Great place if you like to have a drink at the bar while your table is prepared. Casual/informal dining with a decent selection of items on the menu. I had the "Ziggy Special" (bone-in NY Strip steak) and it was properly cooked (and of such size that I will get 2 meals out of it.) It was our 1st visit however we will go back.

Classic Green Bay supper club restaurant. If you are going to go on a Friday or Saturday GET A RESERVATION. We got there on a Saturday night and the place was packed. My folks were in town for the weekend and my mom is pretty picky and my Dad just wants a good old fashioned. When we got there went right to our table. The service wasn't great, but I understood why. Our waitress was very nice and was doing all she could to get us whatever we needed. The major problem was that she was super super busy. So I recommend going in with a calm attitude and just enjoy the atmosphere and good folk all around. The food was good. One of the tastier prime ribs I have had in Green Bay. The biggest thing about Ziggey's is that there menu is simple. Steak, Fish, Chicken. Plus on top of that there prices are so reasonable. I got a Prime Rib plate and got soup, potato for 14 dollars. I highly recommend that you check out Ziggey's at least once a year if not more. We took our 4 year old daughter which was fine but I recommend bringing older kids because of the wait. For those looking for a great bar Ziggey's has it. Didn't get to spend much time in the bar but what I will say is that their Old Fashioned's were mighty tasty as well. Will go back again for sure.

well let's say for someone from out of town, this will be the first and ONLY visit to Ziggey's. Walked in to find they don't take credit cards, a real turn-off (at least they had an ATM machine). Had a reservation, arrived about 10 minutes early and were immediately seated, given 2 menus for 3 people. At this point the wait began and continued, as waitresses continually walked past us but no one stopped. I finally went to the hostess (20 minutes after our arrival) and she said oh my, I forgot to tell your waitress you're already at the table. After another 10 minutes, our waitress came to the table and we placed our order. Another 15 minutes before we got our salads and soup, still no relish tray or bread. That finally arrived about 10 minutes later. Our meals, well we can say took awhile. Each of us ordered the tenderloin plate with baked potato and FINALLY 40 minutes after placing the order, dinner arrived. Mediocre food but my wife says my steaks on the grill at home are better. Next time we visit my mother-in-law, we will chosse a MUCH BETTER restaurant for dinner.

This place is classic. Always packed with locals on Fridays and Saturdays, you may have to wait an hour for a table unless you have a reservation. It is well worth the wait. There is a full bar as well as complimentary cheese, crackers and popcorn to munch on while you wait. Once you get to your table you will find it already equipped with more hors d'oeuvres, fresh bread and water. The fish and seafood is good but Ziggy's is really about steaks. The prices are extremely reasonable. I recommend the prime rib, medium rare; one of the best I have ever had. Prime rib with soup or salad, potato and dessert will cost you about $14. Its a steal and has true local flair. I highly recommend it!

This was our first trip to a supper club and we didn't quite know how it all worked. We had to ask the bar staff, and they politely answered our questions. The tradition of having a brandy old fashioned is the best part. The bar and Ziggys is old, but has a nostalgic feel. The dining room is just plain old, and packed full of old people! It could definitely use a bit of updating (but not a modernization... Just make it feel like I'm not dining in a nursing home). Food was hot and filling. I got a French onion soup (the onions seemed to have been softened but not caramelized, and thus the soup took on a sort of harsh onion flavor. Still bubbling hot and completely edible) and the small ribeye cooked medium (too salty, a thin cut and a bit fatty. But again, completely edible). I did wish we had more relish on the relish tray. Also, we never figured out what all of the crackers were for? Anyone know?? We will be back as its only a few blocks from our house... Otherwise it might be a place to go once to know what it was like to eat there 40 years ago!

we always drove past this place refusing to go because they don't take credit cards, but we finally tried it. This is one of those places that you would call "old school Green Bay". Also we felt very young being there. Hubby had the T-bone and I had the sauteed shrimp. Steak was cooked perfect and was very tender and the Shrimp was tasty. The service was good and the babies got a lot of attention from all the grand-parents in the clientele. We would definitely go back!

We will NEVER go back to Ziggy's again. For 2 of us, our bill was $90 and it wasn't like we ordered anything that tasted fantastic or was a big portion. I had seen other reviews talking about how big portion sizes were in the past. That didn't apply tonight. And what's even crazier, $11.00 of the bill was for a Diet Pepsi and a Mountain Dew! Are you kidding me? Upon arrival at this supper club, they have you check in and then sit in the bar. Ok, we ordered our two drinks (that bill for two small sized cups of soda was $3). Then throughout dinner we each had a few refills. What they don't ever say is that ever time your drink gets refilled with plain old soda, you'll be charged all over again with a price increase. I can't ever remember a restaurant (especially one that charges $60 for a mediocre meal) that keeps charging for pop. We thought maybe there was a billing error so we asked our waiter. Nope, he confirmed the bill was correct. A waitress at a neighboring table snidely agreed and looked at us like we were crazy for asking such an absurd question. Pardon us for not being ok with paying for the equivalent of a case of soda. The steak tasted tough and charred on the outside but was raw on the inside. That's not exactly how I envisioned a med-rare tenderloin. But they probably charge extra for that, too. The lobster tail (although they said it was very sweet) was bitter. I will say the fresh veggies (celery and carrot sticks) were good that come on the table. But I wouldn't recommend anything else about the place. It's old and the bathrooms were dirty. None of the waitresses or hostess ever once smiled. And with so many other great restaurants serving steak and seafood in Green Bay and the surrounding areas (and normal complimentary refills on soda), it's a wonder this place is even still in business. And thank goodness we had enough cash with us (not that we were expecting our bill to be so outrageous), because they don't take credit cards. ----- And just a side note, since the manager wasn't there when we were finished, we called her the next day and she said that most restaurants in Green Bay will always charge per soda refill. She said that's perfectly normal. Uhhhh...... I don't think so.

We just love this place!!! The food, service, drinks, and prices are incredible. Our server is usually Melanie who is always so friendly and efficient. We try to get to Ziggy's at least once a month. Keep up the great work!

Great steak and crab legs. Huge portions with great flavor. A bit outdated, but a good family experience.

Wow all the 60 and above family and friends like this place. I thought it was over priced and the was not good! Ziggies needs an update and compare prices with other local restaurants. Our bill for two was over 50 dollars which included 2 drinks. Bad food!

Ziggy's is a real "old school" Green Bay supper club. That works great, I guess, if you know the rules, but if you don't, be prepared for bad service. We apparently broke the rules because we didn't want to order at least two drinks in the bar before going in to dinner. Then, when my father in law asked for fat free salad dressing (instead of the dressing which had obviously sat in the three-dressing server for quite some time) the waitress literally threw it on the table as she walked past, presumably to wait on some good customers. I admit, the steak was decent, but certainly not worth the experience.

The food is good, but slow service and we didn't get everything we were supposed to get. My wife and I ordered french onion soups. They came in plain soup bowls without cheese melted on top. We saw other soups being served in another dining area in traditional bowls with the handle and cheese on top. According to the menu three of us were supposed to get coffee or milk with our dinners but they never came. My wine had sediment at the bottom of the glass. Our order took a long time. After we flagged down another waitress she found our server. She explained one medium rare sirloin steak was taking long because it was a very thick. Even though the food is good and a reasonable price, I've since learned people we know don't go back to Ziggy's because of the service. On the plus side they did have our reserved table and relish tray ready for us when we arrived. If they could figure out how to manage the floor better this place would be great.

We have been to Ziggys several times so decided it was a great place to celebrate 30 yrs of marriage, so we did with just one other couple, sat at the bar had a couple drinks had a very flavorful dinner and then back to the bar for after dinner- drinks not knowing this would end our wonderful celebration, I put cash on the bar to buy a drink and when it came time to buy another, I needed more cash, now keep in mind, 4 people a $20 bill each time and not everyone had a drink, so I mentioned this to the other lady, we began to keep and eye on the young blonde behind the bar on Saturday- 10/2/2011, sure enough ! She had on a hooded WI sweatshirt with the pouch in front and that pouch was packed with cash ! You could see the buldges ! We watched her shove money in the pouch ! I asked her to come over an said can you write up a receipt for the drinks I have purchased ? It would be a total of 8 drinks , I wanted to see if the total was $38.50 BEFORE I accused.. As suspected.. it was not-$9.50 short, she could not explain, AND within 5 minutes packed up her belongings and left the bar. I then called over the guy working the bar with her , he avoided me as long as he could and then cam over and was very rude. Told me to kiss his a...... And told us to get out of the bar. Now I am almost 60 yrs old and let me just say I have never been treated so badly ! I will NEVER go back in that place again, and yes..I tried to contact an owner and got no where. So.. should you choose to patronize this place, avoid the bar ! Cause am pretty sure those 2 were working together helping themselves to a tip! And they should probably be fired !
