Great WI Supper Club! This is our favorite Place in the Valley. If your a Liver & Onions fan you've found your spot. Have had the Tenderloin too - always cooked to perfection!

We've been going to Dick & Joan's for years and it's amazing. They have a bar when you first come in the door with an area for seating while you wait for your table. On weekends there can be up to a 1 hour wait to get into the dining room, but it's well worth it. They have a great salad bar that always looks well serviced and has a good variety of toppings as well as 1 or 2 soups. They have prime rib on Saturdays I believe and I can't go there and get anything else. Their prime rib is one of the best in the area for sure. They also have a tenderloin for 2 that comes with 2 potatoes which is also very good. They don't have sweet potatoes as an option for those who don't like baked potatoes, but they do have French fries. I've never tried the dessert at Dick & Joan's because I'm always so full from the meal. Overall, it's a must in the Appleton area.

My family and I have been going to Dick and Joan's for well over 40 years. My kids tell us of their cravings to go here while they still live in Minneapolis. Tonight was the worst experience I have ever had there. Don't get me wrong, the food was outstanding! We arrived just after 5:30 and we went to the bar to order a drink. I asked Pat, the owner, for menus and to send us a waitress when he could. We had 2 children under 9 years old with us. I watched several people that came in after us order and be seated before us. I understand that happens once in a while but, we were a family of 5 not a huge group by any stretch. Finally, I stopped a waitress and told her we had been waiting over 2 hours, what was the problem. She said she would get another waitress for us and in about 20 minutes one showed-up. No pleasantries just, ...what do you want to order. No problem, I'll have another drink while waiting. We were not seated until after 9:15. We finally left the restaurant more than 4 hours after we got there. PAT!!! Install a numbering system or we won't be coming back.

We love it here. The salad bar is a little small compared to other supper clubs but everything is delicious and fresh. Always packed and has an older crowd but we like that.

My wife and I eat here all the time. The ribeye is to dye for. It always is prepared the way I order it. The old fashions are the best in town. A for sure win!!!

Went there for a nice week night dinner with my mom and husband. We put our name on the list upon arriving and when we were ready to be seated we walked to the waitress station and was told we would be put on the waiting list. Finally after waiting much too long we were seated and I had to get up to get someone to get us drinks because when we asked our waitress she told us "it will be awhile." I don't think that's very proper waitressing etiquette. Food was alright, but unfortunately due to the very poor service, I will not be going back, there are much better choices in the Appleton area.

Went here with a group of 10 for a birthday party. May I recommend you get reservations ahead of time! This was my 1st time here and I don't know when I will be going back. The parking lot in the middle of winter is crazy snowy/icy. THere's a large hole full of water and slush right by the corner of the building. Heck of a time trying to maneuver that by foot or vehicle. There is only 1 flood light and it's on the building. Initially walking into the building you're at the bar. There is no direction as to who to talk to to get a table. For a supper club in NE Wisconsin it's typical, low lighting, busy as heck and hard to get a drink. The bar area was shoulder to shoulder people and no one would let you past them , nor the bartender notice you in order to get a drink. It also smells like a pool. After forming a line in the small hallway between the bar and dining room, speaking to the bartender and 2 of the waitstaff we finally find someone that knows we have a reservation and are directed to a table. We had 2 servers , which became a juggling act when ordering drinks trying to figure out which one would take care of which guest. The dining room again was dimly lit and was surprisingly cold. Hearing that this place is known for steaks I ordered the steak and haddock combo. The steak wasn't bad, cooked and seasoned well, the fried haddock was sadly frozen and then fried. Upon receiving out checks we were asked to pay them at the bar. So again we form another line at the bar with other guests to pay who commented," ...It's going to take us as long to pay as it did waiting for our food! " Which is somewhat true, the system could use a little stream lining.

I was hesitant to write because I want to keep this my secret, but there's no way this is a 3 star place. Fish fry great! Prime rib melts in your mouth and get the king cut so you can have it the next day with the fresh bread they let you take home. Salad bar is average but don't waste the room in your stomach, just pile in the excellent steak. Oh yeah wash it down with their great old fashions.

This is the best steak house in all of Appleton area. I have been eating here since I was a little girl. Every year for my birthday I treat myself to Dick and Joan's. Try the Tenderloin and Shrimp Scampi. Plus you get the softest, yummiest bread served every time. I also love the chive cheese and sesame sticks on the salad bar. Finish your meal off with a tasty Brandy Alexander. You will not be disappointed.

We tried this place before Jersey Boys and all four of us were disappointed . The building's moldy, musty smell, which they tried to cover up with many air fresheners, almost made me gag. The food was just ok. The selections on the menu were limited. The salad bar needed to be refilled in many items. We won't be returning!

Wonderful Fish Fry! Woot

On Saturday, they have wonderful prime rib! The old fashions are great! The only thing that is confusing is that when you walk in, you are expected to go to the bar and get a menu and wait for a waitress to take your order; there is no hostess. Other than that, it is a classic Wisconsin supper club!
