In short, this is a nice CEC located on the westside of good ol' Appleton near the mall. It is a relatively retro Chuck E. Cheese that is unremodeled and has artwork from the early-mid '90s and so on and so forth. Appleton has a "Studio C Alpha", which is a 1-character animatronic show with the mascot in a latenight-esque atmosphere with the feeling of SNL. This Studio C Alpha is in pretty good condition. The curtains that open/close during show segments are working, and unlike a lot of animatronic shows like this, the neon lights above the stage are working and they still have the original "gemini" disco lights working. Oh, and should I also mention that when you walk in this location, you'll notice it doesn't smell like sweaty feet in there like most other CEC's. My experience with the staff here was pretty good, however when I walked in, there was one of the managers looking at me funny. He was an okay dude though, no problems. Katie is awesome! Very good educated girl that knows her CEC history. The new games are okay, but it's mostly crapfare like the Guitar Hero Arcade game and those "Fast and the Furious" arcade games. There's the Super Shot basketball game that is very addicting to play, so plunk some tokens into that. Their SkyTubes play area is huge, and that's something to expect out of an unremodeled CEC. As much as I love CEC pizza, I did not try the pizza at this location when I visited. All I had was a soft drink and $5 of tokens. Would I recommend taking your kids there? Yeah... if your kids are younger despite the low-volume gross, they will probably enjoy this location. But when they get older they may either want to go to Funset Boulevard or the CEC in Green Bay (which I never been to).
