This review is actually for Deja Vu's sister bar "The Monkey Bar" located right on top of Deja Vu. The Monkey Bar is my ABSOLUTE favorite bar hangout in Appleton. Their drinks are fabulous and the atmosphere is fun, the bartenders rock too!!

This is hands down the best stop in Appleton. I travel the world as a musician, stopping in many cities. Nowhere on the planet has the menu and friendly service in one as this place. World class entertainment in one of the friendliest places on earth. The interior is amazing, boasting that swanky high society feel, but anyone is welcome. If you want a place to chill or impress someone, go to Deja Vu.

I have been here a few times and appreciate the dim, lounge environment. There is a large martini selection so that held a lot of promise. The first time I went, we took a seat at the bar. The bartender was attentive, and talked a good game when it came to his martini-mixing abilities. His heart was in the right place, but when I tasted my grey goose martini, there was enough vodka in it to grow hair on me chest! The second time I came with my cousins and sat at a table, except this time the bar was crazy crowded and it took forever to get a drink. I could understand this more if again, I did not get a drink where the flavor of the alcohol overpowered all. A cool place and a steal if a heavy pour is your thing!

This was a stop on a recent girls' night out, and it was a pretty good one. They had a live band going, so it was LOUD, but we received prompt service at the fairly crowded bar and were offered a drink menu immediately (I hate places that have lots of specialty drinks but don't give you a menu!). Drinks were made promptly, were tasty, and were strong! A bit pricey for Appleton -- expect to pay $10-12 per drink -- but I'd say we got our money's worth. So be prepared to spend a little, but it'll be a good time.

If you want a kinda fancy drink in Appleton you could come here. The particular martini I got was distinctly "meh" but I may have just chosen a meh-kind-of-martini. My sister's drink was delicious. The live music was pretty good, too.

Nice happy hour spot. Huge martini list and they're only $6 at happy hour. Haven't been here at night but it could definitely be fun. Bartender Jess was quick to take our order and make sure we didn't go thirsty.

Like stepping back in time, Speakeasy vibe. Great Happy Hour with $6 Martini's with 3 pages to choose from. Several other pages of cocktails. Bartender took time to squeeze from fresh lemon for wife's drink and I had the Gotham, Vodka, Blackberry Brandy and Black Sambuca. Strong and delicious. Hope to make it back soon.

Nice bar. Looks a little sketchy from the outside but it is nice inside. Free live music on a Saturday night was very nice. Not having to pay a cover is rare. The bathrooms were clean but small. Overall a nice experience.

I've been to this bar many times and have nothing but an excellent time! Whether you want martinis or even just a beer, they have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. The staff are great at what they do and always a pleasure to chat with. They have live music throughout the week so there always seems to be something going on when I stop in which keeps it fun!

Overpriced and pretentious, but delicious drinks. Bartenders are inattentive...the wait time for drinks is too long. Very dimly lit and cozy atmosphere.

A great place to listen to music and have some cocktails! There martini selection is so big and the bartenders skills are so amazing. They have beer on tap and in bottles if cocktails aren't your thing as we'll. They also put on these awesome theme night like zombie prom, 80's parties, along with the New Years bash which is legendary! You won't be disappointed here if your looking for a place to listen to some great music and try some new cocktails!

Art deco inspired Martini bar. Intimate atmosphere with cozy nooks to snuggle with someone special. Live music most weekends. Drinks are top shelf and varied. My favs? The Bloody Martini and the Purple Penis( this r-rated martini menu is available, just ask) If you are hungry, try the Thai Chicken pizza imported from Cy's Asian Bistro in Neenah. Its the bomb!! Monkey Bar is upstairs from DejaVu(open Fri and Sat night) and is a tropical-themed small bar. Very Caribbean in feel, the decor is tasteful. No martinis up here, mostly rum-infused specialty cocktails. Fun to hang here but if you want some privacy, head downstairs to a couch in the dimly-lit corners of DejaVu. Bring your wallet!
